The eyes of the Vampire looked around slowly through the golden eyes of his mask. The scents of the various people were overwhelming and he didn't like the fact that he couldn't identify certain people. But he kept his hand in his date's hand as he walked with her towards the dance floor and then he turned towards Ravina. With a smile under his mask, Kayen slipped one hand against hers and his other arm around her waist and then he pulled her closely to his body. As the music reached their ears, he started to sway with her very gently. His voice was soft against her ear, even through his mask "you are truly the most beautiful woman here..."
****** The young Lycan, Aeryn, had arrived a little late to the ball. He was dressed in a pair of black slacks and a very nice black shirt which was buttoned up the front. A pair of black leather shoes covered his feet. He may not have been in expensive clothes like the rest of the people, but he still looked very nice. The black and red half and half mask finished off his outfit nicely. His beautiful blue eyes looked around the building and then he noticed his date waiting for him. With a smile under the edge of his mask, Aeryn stepped towards her slowly. As he got close to her, he spoke softly "Felix?" He had been given her name and she had been given his, because let's face it, neither one of them were well known.

It seemed everyone was hidden behind a mask. This was highly confusing and rather terrifying for her because she did not like the fact that anyone could be here. What of the Lycans? Ravina could smell them in the air from experience and she shuddered against Kayen. She hated those creatures! She brushed off the feeling as he led her to the dance floor and placed his arm around her waist for a dance. She beamed at him, her mask not hiding very much of her face other than the top of her cheeks, amplifying her eyes in a strange way. "Please, you know there are women here that envy me for you," she teased with a kiss to his cheek.
She was being honest with him. Her eyes only followed his form as he led her to the dance floor and pulled her close to him. What was the use in looking at anyone else, truly? Ravina was happy to be with him, more so for the simple fact that he cared. Yes, Ravina knew that he was evil in his own ways, but then again, she was not a saint either. "I believe that we are amongst foul things, my love. I can smell them," she whispered against his chest as they swayed to the music.

Not dance with him? David had to crack an amused grin. That didn't bother him in the slightest, nor did the human comment. This woman wasn't going to cause him any trouble. He felt no threat. Waving a dismissive hand, he turned around. "Good to know, I wouldn't want to trouble myself with a creature such as yourself." He didn't hunt angels, black or white. He was more interested in the types of monsters that massacred and destroyed his family. He doubted if his "surviving" siblings were still alive. Possibly killed by their masters after being used to their limit.
And now he was surrounded by these things. And he had a mind of leaving. He wouldn't get anything out of this. Fighting would be suicide - with the crowded company. He closed his eyes for a moment, crossing his arms. He was calm, but something in him wanted to act out. David had to stay in control of his emotions, otherwise he would make a terrible mistake.
