She reclined on the couch, leaning against the arm and keeping one leg crossed over the other as she cast scrutiny along the furnishing of the room, and anything that happened to be on display. It seemed as of lately, Anastasia was finding her self in the oddest situations. One day she is talking a walk down a flooding street with an elder vampire, and the next she is flying through the skies with a black angel. Such a change of pace, perhaps who she was becoming was not so bad. Sure, the monster was a fault, but as long as she continued allowing herself to take chances and actually live her life the way it was meant to be (to its fullest) then she would find things moving more smoothly.
The shooting on the street today had surely been reported, people just leaving work or in their cars being witness to her attempt to stop him from fleeing. She had nothing to worry about, Alex being an Ex Con it wasn't going to endanger her job by any means. Like stated before, the other police officers hated dealing with her when it came to a simple speeding ticket, let alone a shooting in a public place of a man who had not threatened her life in any means. Being an ex con gave you a reputation for life. And so did being a vampire hunter. Seems even humans had an odd sense of fear around Anastasia, but she put that down to simply her intimidating attitude. Confidence can come in many packages, and hers just happened to be a petite one, that was busting at the seams.
Aex left the room to retrieve the paper and pen, and never took as long as she had expected he would. Actually in the back of her mind, she half expected him to take his leave out the back door. Oh shit. With that thought, she stood up rather suddenly, heavy steel toed stainless knee highs thudding on the floor as she took a few long strided steps toward the direction he had headed, only to see him on his way back. Hand that had been on her hip was instantly relaxed. Cool your jets woman, even if he had fled the premises, what did you plan on doing, shooting the place up? Nonsense, get a grip.
A polite smile was offered, a mask over the earlier frustration that she had let him out of her sights. He sat down and began to write, his beat tapped out before her and she gave him a nod. "Catchy." She offered, moving around him to take a seat on the couch yet again, crossing one leg over the other as if she had never moved from this spot to begin with. Once she was done, she took a piece of the paper and pen, leaning forward to hover over the table as she looked across it at him. "I just need you to tell me what happened. Start at the beginning."

"Catchy."
He looked back, appreciative of the compliment that she gave him. He needed that kind of feedback before he dared finishing his own songs. It was a peeve of his, if he didnt get feedback from someone, then he wouldnt finish the song. The man smiled and looked down at his formerly injured leg. The paces where bullets had pierced his skin had scabbed over and the internal damage was healed. He smiled, the only thing that was left as a reminder were two small light colored scars on his dark skin. "Well seeing as my leg is healed, I can finish my walk later today.." he saied softly. Alex looked about the room where his brown eyes fell upon the family he left back in Nigeria to escape from the war. That in which he had participated in was more brutal and more bloody than any war he had seen this country come into. His real mother, his father, four brothers and two sisters were in Nigeria, he hoped every day they were safe and sound despite the conflicts that had struck the land. He missed them, he remembered their personalities and their quirks. Maybe one day when he wasnt so busy he could see them again. Or so he hoped.
The memories he had of them were the only memories of people who didnt leave his side and had supported his always. because of the galm of fame and fortune he seemed to have high class friends that were in the mile high club, but no. It was all a facade to the public. He never considered anyone a friend unless he could really trust them. Anastasia fortunately was one of the few he had on his list of friends and allies. But when you broke the trust of the black angel you didnt get it back ever again. Ah yes, the memories of the past. The memories of the former friends, the allies that betrayed him, and the cheating lovers. It all flooded back to him like waves crashing upon the shore. He didn't pay mind to the memories even when he averted his eyes from the picture and sighed loudly. The song he seemed to love to sing was that of apologies to people, he had hurt in the past.
"I just need you to tell me what happened. Start at the beginning."
He nodded and smiled, "Well it was around 4 pm here in the city when i decided to go for a walk, i couldnt fall asleep and well.. my employees said that it wasnt healthy to work for 36 hours straight so i was gonna go for a walk. So I did, and so i walked around in the rain and it got really bad, and this stupid guy was gonna walk into the middle of the road with a car speeding down it. So I pushed him away from the road so he didnt get hurt, but i guess he took that as a reason to start a fight. The guy thought itd be smart to punch me, so I normally would have walked away but the fact i saved his life made me stay." He paused and sighed, "Ignorant bastard continued to push my buttons till well i decided to give him a taste of his own medicine so i punched him back square in the jaw and towards the center of his chest and with that he was collapsed on the ground in severe pain."
Alex smiled, "Thats when you arrived, and we had our own little scuffle." Alex nodded in approval "Oh- and just before I punched him he called the cops on me." the entire situation was rather amusing to him, "Ain't it Ironic that you were the one to lock me up, and here we are again" he chucked softly. However it was Ironic and he seemed to find it funny. "You got angry at me for leaving without you earlier, if you wanted to come with me to see my studio you could have come." He looked her in the eyes "I told you Im done runnin' from the law. It makes no sense." With that he stood up and sat on the smaller loveseat across from her by the table. "Besides agent Steele, there is no running from you. You'll catch a criminal no matter what it takes." Alex laughed at that comment, "I remember that from personal expierence" Well all Alex was hoping now was that she wasn't pissed off at him again or hed be screwed.
He sat there and watched her, letting the music of his soul sing itself through his mind.

She had always found it hard to remain angry at someone who was being so polite. Unless, of course, beneath the facade of polite comments was a sarcasm, or a hidden meaning mean to aim below the belt. Anastasia was the queen of sarcasm, but lets get it right- she could dish it but she couldn't always take it. Watching the man sit there so pleased that she had complimented him, and so engrossed in his work, it made her relax even more. He was no threat to society any more than the paper she held was to cutting her. There were always accidents, but the paper didn't just lunge at you and go for your throat. She was beginning ot get a better understanding of Alex, "Alex, do you have any of your last albums handy? I wouldn't mind buying one off of you." She gave him a genuine smile. In truth, she just wanted to get in to his mind. And what better way then through his lyrics.
He began to tell her what happened earlier that night. She jotted down notes, keeping it simple and ensuring that he wasn't going to have any more visits from the cops. Truth was, she never had to hide any details because he was fully in his right. Self defense, even if you are bigger than the guy who attacked you, is still self defense. She jotted down the chase she gave, and made sure to include details as to why, when and where she shot him. Just the thought of what she had done ot him made her shake his head. She had the wrong impression when she had showed up. Upon her arrival all she saw was an Ex Con, whom she knew was not human, standing while a smaller man lay curled up in pain, screaming that he had been attacked. 'Well seeing as he was the one who called the cops, any other cop would have taken his word over yours. So I think you are lucky we had this little reunion, otherwise I am positive you would have been seeing the inside of another jail cell."
Alex spoke of continuing his walk tonight and she arched a brow in interest, "You plan on going back out in the rain tonight? Even after what happened earlier? Well if that is the case I wouldn't mind an escort back to my car. I seem to run in to trouble every time I step foot on these streets after dark alone. I guess it is the fact I am human, either that or I am an attack magnet, I cannot be too sure."[/b] She grinning, her sense of humor showing through to prove she was not in a bad mood, or in any way angry with him. "And you are damn right."She gave him a professional wink, "You wouldn't have made it far, I am sure I would have found you sooner than later."

Everything I have, everything I own All my mistakes man you already know I wanna be free, I wanna be free (Konvict) He wanted to be free, but if he was destined to stay a black angel, he'd be the best damned black angel on this earth. He'd be the kindest of his kind and maybe, even something that wasnt a black angel or white. Maybe a happy medium ne? Silver. She laughed inwardly at the thought of being a silver angel instead of the stereotypical black and white. Alex looked at her, she really was beautiful when she was happy. It seemed to radiate from her. It made the man happy to know he brought joy to someones life if only for a little while. The sense of fulfillment was something that he couldn't possibly explain, it was like flying, it was like that freedom he felt when he had soared through the skies like acrobats. those acrobatics were amazing. He loved to fly and wouldn't mind taking Ana for another flight sometime. After all, she seemed to love it just as much as he did. He hummed a tune softly to himself as he lay down on his loveseat. His legs half hanging off the edge before Ana spoke to him. "Alex, do you have any of your last albums handy? I wouldn't mind buying one off of you."He flitted his eyes towards her, and smiled, "I think i have the perfect thing for you." He smiled, He'd give her his newest beta CD. Along with his latest offical release. He hopped off the couch with a rather cliché single airborne situp. "Follow Me Anastasia" He said to her in a rather happy tone, walking towards his recording studio. He stepped slowly before coming to the door to descend into the studio. He opened it and waited for her to go down the stairs first, "After you" he said with a laugh, and he walked down the stairs, into the rather large basement that served as his recording studio for the most part. The clutz that Alex was being at that moment made itself rather evident as he leaned on a button that played his latest new song. A love song, a song of hope and strength, and something that he loved with all of his heart. The lyrics were written so long ago when he was with the first woman he ever fell in love with his first love... Long before now, back when he was a gang member.. I can tell you're tired of being lonely Take my hand don't let go baby hold me Come to me let me be your one and onlyHe abruptly stopped the song, despite the fact it was honestly one of his most touching and most truthful love songs that werent about sex all the time. he grinned sheepishly. "Despite the fact I'd love to show you this new recording, I cant thanks to my contract" The Black angel walked towards a large wall of discs and recordings, and handed her a CD, "It probably wont matter to much to ya but.." he stopped and autographed it. "Just in case somehow I disappear from the face of the earth" he laughed lightly before handing her a brand new record and the very first original copy of his newest Album featuring his hit songs Freedom and Beautiful. Freedom was a summary of who he was, who he is, and who he wanted to become. He wanted to make himself a better person and he ways getting closer every time he did something good. He smiled at her, "Like I said earlier, I could fly you to your Car, You could sleep in a room in the guest hall here, or I could get My butler to chauffeur you to your car. Whichever you like Im fine with." "You plan on going back out in the rain tonight? Even after what happened earlier? Well if that is the case I wouldn't mind an escort back to my car."He chuckled and smiled, "It's nice weather, I love the rain.. Some of my best songs were written on rainy days because those days gave me time to think. But, I do think It would be a little chilly outside" He said smiling before walking towards a small closet and pulling out a Grey jacket, "You can wear it if you want, it may be a bit big but i think it'd keep you warm out there" Alex grinned at her, "It may smell like my cologne, so I don't know if walking home or to the station smelling like some guys cologne would be smart" He walked towards her and set the jacket down on the table beside her and smiled lightly, "Besides if i flew you it'd be really cold up there in the air right now." The short black haired man was such a good guy now.. he knew his father would be proud of him when he returned to Nigeria just for a visit, to see them and to see how they were doing. Alex smiled, and thought of something else off the top of his head, "Hey if you're not working this Saturday I have a show, how's about a backstage pass, ya could meet my whole crew. It may be just as good as that CD as well. You don't need to pay me by the way. I don't charge for a CD that I personally give someone." "I seem to run in to trouble every time I step foot on these streets after dark alone. I guess it is the fact I am human, either that or I am an attack magnet, I cannot be too sure."He laughed at that single comment, "Well I do apologize for causing so much trouble for you today. But any creature should be able to plainly see you're a human, but not a human to be fucked with..." He said in a voice that was animated in the fact that it exaggerated the comment, but he truthfully meant what he said. He loved that sarcasm that she used with so many of her comments, She wasnt one of the mindless party women he stumbled upon at a club. In fact she was one of the few women that wouldn't always beg him for something. Maybe it was because he was an ex convict, but it didn't matter, all that did however, was the fact that he seemed to like the fact that she seemed happy here for at least a while. He was rather happy he had made her laugh for a while and smile. He knew that being a cop could eat away at someone and make them cold and cynical towards the world, and make them view it with distrust. He hoped that she could at least trust him somewhat like he did her. Then again he often found the best points in someone like her and brought them out and polished them until they shined like freshly cut diamond. "And you are damn right. You wouldn't have made it far, I am sure I would have found you sooner than later."He laughed smiled at her as she winked at him, "Somehow You're the only cop I wouldn't mind getting caught by" Now he hoped to lord she didn't take it like most women would, he was being honest, she was the only cop he would walk to jail in cuffs with. The other cops would have such a hard time with him they'd need to sedate him like they would an animal. "But I don't plan on causing much trouble, so you wont have to worry about me, Anastasia Steele" He said with a laugh before walking towards the stairs. "Its beginning to get dark, should we head out now or do you wish to visit more?"

Her attention was perked when he so lightheartedly leap from his reclined position to his feet. Smiling still, partly amused, the rest just in overall enjoyment of what a different person he had become. From what she could remember of him, which wasn't all that much, the Alex that stood infront of her now was a new creation. Molded out of clay by he, himself. It was obvious he as trying to become a better person. He wanted to make things right, to fix what he had done in the past and was seeking a new path in life. It was intrigung to say the least and it inspired her own hope of fending off her own monsters.
Anastasia followed him, nearly at his side as he seemed polite enough to not wander too far ahead of her. For once, when he held the door open for her to descend the stairs, she turned her back to him and stepped down them calmly. It was not a common ritual for Ana to turn her back on anyone, friend, or foe, or even the dead for that matter. These trust issues ran deep, and with a friend like she had in the neighboring city who she felt she was slowly evolving in to a likeness with, she knew that even friends could kill each other without hesitation once you get to a certain point. It was a scary thought, but it kept her on her toes. And so far, she was alive, so perhaps it wasn't o bad after all.
Descending the stairs in to the studio she looked around with interest as to the gadgets and displays. Everything was clean and in order. Not very often you found a man who kept things so tidy, she was pleased. Upon first meeting him back when she had arrested him for gang activity, she could never have imagined this side of him. The sweet sensual music that flowed through the air caught her attention and she smiled at him. "You are far more talented than I could have ever imagined, Alex. I must apologize for underestimating you this entire time. You have truly taken me by surprise." It was the truth, and she had no problem stating it as such.
Handing her the CD, and signing it, she smiled, "Is this the part where I scream 'Oh my gawd I am your biggest fan, will you marry me?!'" She joked, not in an attempt to be rude, but more to make him laugh. She knew how fan girls could be- overly obnoxious and self centered. As he offered her a few options as to how to get back to her car, and soon after asked when she would like to take their leave. She stepped in the direction of the stairway, looking at Alex, "Where is this Butler and when is he available?" She smiled, knowing that once again she did not mean it in a rude manner whatsoever. "I am not fond of leaving my keys in my unlocked car.. half parked on the sidewalk. Call me materialistic, but that car is my life."Truth was, it was her dads car. A '69 Boss 302, built and rebuilt by his own hands, with many years of his sweat and blood in to it. It was given to her when he passed away, and to this day she would die to keep it in her own hands. It was precious to her.

Someones soul was the key to their music, their music was their heart and mind put to words and notes and beats. Alex was no exception, all of his music on the CD he had given her had a lot of his personal struggles, and what he wanted in life, well what he wanted in his life was rather easy to guess. A Woman that wasnt a whore and wanted him for his money. That was a self explanatory easy thing for any person to guess. But Alex had no luck in the business of love and dating. All he's had were whores, or women who wanted his money. He shook his head and snapped himself out of those thoughts. They were for another time when he didn't have a guest at his house. Those kinds of thoughts and the pain and dislike for people like that were what fed the monster within the man that was created when he was serving in the war in Nigeria. Nigeria, like all of Africa was at war, Religious conflicts between tribes like his own Igbo whom where christian, and the Muslim Hausa. Many bloody conflicts have erupted between the two tribes in the past and now in the present. The Male yawned, he was somewhat tired, but he did not mind flying her to her car if she wanted. He had noticed something, that she had turned her back to him... he knew that wasnt something she normally would have done. He knew that she would normally have just walked beside him rather than before him. So he took that as a sign that she was actually somewhat trusting of the ex convict despite the fact that he had a bad past. Maybe she wasnt like the other cops that said "Once a convict always a convict". Maybe thanks to saving that one white angel and seeing this cop once more, maybe he had just that extra bit of faith to regain his white wings and go back to the person he belonged as. He always though that he had a chance to make right what he did wrong and everyday he tried to rectify every sin and everything he had ever done to a family or a person. So many people he had seen cry and thank him for finally apologizing, maybe for their son's death or other unexpected losses, like his thefts. In fact he had given the families quite a bit of cash, even though cash wouldn't replace a lost son or daughter, it would at least help them in the troublesome economy. He was Happy to know that he rectified his sins, and his bad deeds he had committed, and he was happy he was turning his life around when he idly mumbled... "Wonder what it would be like to become a white angel again..." However that goal was a long way off, as he had many sins to rectify and many people to heal. Maybe it was this kind of spirit that he possessed that gave people courage to look within themselves to find the strength and resolve to fight their skeletons in the closet, no matter how big or scary they were. It always made him so happy to see people fixing their lives after overcoming an inner demon that may have plagued them for years of their lives and begin to heal from it. Those that healed had become so much better, better people, better workers, better parents, better everything. The Young man was someone that people knew as a healer but none of them knew that he was the singer their kids blared on the radio many times late at night. He remembered one time he drove past a house that had one of his songs blaring and he sung the song as he drove acapella and people looked at him like he was the singer because he could sing the songs so well. But none of them knew for sure if he was the read Ndubueze Obiora. "You are far more talented than I could have ever imagined, Alex. I must apologize for underestimating you this entire time. You have truly taken me by surprise."He looked back at her with a warm smile. "Underestimation is no foreign topic for me m'dear. But I am glad I surprised you. I guess it shows that I do want to change ne?" Alex replied to her with his eyes locked on her for a split second. "You surprised me as well Miss Steele. You know that? I never expected you to be so... nice to someone like me." He said with genuine surprise in his voice, "Normally I'd think you would have dragged me of to jail and locked me up before I could say a word. I appreciate having a say in my fate this time" he really did appreciate it, and again he leaked more of the song he shouldnt have, except this time he didnt care about the contract. What the people didnt know couldnt hurt them. So if you just hold my hand Baby I promise that I'll do (If you just, If you just) All I can Things will get better if you just hold my hand (yeahh) Nothing can come between us if you just hold, hold my, hold, hold my, hooold, hold my hand. The sweet music floated into his ears, the sweet harmonies and melodies sung in the song were amazing to him. "Is this the part where I scream 'Oh my gawd I am your biggest fan, will you marry me?!'" He laughed out loud and said, "Only if you want to, but don't think I'd marry you just because you're 'my biggest fan' " He joked back to her. There were plenty of other reasons much more practical to and not to stay away from this woman. However he ignored his mind and ignored anything at that moment, he just let the music take him away, "I wrote this song way back, before the second deepest scar in my heart was formed. Don't regret lovin' that girl, and I don't think I ever will. She taught me some things I carry with me to this day.." Well that was smart, letting his music basically make him tell some of his deeper secrets of his past. Jeez music did have rather odd effects to people whom were tired. "Where is this Butler and when is he available? I am not fond of leaving my keys in my unlocked car.. half parked on the sidewalk. Call me materialistic, but that car is my life."He smiled again, "He's available now, in fact i told him to get ready just in case. I do plan ahead you know." He said with a laugh. "We could head out now and get you to your car in about half an hour if the traffic is good in the city." ----------- Song in post: Hold My Hand - Akon

Anastasia held the Cd he had signed close to her abdomen, her gaze still upon Alex. Ana never had any luck in love and dating either, but when you are considered cold hearted and careless it is hard to find someone to look past such qualities. Okay, so she never truly possessed such qualities, but at first glance it was the most common impression. A young woman who was so bold and confident was thought to be the type to turn her nose up at almost anything. Half true. She would give a human a chance at holding her hand far before any other creature, not that she had ever tried. Over the past several years of her life, Anastasia had gone on only a few dates. Most of them ended in turmoil. She had a sense of duty that she could not shrug off just because the person she was with wanted to over look it to have a good time. Street violence was her thing, so when she caught something out the corner of her eye, she wasn't just going to let it slide because she was off duty.
Perhaps the worst part about Anastasia, the piece of her that scared off most of the men beyond her ability to imasculate them in public, was her lack of trust. She could never take someones word, let alone allow herself to take their side in a story that she had only heard their side of. The world was so full of bull shit these days, she had decided at a young age that she was going to sift through it all rather than stepping through it. However, when you have such qualities you have to back them up. Anastasia had to be one of the most loyal and trustworthy people there were. The most valuable thing she could offer someone was either her protection, or her word, and both had a lot of meaning behind them. She never lied, when asked a question, she would never sift through the facts and overturn those hat she felt they didn't need to know, no. Rather she would leave pieces out at times, such as her job as a cop to some of those she meets, or just tell them straight forward no matter if it would bother them or not.
"So it seems underestimation is no foreign topic to either of us" she offered with a smile. She after all, a short female police officer. It was more often than not that in time of conflict the big bad men would try to protect her and end up making the situation worse, and in the end she had to save everyone's ass. Always made for an interesting night. Emasculating men on the job was not something they took too kindly to after the fact, even if it did save their lives.
"Well dont get used to it, Alex, you never know what shenanigans will happen next. It isn't often anyone sees my nice side." in reference to his comment about her being so nice to him, and how unexpected it was. The harmonic tunes caught her attention and a smile graced her lips yet again. For someone that she tossed in to jail, he sure had a soft side that she had never expected to see. A kind place in his heart that surely was bigger than she could have imagined.
Nodding her head, she started up the stairs again, "Half an hour it is then." Pausing for him to catch up before continuing on her way up the flight of stairs. She hated to leave her car the way she had, what little piece of her parents she had left just sitting on the edge of the street, unlocked, with the keys in the ignition. Anastasia gritted her teeth as she thought about just how luck she would be if no one had seen it. But who would over look a car that was worth a minimum of fifty thousand dollars in the condition it was in? Her gut twisted, and she started to have a bad feeling that it wouldn't be where she left it.

He felt her gaze upon him, he didn't have to look at her to know she was looking at him before he snickered quietly and joked, "I know I look good, but really Ana, are you that starstruck?" He paused... "Damn, I like that name. That'll be the name of my next song, Starstruck.." He grinned, "You help me with my songs and don't even mean to." The male smiled, he never really labeled the cop as someone cold and heartless or scary. She could be but she could also be kind, and be nice to someone. But for him it wasnt the fact that he was cold or mean that seemed to get him nowhere, it was the fact he was dedicated to his music in every possible way. He stayed up long hours and often didn't come out of his studio. Even if he had a woman in his life that was just how he was, and it seemed like no woman could ever take a guy like him that worked his ass off to keep himself where he was. Most of the ignorant population thought singers and artists had it easy, but if you visited this man when he was working and not taking a walk to clear his head, well you'd see that he is dedicated... maybe to dedicated..
Oftentimes his health suffered from his dedication to work. It wasnt unusual for the man to faint or pass out in the middle of a rehearsal of his songs. Although the worst time was when he passed out on stage and he nearly was rushed to the hospital because he hadn't woken up within two minutes. The poor man woke up with the media hanging over him wondering what was wrong. Well his work ethic probably was extreme but his former military life taught him to sit there and push your limits and even when you push past them, you push past that until your bones crumble to dust. He was a war-hardened man and that was something not many people knew. The man's work ethic for his job was amazing, even when he over achieved it wasnt enough for him and he made things better and better, until he found them to be perfect. But even so, in his eyes perfection still had its flaws, so he was never satisfied with his work. He strived to be better in everything he did and that was respectable, because most men were lazy in this day and age.
"So it seems underestimation is no foreign topic to either of us"
He looked back and smiled softly, "They're stupid to underestimate you Anastasia." It was the plain and simple truth, underestimation was something you should never do, whether it was in a fight or just a casual meeting. Underestimation of someone often drives them to become better than anyone else which would eventually lead to cockiness which He had no problem identifying with. Alex sighed and stretched out as he waited for the woman to begin her ascent back to the first floor of his home. As she began to ascend she paused to let him catch up and he did so. Well on the stairs he didn't Tower over the woman and inwardly he laughed as they were equal height where she had stopped walking and he had paused his steps. The employees upstairs must've known they were heading out as one of them said to him that the Limo was ready and they could get in at any time. He smiled and thanked the girl that had notified him and went back into his mind. The songs in his soul were growing louder and stronger.. It wouldn't me much longer before they bursted forth.. and he sang his soul for the public.
"Well dont get used to it, Alex, you never know what shenanigans will happen next. It isn't often anyone sees my nice side."
He grinned "I wouldn't expect anything less than to see your usual side. I'm just appreciative that you at least gave me a glimpse of your nice side. It was a pleasant surprise from you." he replied to her last comment before continuing up the stairs and soon they reached the first floor. The expansive living area was a bit vacant as the employees went back to work and he just lightly brushed up against her without really meaning to, "Oh um.. sorry, that was rude of me.." he had a sheepish look on his face, to think this man was an ex convict? He looked like he couldn't hurt a fly, which was true because he couldn't ever catch them. He was just noticing something, her voice was nice, he kinda liked the seriousness it carried most of the time, and the times when she let go of that seriousness and actually had fun, for a change. But he felt something in his gut. Something wasnt right and he was going to find out. His gut was telling him to get the girl to her car and fast. He suddenly grabbed her hand, it was almost subconscious.. "I'm getting a bad feeling... We should get going now." With that he walked her at a brisk pace to the limo and opened the door, "After you" He murmured and after the woman got in he sat down on the seat across from her and looked out the window as the car pulled out of the drive and onto the road..

Anastasia couldn't help but laugh at his comment on being starstruck, "Biggest fan." she joked, offering him a wink as she turned to go back up the stairs. He was so much taller than her, that it was actually kind of nice to be able to look back over her shoulder and not see him towering over her. It was also rather comfortable, too. One issue she had with turning her back to people was that they were often taller than her, it lowered her sense of security and could often make her rather hostile. But Alex had so far been a good sport about all of this, and she didn't plan on turning the tables just now.
Anastasia was dedicated to her work so the point that she often took it home with her, whether she cared to or not. By this, I simply mean that is followed her home- partial reason as to why she had moved somuch over the past month. Leaving little to no paper trailed as she went, other than, of course, her name. She was well known by name, but if they didn't know her place of residence, all the better. She was getting sick and tired of getting woken by a strange walking corpse (Vampire) or other 'creepy crawly' as she likes to refer to them, and having to lay them out in her apartment. Not only did it make for a mess, or scare the neighbors, but it also left a horrible smell and usually quite a few bullet holes in the walls and a few stains. She couldn't remember how many times she had to buy a new mattress because she had been attacked in her sleep, shooting the attacker while he hovered over her in surprise. Oh the blood bath.
Reaching the top of the stairs she was too slow to step out of his way and he brushed against her. It didn't even register to her until he commented on it and she reached over to him, patting him lightly on the arm. "No worries." she said, offering him a smile that couldn't be confused with lust. She found it easy to do. Sudden the air seemed to change around them, the atmosphere in which they stood now tainted with the gut feeling that not only changed her mood, but Alexs. Her hand slid from his arm. Her sense of touch was her only abnormal ability. She could sense power. Energy. And right now, his energy was rather shaken, and stronger than it had been before. Usually such a jump in energy was caused by hostility, fear or anxiety. She chose the latter s suddenly he took her hand and lead her to the limousine.
She was rushed, but managed to keep up, fully understanding that he felt they should hurry. She slid in to the car fluidly, buckling the seat belt that looked as though it had never been used. She was a human after all, and when you got in her car she didn't care who, or what you were, you buckled your seat belt. A rule she lived by, after her father had been killed in a car accident and everything. She leaned forward as he sat down, only to reach to unbuckle her belt but hesitated. "Alex." She stated, picking up on his sense of urgency. "How much faster would it be if we flew?" It wasn't a decision she would have made if it were under other situations, but right now, she tossed all inhibitions away.

"No worries."
Her hand touched his arm and for a moment his skin tingled, he looked back and smiled, he was getting more and more intrigued by this woman every moment he was around her, she was so different from every other woman he had ever been around, and he liked the change, change in this case was good. But there were changes he made in his life that couldnt be undone and took a toll on him and the people he valued. Those people he would never get back, they were either dead or long gone away. He frowned for a moment but smiled as she kept pace with him as he nearly dragged her to his Limo. Unfortunately for him he wasnt exactly thinking about what he was doing so when he entered the vehicle after the woman he bumped his head off the top of the door and sat in a slight daze as he closed the door. Shaking his head and leatting out a heavy sigh he laughed at his own clutziness. "Guess thats why my mother used to say don't think to hard, you might hurt yourself." He knew it really wasnt a time for jokes, but it was something he had to say to lift some of the tension from his shoulders.
"Alex, how much faster would it be if we flew?"
He smiled, "Much shorter, seeing as Im a speed demon in the sky and well.. my butler obeys the law to the tee" Her laughed. Before any other words were exchanged be opened the ceiling window and pulled himself out of it and then lent a hand down to her and pulled her up with a fluid motion. He understood she wanted to get back fast and he would oblige her. His wings spread out and he took to the sky like a rocket. He held the woman tightly against him, and he looked at her, "You may not like this flight as much as the last one.." His wings flapped rapidly and he was going almost as fast as a peregrine falcon. He was flying at such a speed water from clouds that they passed through seemed to fly off his skin and go back into the sky. However there was other reasons why he was holding her so close. The altitude he was flying at made even him slightly chilly, and he didnt want her to get so cold up in the sky.
The black wings steadied and he glided for a moment, giving the large muscles a break from all the flapping and before he knew it he had sprinted back to the place where she had pulled in. But something wasn't right. "Describe your car to me Anastasia." He stated in a rather serious voice, "I never got a good look at it but it seems someone decided to go take it for a joyride." He paused and looked down at her for a moment and his heart somewhat sank, he felt guilty extremely guilty as he dove down and set her upon the ground he said to her "I apologize.. this is my fault... I shouldnt have walked so far away from here and I should have never taken you back to my place for that long. But I'll find your car and make this whole situation up to you." He looked back at her before walking towards the place the black car was parked, and he sighed, good thing its only sunset now, i could still find this car rather easily, black cars are easy to spot in the plethora of other colors." He muttered.
Alex was mad... More at himself than anything else. He was mad at himself for everything. He shouldn't have done what he did, if he had just stayed there he would have never caused this. "Ana, I'll fly low to the street, and you could check by foot or come with me, whichever you prefer."

She gasped silently, mouth dropping open as he cracked his head against the top of the door as he slipped in to the back of the limo. Cringing, she still unbuckled her seat belt, setting each half of the buckle on either side of her along the length of the backseat, shuffling forward on the seat eagerly. However, she could help but laugh at his following comment about it hurting when you think too hard. He had a sense of humor- that was something that Anastasia valued in her acquaintances. If they lacked such a thing, surely they would all feel as though she was the wicked bitch of the west due to all of her sarcastic remarks, and twisted humor, that often could be mistaken for a statement rather than a joke. Some people just had to relax, and not read in to so much of what was going on around them.
His smile in response to her question caused both eyebrows to raise in anxiety. She was about to say, 'then pull this beast over and lets go' but he was already standing, having opened the window above them. She cocked her head to the side, leaning forward to peer up at him when his hand was suddenly there for her. She never hesitated, because it wouldn't have been the first time that she leapt from a moving vehicle, and at least this time the asphault below wouldn't be where she was headed. They would be headed up. And, with that, it seemed they took to the skies in the split second her hand met his. The speed was incredible, and she grinned inwardly, always having been one to relish in such moments. There were often times she wished her car was a convertible, just to have the wind in her hair, but that is what side windows were for. If she ever felt the urge to buy one, she always stuck her face somewhat out the window and just tried to breathe. It wasn't so easy.
When Alex looked down at her, warning her that she may not enjoy this flight as much as the last one, she completely understood. She tilted her head forward, tucking it between his chest and herself and nodded lightly in permission for him to go for it. Rather immediatly, she could feel the cold air beating against her through the leather jacket that she wore. Her hair caught in the lull between them, messily blown in over her shoulders and across her face. She could feel the moisture of the sky dampening the back of her neck, but she remained unmoving, and it seemed that they arrived on the scene in the amount of time it probably would have taken the limo driver to find a parking spot and pull over for them to exit like normal people. Good thing they didn't wait.
Soon the pace slowed, and she could hear his voice, the wind having lessened and the cold diminishing. At first she thought maybe he simply was not sure which car hers was because of too much traffic, but soon her heart sank and she fully understood. Her entire body grew rigid. As her feet touched down on the sidewalk she stumbled backwards from him a bit, having turned too quickly to face where her car had been illegally parked. Her chest rose steadily, her breath catching. She felt like she had just ran the entire distance now that she was so upset. But, it wasn't pure anger just yet. Shock. Looking back to Alex, she was at a loss for words, unable to answer his questions as she stepped toward the black peel of rubber on the sidewalk from where she had skidded so immediatly to a stop. There.. was no car on top of these marks anymore. She looked down at him as if she expected it to just suddenly reappear, her hand grabbing for her gun.. but it was gone. She had left it on the ground from where Alex had disarmed her.
Turning quickly, a panic setting in. Sure, she had 5 blades on her but that could help unless you were in close range. Yet, it was also sort of a good thing, as she didn't want to accidentally shoot up the car. "Black.. a.. 1969 Boss 302, a..Mustang, it is hard to miss. But Alex.." Her breath was coming short, trying to recollect herself and shake off the shock. "This guy is going to be armed. I keep a sawed off shotgun on the passenger seat, and the entire floorboard is full of new shells for the the son of a bitch to get his hands on. And.. that thing is built like a tank. My da---"She was about to say 'her dad' but caught herself, and continued without that piece of information, "Reinforced body, bulletproof glass, and 4" thick bullet proof armoring all the way around. He.. or she.. has the upper hand, Alex. And no- I don't want to wreck the car to get to him. It is.. oddly the most important thing in my life right now, so if you see it, just follow it to wherever it is going. Maybe we can get it after they park it somewhere, I have an extra set of keys."She turned away from him for a second, reaching in to the top of her jacket, unzipping a few inches, and then grabbing the single key from inside of her bra. She smirked, but turned and showed it to him."I used to have a problem with locking my keys in my car, so I got another one cut."

I keep a close watch on this heart of mine I keep my eyes wide open all the time. I keep the ends out for the tie that binds Anger.. Frustration... Helplessness... these were albeit a few things the man was feeling. Alex was angry at himself and at whomever had the gall to steal the car. Alex normally would have gone on his own little rampage across the city, but that was definitely not going to help the situation. He knew the woman was probably upset, and he didn't want to make her anymore upset than she already was. He could feel her emotions, it almost broke his heart the fact he had caused this entire predicament. He WILL do something to make this up to her. That was exactly what he thought, and he looked back at the woman who was in a lot of shock for not seeing her car. His brown eyes closed, whoever dared do this was messing with the wrong woman, and the wrong black angel. The man paced tensely, trying to figure out a way to get the car back.. God, he was so fuming mad he could probably punch through a brick wall. The poor guy walked on the sidewalk until he heard the woman speak, it seemed the shock was wearing off slowly. "Black.. a.. 1969 Boss 302, a..Mustang, it is hard to miss."He nodded and smiled, in spite of the situation, "Thats a mean car, bet it flies down back roads..." He couldn't help it, the image of the kind of car she drove was stuck in his mind. Alex besides music loved cars, in fact when he was a kid he used to be able to name the a cars company, model and year when asked and he could fix them just as well. He looked back at her for a moment and walked over, she was still a bit shocked, "Anastasia, I'll get your car back to you, even if its the last thing I do." He was serious, his eyes were intense and focused, he wanted to make sure that the woman knew she would have her car back "I don't care how long it takes me but I will get it back." Alex though he was low on energy treated this like he would have in Nigeria during the war. The car was a fugitive prisoner he wouldn't let escape, and he would track even if it killed him. The dark skinned male put his hand on her shoulder and softly squeezed it, as if he was trying to reassure her he wasnt going to rest until he found the car. " But Alex.. This guy is going to be armed. I keep a sawed off shotgun on the passenger seat, and the entire floorboard is full of new shells for the the son of a bitch to get his hands on. And.. that thing is built like a tank."He had begun to walk back away from her until she had said that, and he smiled, "I'll find that car even if it does kill me. It's my fault it was stolen and I personally don't care what happens to me as long as I get your car back." his voice was an odd tone of guilt and anger, but the determination on his face was absolutely stunning, the only time he'd ever been determined like this before was when he was tracking a large bull warthog back at his village. Heh but that was when he was ten years old, not now. He was determined to find that car and nothing would stop him, no man, beast, or mother nature could do a thing. Why? Why did he want to go so far for this woman? What made him want to sit here and devote as much time as he needed to finding a car that she made the mistake of keeping unlocked? He was in it for nothing. He didn't want anything in return for finding her car but he gazed down the street and down the alleyway. Hoping to catch a glimpse of a black vehicle. "Reinforced body, bulletproof glass, and 4" thick bullet proof armoring all the way around. He.. or she.. has the upper hand, Alex. And no- I don't want to wreck the car to get to him. It is.. oddly the most important thing in my life right now, so if you see it, just follow it to wherever it is going. Maybe we can get it after they park it somewhere, I have an extra set of keys. I used to have a problem with locking my keys in my car, so I got another one cut."""I wouldn't ever think of damaging a vehicle like that, im not that stupid. However," he murmured, "once we find it, ya think that we could have the guys at the station set up a roadblock, and pop the tires so the idiot cant go anywhere? Besides, I could buy you new tires and install them for you if we need to go that route." It was an easy solution but they had to find the car first, and hers also made sense as well. He laughed when she pulled keys out of her bra, "You women, I'll never understand why you use your bra as a purse" he shook his head and smiled, he couldn't help it, he really wanted to lighten the tension but for once he didn't know exactly how he should do that. The Male paced silently before walking back to her, she was worried, and it was plainly written on her face. His eyes hung low to the ground, his aura dripped of guilt and anger towards himself. He couldn't help it though and the woman beside him probably could understand his logic... hopefully. The sun was setting and he needed to think of something, "Hey, you may need this, It aint as fancy as your gun, but it'll have to do." He handed her a recognizable weapon from when he was back in the days of the gang wars. He looked at her, and he sighed, "Yes, I still have that from way back.Take good care of it" He laughed before removing the jacket that clothed the man to deconceal his own set of weapons. Daggers of all shapes and kinds, and switchblades. Besides he was getting really hot in his sweatshirt, The only thing the man was wearing now was a white tank top and a pair of army green shorts. He looked back, and smiled, "Hopefully I can go about this without the people and fans running after me." With that be began his walk, his weapons were in the many pockets of his cargo shorts and he murmured, "Walk or Fly, its your choice."

What a way to lighten the situation than to speak of her favorite hobby. Anastasia managed a smile, looking up from the peeled rubber that lay in a thick sheet on the sidewalk infront of her, to the man who had just flown her here at the speed of light. "And main streets, too." Grinning, before looking back down and rubbing the thick outer edge of her boot against the rubber, kicking it over on to itself gently. Her mind was elsewhere, trying to use her best knowledge as to hat to look for. Unfortunately, it looks like the rain had washed any any evidence they could have used, such as cigarette ashes if the bastard smoked, or foot prints at all. She bent at the knee, reaching out with her left hand to run her fingers through a puddle where the door would have opened up. Nothing but the distorted reflection of herself, and the demon of her concealed rage behind her dark eyes.
She stood, turning to face him just as he approached. It was not until his hand touched her shoulder that she could sense just how guilty he felt. She frowned visibly, looking up at him as thunder announced its leave in the skies far to the west. The sound made her turn her head. It resembled the growl of the car they were looking for, but it was obvious that it was not. Looking back to him she shook her head. He was taking this far too seriously, stressing himself over something that they couldn't change. Sure, Anastasia would have loved to have met this guy in the act, on a quiet street, to feed him a few kicks to the gut against the brick wall across the sidewalk, but she tried to calm herself. A deep inhale lifted her chest, holding it a moment before allowng it to release in a wisping coil of warm air in to the crisp night. He turned and was about to walk away from her and she diminished the distance by stepping up behind him as he said 'even if it does kill me'. "Alex, this car is not worth anyones life. I want you to know that. You will not let anyone get hurt- and that included yourself." The tone of authority rising in her words.
His question regarding the boys in blue assisting them made her laugh, her hand immediatly moving up to cover her mouth as she tried to silence herself. "To help us? You want me to ask the police to assist me.. in getting my car back? Oh Alex.."She fought to stop laughing. It was rather amusing from her point of view. "Those men would rather assist the thief than me. I am not exactly their favorite person.. and they especially hate that car. If word gets out that it has been stolen, they will do everything in their power to keep it from me." She shook her head, looking back down the street as a car passed through the intersection. A taxi, nothign important, she glanced back at Alex. "And yes, if you can manage to get the tires out, go for it. I need new rubber anyways."
She began to walk up the street to where she had followed Alex in chase earlier, knowing that her 9mm may still be laying along the wall around the corner up ahead. She shook her head when Alex showed her his weapons, meeting his eyes. "Alex, I am a cop. You do realize this, right?"[/b] Raising a brow and turning down his offer of his weapon. "I dropped my pistol up here around the corner, it is small and dark, so I am sure that there is a good chance it hasn't been picked up by anyone. I can just go grab i---" Her words were cut off when a familiar tire squeal screamed through the deep rumble of an engine roaring to life. Taillights up ahead- it seemed the bastards had been in the alley not too far from here, most likely listening in on their conversation. She gasped, and looked back to Alex, eyes wide. "Thats the car!" She shouted, the banshee-like tire squeal echoing down the street was nearly deafening as they shot in to the street and in their direction in a fishtailing sway of the rear end.

"And main streets, too."
He grinned, that thing probably was a beast of a car. He personally wondered how she got ahold of such a beast. But really the only thing he wanted right now was to get the thing back. But it occurred to him that she knew that he wasnt himself and he probably was overreacting in some ways, "Sorry, Im not myself when these things happen.. Thank to.." He trailed off, some of the skeletons in his closet were better left hidden. He hijacked cars when he was young back in Nigeria, even as a child he was a criminal, a person that was forced into a life he should have never lead, but he did. He sighed and he felt helpless, he hated when he felt this way, he wasnt used to this kind of stuff, and he didn't want to run into old "buddies" of his from back in his gang days. He knew the expert carjackers in the city and he held some valuable information, but he wouldn't tell her until he confirmed his suspicions. He had a sneaking feeling about the thief. But it was just a feeling, not a confirmed thing.
"Alex, this car is not worth anyones life. I want you to know that. You will not let anyone get hurt- and that included yourself."
The amount of authority in her voice made him smile, almost in a happy way. That kind of authority wasnt to be messed with and he gave her a grin, "Yes Ma'am" he joked to her. He stretched and sighed thunder growled in the sky a distance away and he groaned, dammit, he wouldn't want to fly now, he could easily get struck by lightning and that would not be really fun. A yawn made itself known as he felt the temperature of the air cooling slightly before he walked around a little bit to keep himself occupied. She mentioned something of the other cops in the city not liking her very much and letting the thief get away instead of helping her recover it and he growled, "Bastards, I knew police people weren't.." he trailed off not really finishing the sentence as he walked around to keep his muscles from falling asleep. When the man was overtired and in a bit of pain from flying he often would walk to keep the muscles stretched. He made the mistake of not walking once and couldn't move the next morning when he woke up.
"Alex, I am a cop. You do realize this, right? I dropped my pistol up here around the corner, it is small and dark, so I am sure that there is a good chance it hasn't been picked up by anyone. I can just go grab i---"
He chuckled, and smiled, then a pair of squealing tires caught his ears, and he winced slightly. "Damn" he muttered but he saw something and heard her say that was the car he looked at it and began to run forward, he had the speed of an angel so why not use it. He needed to confirm something or disprove something so he wasnt keeping information from the policewoman, "Lemme tell you Anastasia, there are a few people i know in the city who would steal a car like yours, back from my gang days i could definitely tell you who they are. But I wont say a word until i confirm it myself." he held his hand out, and smiled after he slowed his run a bit. "I dont think I should leave you behind, so keep up or Lemme carry you." He paused for a moment to see if she wanted the angel to carry her and then continued running. The tail lights fishtailed and obviously that was the kind of driving two members of his old gang would use. He ran closer and closer but couldnt get a clear image of the man. However he could figure out that the male was about 6 feet in height and was extremely muscular...
A Lycan perhaps?

Anastasia grinned when he replied to her comment with a 'yes ma'am'. Lets just hope he didn't get back on her bad side, otherwise sh would have a good excuse to stop him on the street, right infront f the media, and search him for weapons. With a specialty like street violence/crime, it was her duty. But truth be told, it took a lot to get on Anastasia bad side. She already didn't trust anyone, so what else could go wrong? Surely the only think she could think of was breaking in to her new apartment, oh that would just make her day. But Alex wasn't that type of guy, from what she could tell. She had more issues with Vampires than anything else, and it had been a while since her last attack from them as well. Looks like her moving in to this city may have helped her slip under the radar for once.
The screeching tires ground on her nerves. How dare they abuse her car like she does! It was rather disrespectful to say the least. Even though that was exactly how you would see Ana taking to the street, it was different when it was someone else driving, especially if they had no permission to do so! She gritted her teeth behind her lips, starting to pace in the direction the car was. The headlights were off as the car sped toward them, the dim light from the early evening making it slick and stealthy, and thus an easy target for any vehicle that may not be paying close attention to the road. Anastasia had enough.
She stepped out in to the street, ignoring Alex, stance braced as she stood between the car and the rest of the street as it barreled noisily toward her. She spoke, loud and clear, toward Alex as the car approached quickly, still about a black away as it hit a dip in the road and was air borne over the nearest intersection, a squak of the tires as it landed and fishtailed once more. "Any ideas, Alex?" At the moment, she didn't give a shit who they were.. all she cared about is how they were going to stop them.
