The Storm Manor, home of the mighty Storm Clan and the de jure leader of the vampires in the city. Lucius Erif graced the mansion from time to time, advising the Storm Clan and its leaders as a vampire elder on things. However, he always declined invitations to swear his allegiance and join the coven. He much preferred his independence and his status as a neutral power in the blood feud between the various races, predominantly the lycans and vampires. Nonetheless, he still would advise and assist occasionally the operations of the coven and its leader, Kayen.
Now was one such time. The vampire elder had been told that the Lycans were to attack Club Cyanide very soon. It was not out any sense of undying loyalty that he now made his way to the Storm Manor to warn its lord, but rather a desire to protect his business interests. The elder had no means to stop the impending attack, but he wanted to make sure that Kayen lived to rebuild. Hiro had told Lucius to warn Kayen to stay away from the club during the attack, lest the Lycans serve his head back to the Storm Clan on a silver platter. Such friendly imagery.
Standing dressed in a sleek dark outfit, the media and telecommunications magnate entered the foyer of Lord Storm's home, his blue eyes glancing around and admiring the architecture and artwork, as he always had. Lucius had not paid a visit to Kayen in some time now, so had no idea what the younger vampire may have been up to, but he was sure that the master of vampires was in his home at the time-- he could feel him. "Kayen. It's Erif. I come with important news," said Lucius, his voice echoing throughout the halls of the mansion to let its master know he was here.

Kayen had been sitting in the living room watching the huge flat screen TV when he felt the presence of the other Vampire and then he heard the voice. He stood up slowly and as he headed for the foyer, his black leather trench coat flowed behind him. Black leather boots thudded gently on the floor as Kayen stepped through the opened door and he saw Lucius. He nodded his head as he walked towards the other Vampire.
"Ahh my dear Lucius... what news have you?" Kayen asked as he stood a few feet from him. He was armed under the trench coat but he doubted it would be necessary as he trusted the other Vampire. Nevertheless, Kayen's eyes remained alert for anything out of the ordinary.

The blue eyes of the vampire elder fell upon the lord of vampires as he entered the room, gazing him over. Lucius had been partially involved in the selection of Kayen as the leader of the vampires, along with some of the other elders. So far, the vampire had done well, but Lucius knew that it would probably never last. Few things ever did. Lucius had been around for Kayen's predecessor, and the vampire who came before that, and the one before that, and knew he would probably be around for whoever succeeded Lord Storm. However, with a little bit of luck and some manipulating of situations, perhaps Kayen would survive longer than most. That was, after all, why Lucius had come to visit the Storm Manor.
Not one to beat around the bush, he cut right to the chase. "Sometime between now and a few days from now, the Lycans are planning to strike Club Cyanide in full force. It will be a raid that you are unprepared for, Lord Storm. I fear for your personal safety, as they will target you specifically if you are present, and suggest that you avoid the club for the next few days," said Lucius, speaking bluntly. He had other opinions about what was transpiring and why, but he awaited the word of Kayen to continue on any speculation. "I also suggest keeping high-priced slaves away from the club for the next few days as well."

Kayen chuckled as he paced around the room and then he turned to look at his Elder Vampire. Lucius was smart but apparently he had missed a few things. And Kayen was about to correct him. "Ahh my dear Lucius I think you've missed something. I have been fired from Club Cyanide, which is impossible quite frankly but that little piss ant Incardnay thought it was a good idea. You have no need to worry about me, but I'd like you to make sure none of the other full bloods get involved in the attack. We're going to allow the Lycans to take the Club from the Psychics and then we'll make a move...."

The vampire elder listened closely to the vampire lord's response. It was acceptable enough; leaders were meant to have such confidence and power about their characters. "I just warn you to stay away from the club for now. I will do all that is within my power to ensure that other full-bloods remain aware and unscathed by what is to transpire," replied Lucius, nodding his head to Kayen. The coven leader's plan was certainly interesting. Allow mutual enemies to fight each other and then move in to clean up. It seemed suitable enough. Of course, it had its dangers, though it was a crap shoot as to who was in the most precarious position. Lucius decided already that it would be fun to watch. "So, allow the Lycans to unseat the Psychics and then move in while both parties are temporarily weakened. This is quite an interesting idea, and I think it has some merit, m'lord. Though, what if the Lycans do not intend to take over Cyanide, but merely disrupt its business? Could be dangerous."
The elder had his ideas as to what the Lycans were up to. They were being quite clever. "Just be careful, Lord Storm, and make sure that other full bloods are behind you in whatever you do. I sense that this game between us all is about to become quite more dangerous," said Lucius.

Kayen nodded his head as he listened to the elder vampire. He was right, it had dangers either way but Kayen had his ideas of how to ensure success. As Erif finished, Kayen spoke. "Even if the Lycans don't take the club, they will weaken their forces. And then I will go in and finish Incardnay off myself if I must. Either way, he will get the worst of this situation. But I assure you I will be careful and I will protect my dear Ravina..."

Well, this was going to be quite an interesting thing to watch, thought Lucius. The politics between the three factions--pure blood vampires, psychic vampires, and lycans--was going to change considerably quite soon. How fascinating. Lucius would make sure to be waiting in the shadows to sweep in and protect anything that required it for the stability of the city and his own personal business enterprises.
Feeling his work completed, the vampire elder bowed his head once more to Kayen. "Very well, Lord Storm. Unless you require anything further, I shall take my leave then. Busy man, as you know. If anything arises or you require my assistance, you have my number and address," said media and telecommunications magnate to the vampiric master. With one more nod, Lucius turned to make his way from the Storm Manor and off to attend to other pressing business.

Kayen nodded his head and then he watched as Lucius walked away. After he was gone, Kayen shut the large oak door which was reinforced by an internal layer of iron. As the door shut with a loud echoing thud, Kayen pushed the steel bolt lock into place and then he turned and returned to the living room. Flopping across the couch, he picked up the television control and turned the volume up. He was largely unperturbed by the news and it was obvious.
