Long ago, we did not live side by side the animals...We were the animals. By just a flick of the mask, we could transform, shifting from our two legs to four. From a short face, to a long muzzle. From a bare head, to a great set of miraculous antlers.
On the island of Mosaic, a hidden population of humans still thrive on these mystical lores. At child birth they are granted a powerful mask that grows with them, learns from them, gains scars from physical and emotional battles of its owners. And in return for the ability to grow and learn with the human comes the ability to shapeshift into their animal selves.
Welcome to a world of strange, yet limited magic. We are Mosaic Mask.
The basics of this site come from an old folk-lore of people who could shapeshift with the help of an animal mask. If they had a deer mask, than they could change to a deer. If a wolf mask was in possession, than they may change to wolves. These masks are permanent to the wearer, taking them off could result in death, if the mask isn't located shortly after losing it. These masks are Mosaic residents lives.
We have many clans to offer. 17 in total, including that of the Wolves, horses, ravens, and rabbits, just to name a few. Many of them are still seeking Shamans or Midwives, and a few of them are still seeking leaders.
We are also needing involvement for our upcoming plots.
