The week had started out simple enough.
Carine had come to this area just for some relaxation, a time out from her usual 'work' so to speak. Never in her life would she have predicted that someone with a job for her could have found her. The envelope came in a nice white package with her name in a fancy scrawl right across the front. As she had opened it, after sniffing it and making sure no poison was in it, she had discovered that someone with a rather large checkbook was willing to pay her a handsome sum if she did just one innsy winnsy thing for them. Not a problem right?
Wrong! Carine was here for vacation. She had not planned on doing anything but maybe going out and having fun and possibly toying with a few men. All women loved to do that, right? Well, she should have anyway. But truth be told, this was what Carine had been holding her breath for. A job. Just something to do while she was on her supposed vacation. A lot of hunter would have been throughly pissed, but not Carine. She was a Castrilli and Castrilli's lived for the hunt.
So what was she to be hunting? Ah, there it was in a neat handwriting. An ancient Lycan. Wow, she hadn't met one of those before, let alone tried to kill one. This would be an honor, a privilege to do this job. So where the hell did you find a Lycan around here? That wasn't too hard to figure out after following a couple of Lycans just about everywhere they went. Something called 'Underground' and an older Lycan had caught her attention. He was a fighter? Good, she liked a good challenge; something she could really sink her teeth into.
She found her way into the fighting ring and waited. Her new 'boss' had sent her a sample of his scent. And being a panther that she was, she could find him easily if he was here. It proved he was here. Right there in the ring with another Lycan beating the shit out of each other. Carine let a slow smile steal across her lips. So he would be a challenge then. Good, she hated the easy kill. And he looked strong enough that this could prove to be one of her more intresting kills. Her hair flew out behind her as she moved her way through the heated bodies of the Lycans so she could get a better look and possible catch his eye enough to get him intrigued.

He had fought about ten rounds undefeated. Focused on his current victum---Err...Challenger. He was a rather big fella like they all were, hot head, and arrogent. An easy target for the anicent. A vicious roared came from his enemy as the fighter changed to his lycan form. While the anicent remained human and masked, on for the next damn hunter to fight for his head. Still he thought of his closest slave kitty, wondering how she was fairing without at the home. Quickly he returned his mind to the fight at hand.
As usual he remain as he was stanceless. Just standing there, arms folded waiting allowing his prey to hit. The other wolf, not thinking charged in, not even caring about the other fights that have gone by. The anicent's stratgy was allow the attacker to attack and then anaylze. The wolf reckless gave a left hook, then right, and continued on with his strong punches. Rather then kick, patheic, no grapple moves, just punches. He will be alot easier.
Round one was over, He looked at the younger wolf. He ran in again thinking he had the advantage. Again using the right hook. Easily the anicent blocked and gripped his wrist and twisting the younger wolf into submission, placing a knee on the back of his arm. "Choose...Submit or I break your arm." The younger wolf roared not giving in. "It is that you don't give up but I'm afraid....You lose an arm" With a quick snapping motion with his hand and knee. A loud cry came from the young wolf as he finally sumbitted, reverting to his human self crying.
"Don't become arrogant if you know you will lose a fight." At the same moment he smelled a shapeshifter. A woman. He listened to the heart beat. He heart full of lust for blood, a fun time with killing. She was a hunter. Crap, just what he needed. He smelled the air again, from the smell he was guessing she was somewhat attractive. Maybe he could talk his way out of a fight.

He was good at this. Carine might actually have a fight on her hands when she finally confronted him. Yes, she had had some good challenges in her career as a hunter, but he looked pretty formiddable. Carine would have to keep in mind that he was good with his hands especially. She was not tiny, but he could easily crush her if need be. She didn't like the thought of that, but she had to keep it in mind. And he didn't move much. Huh, kind of like a rock sort of. Great, this was going to be rather fun.
Carine shoved her way pass a rather large Lycan and felt him grab at her ass. Okay, no one grabbed Carine Castrilli's ass. Her panther claws popped out and she swiped so fast, he didn't have time to move before blood poured all over the dirty ground. "Don't touch me ever again dog," she spat back at him as she woved her way through the others. She needed to get closer, she needed to see his style before she could make her own against him. Carine dispised most Lycans. She had a Lycan for a lover once, and she would never forget him, but other than him...she hated them.
Man, what was with Lycans? Were they all cocky jerks or somethng? Carine watched him as he took down the younger wolf and smiled lightly. Well, that was rather nice. He could really fight without doing much at all. Another thing she had to remember. He was fast too, but Carine knew she was faster than anyone. Why? Because she had trained her ass off to be the best and she was the best. In her book anyway. Who cared if she was being a little big-headed about herself, she had to be confident in order to win fights against the bigger monsters.
She slid to the front of the crowd and watched closely. There, she could see him but he couldn't see her. For the moment anyway. He would get to see her later when he was in a...less agressive mood. Right now, she just needed to gain his trust. Just enough to get close and allow her a death strike. But then again, he was an ancient according to the information. She should watch herself. Carine purposely bumped into a big guy and excused herself rudely. The Lycan moved in on her and she grinned inwardly. Now it was her turn to prove herself and get some attention from her victim.

He growl slowly. His brutality began to show when he attacked another contender. Feeling an impending attack from the other lycan. A lycan that tries to sucker punch? Great that could be why they were known as thugs instead of warriors. The air was now filled with the womans scent. The scent was somewhat familiar now but at the same time strange and new. He pondered for a moment and quickly removed the thought from his mind.
His next match wasn't for another few hours, so he decide to walk to the bar to grab a drink or two. It's been thousands of year and beer and other alcohols still remained surpreme. How sad, but then again he couldn't really complain, due to him always drinking at some point of the day or in this case night. He closed his eyes when he recieved his drink. Began to think a bit, his older memories, family dying, hunters after the wrong people. Goodness what a life. Sad part is he can't die unless somehow killed, and he is almost immune to silver...Well kinda.
His chain of thought was destroyed after hearing a woman rudely speak to a lycan. at the same time the smell returned to his nose. It was the same woman, he opens his eyes and turns his body. She was indeed attractive, but rude. But what was he to judge. The lycan returned with a devilish growl. Not good, the woman was a hunter and an arrogent lycan was an easy target. He stood and intervened. Speaking smooth instead of putting fear into anyone's hearts.
"Now, now." He began to speak. "A Lycan like yourself can easily kill this young woman. You don't want to be known as a pussy do you?" The lycan shook his head, a smile on his face. What a big head. The other lycan turned and walked away. "I apologize...Good lady." Trying to be coy. "Lycans almost have no manners. And a lady lycan yourself should be treated better."

Carine shoved the Lycan off and snarled. If he didn't get the point, then no one here would. She let her nails grow out of her leather gloves and she hissed violently under her breath. "Back the hell up bitch. You don't want any." If that didn't say it all, then Lycan's really did have mush for brains. Carine let another hiss go and turned away from him. She wanted to keep a close eye on her prey...uh, rather target. She couldn't play with her food. She had a job to do.
As he moved out of the ring, she followed stealth like. She let her panther senses take over so she could feel and hear everything. This was so much better. Carine could nearly taste the blood from the ring, the sweat from the Lycans muscles as they fought, the pure smell of carnage as it hit the floor. She just loved being a shifter. Maybe she should change into her wolf form more though. That way she wouldn't be so attractive to the Lycans. They seemed to like cats for some reason. Silver, she had that right? Oh, and her other weapons if she needed them. She was more than prepared.
As the Lycan she hit grabbed at her again, she heard a cool voice and turned around. She kept an eye on the Lycan, but it was her target speaking. At least she didn't have to wear herself out on nobody. He got rid of the ass. "Yeah, you'd think they'd get the point after I cut their friend," Carine replied in a thick Italian accent. She was pretty old by shifter's standards, but this Lycan was really old. She could smell it on him. "Thanks, but I could have taken care of that." And she could have. Carine was an excellent fighter. One of THE best there was among her kind and her hunter kind. But she wasn't going to tell him that last part. "The name's Alyssa. Nice to meet you." She held out her hand and smiled her most polite smile. Alyssa...wow she hadn't said that name in a long time.

"Alyssa." He said calmly. "A sweet name. For a rather vicious lady." Not yet believing her little ploy. From going berserk to the other lycan, to sweet and innocent to him. Either he was her target. Or she is just a bit crazy in the head. He looks he up and down anaylzing her as if he was a robot. But kept himself from looking suspicious, by moving his head or anything in that manner. More of the guy checking the girl out kind of thing.
Looking for any weapons other than her own ability. From what he knew so far, a form of hers was panther. A strong animal, but not equal the strength of a lycan. What else? Did she have other weapons, he didn't see they were all consealed. Anyhow he had to try to aviod a fight either way.
"Can I offer you a drink?" Trying to show his kindness to her, still keeping a safe distance both phsyically and emotionally. "We can get to know each other." He said softly and sweet. If there was anything he learned from all these years. Is how to be nice to a woman.

Alyssa, sweet? Please, Carine was anything but sweet. She perked a brow playfully and smiled, "A woman has to defend herself sometimes." Carine had never been a girly-girl and sweet wasn't even in her vocabulary. But he didn't have to really know that. That look on his face said otherwise though. He might have a feeling about her and if he did, she was going to have to work harder to get rid of it. She watched him analyze her and once he was finished, she did some looking of her own. There, two can play that game.
Huh, he looked light even though she knew very well that his strength was great. Joyful, she was going to have to make sure to shoot him up with a lot of silver once she got the chance. That was what she could concentrate on tomorrow; silver. But she hated touching the stuff, it gave her the creeps. But right now, she needed to work on her filirting. She had never been good at that unfortunately.
"That would be nice, thanks," her tone was softer and a little wistful. That was filrty...right? Hell if she knew, she just wanted to get rid of him and go on with her life. She had things to do, more things to kill, and people to threaten. "I like the sound of that." Well, at least the Lycan had manners. Thankfully she wouldn't have to put up with a slob or pervert. Carine would attack for something like that. "So, what's your name. You never got around to telling me that."

He watched eyes as she eyed him, she was definitly skilled to see that he was anaylzing her. "A woman wouldn't have to, if well you didn't hang out in a place like this right?" He said hinting he knew. But remain steadfast, showing he didn't want a fight. Too bad, she seemed to be a very nice girl, but she was going to find out she was in over her head. He looked over her body once, seeing small bumps, great yet another gun user. If she was prepared, silver bullets.
"Ok then." He said kindly to her. Her ability to filrt needed some work. "Two drinks on me." He smiled softly under his masks and his eyes closed for a moment. He recieves his drink from the bartender. He picked them up and hands them over to her.

Carine's smile thinned and she wanted to attack then and there. Damn, well, he was a Lycan and it was rather obvious what she was. Why couldn't she have pretended to be a slave or something? Wore something slutty to catch his eye and make him drool? Because she was never a girly-girl or a slut, that's why. Carine wanted to smack herself in the forehead, but remained in her position. "I just came to see the fights. I was told they were good sometimes and was curious." Joyful, this was not going to be easy. Not one damn little bit. And he kept checking her out and she knew he knew she had weapons on her. Damn, good thing she brought the silver. It may not hurt him, but could render him helpless.
She muttered under her breath something about needed to get this over with and sighed. Flirting was not going to get her no where because she sucked at it. Carine guessed it was time to just lure him out and kill him. That money promised wasn't going to earn itself now was it? She picked up her glass and smiled a little. She couldn't get tipsy even, she needed a clear head. "Thanks...so I guess you fight here often? Being a Lycan and all."

"I'm guessing your a bit violent then aren't you?" He said softly and jokingly. He took a seat next to the bar. "Fights are something, I do to help feed my slaves and my family. I don't fight just because I can." He sighes a bit knowing she was still going to fight him. Even if he was kind to her, might as well get ready for a fight.
He takes a sip of his drink, waiting for her to make her move. Playing it cool he continued the conversation. "So you to watch fights do ya? Have you been in any of other fights yourself?" He rolled his shoulders foreword and back to relax himself before taking another sip. He was hoping she wasn't think he was stupid or something.

Carine was going to retort with a rude comment, but snapped her mouth shut while her teeth grinded. She needed to stay calm around him. "I do what I have to to survive Lycan." She watched him as he confessed his reason for fighting and felt a bit of sympathy for him. She knew that life only too well. "Then we aren't so different," she mumbled as she played with her drink. Soon, she would have to make her move. Get him out and away from here so she could do her job.
"Fights? Yes, I have watched them before." Did she enjoy them? No, Carine hated to fight sometimes despite her obvious skill in killing others like herself. She sat the drink down and pointed to the ring. "See the ring? I grew up in the ring. My father had me train to kill every since I was a child. I have had broken bones, fractured things, and almost died more times than I can count by my own father's hands. So, yes, I have fought before. And I am not afraid to do so again." Carine walked off, but before she was out of his sights, she turned and looked over her shoulder. "We are not so different, you and I."

He takes a drink with a relived sigh. "What is so great about living exactly? Now why live if life is is nothing but violence for you?" He takes another drink. "I doubt you want to hear my life." He said yawning a bit. "Now I know your after my head. And all...." He said flirtously. "Lets take a break from all this fighting. And have some fun?" He laughed a bit his guard still up. This wasn't a very good time to flirt, but hey it might work. He buys her another drink patting the seat next to him.
"Come on now." He said sweetly to her. His body position was laid back but his body heat kept his body warm enough for another fight. It was all up to her now, making heat with some love. Or heat with the side of smelly blood. All up to her.

She didn't like where this was going. "I live because I can and hell, if you hadn't noticed, there are some pretty kickass things around here that are worth the ride." Carine rolled her eyes and flicked her long hair over her shoulder. He was grating her nerves. She needed to kill him and get this over with. She looked back at him and grinned. "Oh, really? Then why haven't you done anything to stop me? Are you too afraid to hit a woman?" She kept her eyes on him, watching every little move. She was not going to be played like a card. Another drink to loosen her tongue and her head. Nope, she wasn't going to play this game of his. "You can drink that yourself Lycan." Carine wasn't going to come any closer yet. He would just have to get over it.
She smiled sweetly for a second and licked her lips. She may not be too great in the flirting department, but she knew how to make a man sweat in fear. Or at least worry. "No, I don't feel like it." Carine pulled out a knife and twirled it around in her fingers back and forth. "I really don't feel like talking anymore. I'd rather just kill you and get this over with. I have things to do." She perked a brow and waited for his response. They could do this here or somewhere else, but she would kill him because it was her job.
