“Don't be so worried, I'll be fine. 'ave I not proven to be quite sturdy in the past? You may have your doubts, but I don't see it as you do!” with a huff the vampiress would shut her phone, obviously irritated. As a member of this new time, she needed something that would provide a more solid cover when asked what it was she did for a living. The idea struck her however when she was watching the Human Television, she loved it so much she'd find a company that dealt with all forms of media. ZaneCorp had become her main goal now, becoming one of it's many employees would grant her a greater hold into this world, she believed anyway, she had no clue the owner himself was a Vampire. She'd smooth over her dress as she walked, making sure nothing was exposed that shouldn't be.
Her eyes shined brightly in the lobby as she entered, of course she was sure that this place was usually buzzing yet at night there was no one to be seen other then a single receptionist. Clearing her throat, she would smile as she approached slowly, she really had no idea how to go about this so she'd wing it as she went. “'allo, my name is Katia Corvinus and I am here to see Mr. Erif. I'm seeking employment you see..” she trailed off, speaking in her usual heavy Russian accent. Her vampiric eyes would glow softly, however they would not betray her secret just yet. The entire time she'd secretly enact her power of charm, however she was not sure how well it took effect just yet having not recieved much of a reponse. The sound of her phone vibrating in her bag made it clear that James would not give up however on their argument.
“Are you sure you had an appointment miss..?” the receptionist would begin as she inclined her head somewhat. “Corvinus, and I am sure I 'ad one. However if there is a problem I could try maybe another time, hm?” she began as she pouted her lips. The receptionist looked as if she was thinking however, the charmed she'd worked was slowly starting to sink in. Hopefully soon she would be speaking face to face with Mr. Erif, assuming he was in. Tapping a foot lightly the receptionist would press a button and make a call. “If he is in he'll be right down Miss Corvinus.” she spoke in a mono tone voice, sounding as if she was hypnotized. “Thank you! I shall hope he's in..” and with that she would take a seat and wait, hopefully he came down to see her.

As the elevator descended down from the top penthouse floor where the primary office of Lucius Erif was-- he had a few offices throughout the massive tower, usually using various ones for certain types of different business and interactions with different sorts of people. He had just finished on signing some paperwork upstairs to give the go-ahead to release some of ZaneCorp's funds to make an offer on the city's banking institutions when the buzzer on his desk rang, one of his secretaries insisting that he had an appointment. The ancient vampire narrowed his eyes; he had a near-photographic memory, and no recollection of approving an appointment at this time. Perhaps one of his secretaries had scheduled one without his permission first; that was a nuisance.
Now, though, the vampire made his way downstairs, fixing his suit jacket just as the door opened and he glanced out into the lobby, blue eyes falling upon an attractive woman in a quite attractive dress. Perhaps this unexpected meeting would not be as bothersome as he originally feared it would be. As he approached her, he sensed she was a vampire; it was easy for the ancient creature to pick such things out. He was sure that the various scanners around the building had picked up her lack of body heat as well to confirm his suspicions, but he did not require the technology unlike most of his security team.
As he approached her, though, Lucius--one of the most ancient of vampires still in existence--faltered for a brief moment, though not particularly noticeably. The woman in the lobby had a very different aura about her. A very old one. An Elder? My, my, that would be a surprise. Erif walked towards her, smiling as he extended a hand. "Hello, Ms. Corvinus, is it? I am sorry, this appointment must have slipped my mind," said Lucius. "I am Lucius Erif. Pleased to meet you. Come, let us talk in my office." Or, rather, one of them. Lucius motioned for her to follow him through a door down the lobby's hallway, where he offered her another seat before taking one at his desk.

Reading her text messages, she would feel the presence of another enter the room, the presence being slightly overwhelming. Her golden eyes would glance upward, hoping to catch sight of the man who had entered, and as they did she would blink slowly. She had expected some older geezer, a man who was most likely well into his retirement days. Instead she found herself presented with a young, handsome man who had an overpowering aura about him. What was it that made him so.. imposing to her? As he got closer it go worse, making her shift in her seat somewhat until the idea hit her -- he was a Vampire. It didn't make much sense to her, she'd never felt so overwhelmed in the presence of another vampire, what was so different about this male that made it so hard for her to stare directly at him at the moment?
“Yes, you are correct Mr. Erif.” she spoke in a heavy Russian accent as she nodded. She would gladly follow this man to his office, happy that she had gotten a chance to speak with him. She needed this cover more then anything else -- she needed a way to show that she too was -Human- to those who always seemed to inquire about her life and why she never seemed to work. Taking a seat in this room, she was intrigued by all the devices and fancy pannel work that didn't exist when she was a mortal. “Thank you for seeing me sir, I wish to speak to you about employment you see.” she spoke softly with a bright smile. Her golden eyes would -try- to work their charm upon him instinctively, and perhaps he might feel it however she was sure he'd know what was happening immediately, she could feel his age.
“I 'ave not been in this city long, I have come from a very secluded place in Russia you see. I wish to take on a job to impress.. and ZaneCorp seems to be quite an impressive company.” she went on as she realized that perhaps she was ranting or getting a bit ahead of herself on this one. With a giggle she would cover her mouth somewhat and smile. “I am sorry, I get ahead of myself Mr. Erif. I love to talk you see.” she spoke softly as she shook her hair and worked her natural charm now -- her appearance. She was perhaps a very interesting Vampiress, for she could be devastating in the world of PR work when it came to creating an image of covering up mishaps. “I suppose you'll 'ave many questions, no?”

The media and telecommunications magnate relaxed into his chair, his blue orbs watching Katia closely from across his dark-wooded desk. She was certainly quite an interesting creature, Lucius could tell already, only serving to pique his curiosity more into what she was doing seeking employment at ZaneCorp. Not that he was immediately objecting at all; he felt her to be old, and any vampire capable of living so long was bound to have certain skills. Likewise, she was a pretty face and wore revealing clothing, two other things that Lucius was more than happy to have around the workplace when he could.
Then he felt it, whilst looking into the Russian vampire's eyes. A grin formed on the ancient Roman vampire's handsome face as he tilted his head and cast Katia an amused and inquisitive glance. Seduction. Influence. Suggestiveness. It was similar to what his newest slave, Renee, had tried to pull on him not too long ago. Another cute attempt, but the mind of the vampire elder was far too great to fall to such prying. When would these women understand, he thought? Flat-out normal seduction was an easier way to get him to do things than trying to use skills and powers to tilt his thoughts into certain directions.
"Well, ZaneCorp is the premier business in the city, so if you're looking to impress then you have certainly come to the right place," said Lucius, his eyes focused on her with great interest. She had gone on talking quite a bit, but there was still so much he sought to be revealed. She loved to talk and she looked exotically marvelous; already Lucius was thinking where he could put her, but had other thoughts to be addressed first. "So tell me, Ms. Corvinus, what brought you out from Russia to this place? Why is a vampire elder suddenly abandoning her seclusion?" As Lucius dropped the facade of this being a mere business call by addressing her vampirism, his face remained unchanged, that calm and charming grin remaining settled upon it as if nothing had changed.

“I am glad to hear this, I was afraid I had not made the right choice.” she spoke with an innocent tone, however she was always sure of the things she did. He seemed to understand her accent well, many had trouble understanding her words when she spoke so quickly. There however came a smile to his face, his handsome roman features entrancing her in return for her attempts, she loved to figure out where people were descended from by their features. “You look as if you 'ave figured out something funny Mr. Erif wha-” she would begin however the way his eyes appeared showed many secrets that he would have yet to give out. The next few things he would say would cause her to pause for a moment, startled by his upfront nature. And so she would assume he was what she was, by such an obvious call.
A smile graced her lips as she giggled uncontrollably -- so he had been spot on. She had never encountered a Vampire as she was, one so powerful. None of them could even truly guage her true scope or even species it seemed sometimes. “So you've caught me Mr. Erif. Does this mean such a handsome man is also blessed with Immortality?” she questioned with a cute suggestive wink in direction. At this point it was clear she could not sway his actions with her abilities so she would cut the act of using her eyes for more then physical flirting. Crossing her leg over the other one she would close her eyes for a moment, seemingly lost in the thought process. Why had she left Russia? Well the answer was quite simple and hopefully one that satisfied the likings of Mr. Erif.
“Well you see, the food ran dry. Not soo many Lycans in such a frozen, desolate place. Surely you know of the harsh temperatures during the winter, no?” she asked with a smile. The Lycans had literally appeared to go extinct in the territory she had claimed as her own, and now she would hunt in a new playground looking for her fun. From the soft powers of Russia to the concrete jungle of this city, she would have her fun. Life however was not all play, she knew there was much to gain by working for someone with such a mighty influence, and thus she wished to make an alliance with Lucius. “Although I do not know what it means to be called an Elder? Is it unique for one such as myself to be so old? I have not been told much other then what it was I could do.. my maker perished soon after.” she spoke softly, twirling a small strand of hair between her fingers.
“What do you wish to know? I will tell you anything.”

His blue orbs remained focused on her, though did not remain solely on her eyes as her posture changed somewhat, Lucius glancing downwards downwards at her legs for a moment before restoring his gaze to her face. Her choice of dress was certainly quite distracting. Distraction. Yes, that might work. The purpose of the his media was to control information in the city and keep the public distracted from the slave trade and the war between the races. The Russian vampire elder before him was certainly an attractive, distracting individual. That could work.
At her question, a half smile settled onto his face, his gaze diverting down somewhat to his desk, which his hand lightly tapped on. "Yes, I am like you, only older. Though I have yet to determine if immortality is a question or a curse," replied Lucius thoughtfully. It was a constant inner-struggle with him over the centuries to reconcile the benefits of immortality along with the price that it warranted those who enjoyed it. His long history had given him a peculiar, and indeed insightful, view of the world, how it operated, and how his kind best fit into it.
With a nod of his head, Lucius answered his question. He had traveled to every corner of the world in his life and, with his gift of a near-photographic memory, had sampled almost every language the world had to offer as well-- hence his ability to understand her words so clearly. He was fluent in Russian, as he was fluent in some other hundred or so languages. Now, this was entirely more interesting to hear. She was an elder, but had indeed apparently lived in seclusion for so long. He supposed that would account for her survival; most vampires ended up dying because they got caught or just could not keep up with a quickly-changing world. She, living in seclusion, had no reason to keep up with the world. The age of an elder, and the experience of a fledgling. This was going to be fun, he knew.
"Indeed, it is very odd for a vampire to live over five hundred years, let along over one thousand. The average lifespan of our kind is about two centuries; the bulk of vampires are younger than that. Me, I am of the oldest of the elders-- the Ancients," explained Lucius as he looked at her curiously. She preyed on Lycans. That could be problematic for her in a city where the lycans wielded an extensive amount of power. "If you work for me, my sweet, there are rules that must be followed. You become part of something bigger than yourself. Are you willing to do that?" She had lived in solitude for so long; ZaneCorp would be a big step.

“I made that choice long ago, to me it is a gift. I shall be beautiful forever. All powerful and free to do as I please.” she replied to his statement with an air of arrogance, however she was beyond such human and vampiric ego's. She did not care truly one way or the other for the damned life she had within her veins, as long as she did not have to suffer the cruel joke that was merely not existing any longer. “I'd rather be stuck in this world then merely cease to exist you see. I am a selfish being..” she responded watching his eyes as they glanced at her legs. So there was something she could do to peak his interest, or perhaps he was sizing her up for many tasks that could follow being given the job. “Careful Mr. Erif, they say the eyes can betray you.” she purred softly as she leaned forward now, her cleavage more prominent.
Katia pursed her lips however -- the thought of other Immortals being so frail disgusted her in a sense. To her, even in life power had been everything. To share the same blood as those with weaker wills or intellect made her disgusted. “Good, then they all deserve to die. Survival of the fittest as the humans say, no?” she asked as she giggled lightly and shook her head, tossing her hair. She believed his other story however, him being an Ancient and perhaps the oldest. It explained why his presence was so overpowering to her, why the sound of his cursed blood resounded in her ears so loudly when she listened for it. “Mr. Erif, does this mean that you have powers even greater then what I command? I 'ave never come across anything stronger then myself.. ever.” she asked with peaked interest, raising an eyebrow, however she'd soon be distracted onto another subject.
“So does this mean I 'ave a job then, as long as I agree to these.. rules? What are they? I'm sure they cannot be so bad.” she replied calmly as she waited for him to answer her many questions. She was excited to hear this sort of reaction however, excited to talk to another of her own kind who seemingly understood what it was like to wield freakish power that could not even be explained by normal Vampire standards. She would have many talks with this man, perhaps he had seen things that she had only read about. “May I ask where you were born Mr. Erif? Where did it all begin for you?”

Lucius merely smiled politely as she spoke of eternal beauty and all of the other gifts that came with the immortality of the vampires. He had heard such arguments in favor of their power before, and it was often what attracted humans so much to wanting to become immortal. It was the type of thinking that Erif's predecessors not only embraced, but used as an excuse for their prehistoric attempts to enslave the human race and rule over them as the beautiful lords and ladies that they so deserved to be. Living among humanity for nearly two thousand years, Lucius had learned and seen different things and rethought his views on things, but he would not get into such an argument here. There was no need for it.
A grin formed at the edges of his lips once more at her comment. "My eyes never betray anything I do not wish them to, Miss Corvinus," replied the ancient vampire, smirking at her as his blue orbs shifted momentarily to her cleavage when she leant down. It was nice, he determined, before looking back at Katia and winking. He knew well what control he had over himself. The Sin of Lust herself had sat in his office once and tried to arouse him, and he had managed to hold his own-- just barely then, of course. It was a difficult battle of wills that he was close to losing at that time.
Survival of the fittest, yes. That is what vampires believed. When using that, though, they failed to realize the context of the phrase. Humans were capable of evolving, both in thought and in physique. Vampires were not capable of such things. Vampires were more powerful, but not more fit for existence. Though, among vampires themselves, he agreed that the foolish, weak ones deserved to be culled off. "Yes, indeed," replied Lucius, nodding his head. He grinned somewhat as she took an interest in his powers. "Yes, I have many powers at my disposal. Levitation, telekinesis, and empathy among many others," said Lucius. One of those others was his ability to take the powers of vampires whose blood he drank, though this was a rare occurrence and he had not done so in a few centuries. "My greatest power is my mind. I remember everything I come across, which is over eighteen hundred years of knowledge pent up in here." He tapped a finger along the side of his head in reference.
"My rules are simple. My word is unchallenged law within these walls, and I have the final word on things. No member of ZaneCorp may attack another member. Treason is punishable by death or exile. Those are the basics," he said, his eyes focusing on her own. He ran a strict ship at the very basics, but otherwise his employees were given a wide range of freedom to operate as they chose. Such ingenuity was how ZaneCorp had grown to become so powerfully successful. "Me?I was born in Rome during the reign of Marcus Aurelius. I was reborn in Gaul--modern south France--a little over two decades later," said Lucius, his photographic memory remembering the day well.

“Mhm. Your birthplace describes to me well the reason for your smooth manner of speaking. Frenchmen have always had their ways with wording and seeming irresistable.” she giggled softly as she fixed the part of the dress covering her cleavage absent mindedly. The smooth way he spoke did nothing for her as it would for most women, but she did like how calm and composed he seemed. She found it easier to trust and believe him for such a reason, and thus she would more easily be able to accept the rules of his employment. However she knew that there would be a few stipulations of her own, being that she was quite old herself there came a certain degree of stubborn behavior. “I can agree to those terms, however you may grant me slight leniancy when it comes to disagreement. Being I am almost as old as you, you know quite well we can be stubborn and hard to budge.” she spoke with a grin.
“..as for the abilities. As you've most likely noticed by now from the feeling in the back of your mind, I 'ave the power to Charm people.” she spoke softly, making sure that it was clear and in the open between the two of them. Of course she was proud of this ability, however she knew he would keep it a secret or else it would cease to work on those who knew of it. “I must say yours are quite impressive 'owever. I would have never expected one Vampire to be so encompassing.” she spoke with a grin. The thought of how powerful he was excited her somewhat as well, knowing that with a little effort he might possibly be able to snuff out her life as easily as she could do to others. Mm -- the very though of such a thing made her slightly tense and aroused.
“I am sure that I can handle working here quite well Mr. Erif. If you were to hire me, what exactly is it you think I could do for you?” she asked, making the last part seem a little more provacative then she meant it to be. Of course it was in her naturally to be flirty and down right out there, however for once she was trying to shift back into a more serious nature. Sitting back in her chair she would look about slowly. “I suppose there is money involved? You only need pay me half the money you would normally pay someone in the job you give me. I 'ave no real use for money.” she spoke softly as she twirled hair between her fingers once more. Now her mind was on Renee, she wondered just where in this building she could find the little kitty woman.

His silver tongue was an ability he wielded before being turned into a vampire, and something that was only amplified by the seductive powers many vampires held and the immense amount of knowledge at his disposal. Lucius could talk his way out of or in to almost any type of situation and charm people with his pretty and reassuring words. It was one ability that helped him advance so far in his existence, and helped enable him to form the massive corporation whose headquarters they now sat and chatted in. The ancient vampire smiled, nodding his head. Vampire elders tended to be quite problematic when it came to dealing with things, but for the most part those elders of his generation--the Ancients--understood the necessity of rules and what it meant to follow them. Perhaps this Elder would eventually come to understand that as well. "You may disagree all you please. But when it comes down to the wire, my authority within this company cannot be openly challenged," said Lucius. She could disagree with him behind closed doors, but insubordination could not be tolerated. It was not proper for vampires to do so in the face of Ancients in particular, and it was just not safe for Lucius' hold over his company to be publicly challenged by one of his own.
"And, yes, I caught your charm. As for my encompassing abilities, ones like me are few and rare between. Ancients still in existence can probably be counted on your fingers," said Lucius, chuckling some. It was a useful ability, though not in regards to going after his own keen mind. Though he had only listed a handful of powers to her, he had others-- walking in the daylight, his revelatory skills, his ability to shift shapes and invade dreams, and his animal magnetism. Combined with his mind several of these powers also enabled him to keep others from using skills that affected the mind against him. It was usually quite well, though tiresome against particularly troublesome opponents like the black angel of Lust.
He thought for a moment as he stared at the attractive vampiress and her attractive dress, thinking of where she would best fit. With her good looks and charming ways, he had a feeling he knew precisely where she would be able to fit in. Press Secretary was his original idea, making announcements and such, but he figured he would try give her some greater responsibility and put her in charge of the entire wing. "I need a Director of Public Relations. You would be in charge of the public image of ZaneCorp, and our media enterprises and lower-level managers--the head of our news station, our reporters, our editor-in-chief, our magazine sectors, et cetera--would be under your department," said Lucius as he continued to glance her over. Yes, that would do well. "If you do not want money, is there anything else I can give you?"

“I shall respect that then. All concerns I 'ave shall be brought to you behind closed doors.” she spoke softly with a smile. It was a good thing to know that she would be accepted, hot blood or not. As the saying went for the humans she supposed, behind every great man there would be a woman somewhere rolling her eyes at his choices. He ruled with an Iron first however, something that was definitely made trademark by the Roman Emperors. The level of power and control over such a vast organization of people was intoxicating, however she would keep herself in check, she could not sleep with her boss and it would take more then a great act of will for it to even happen. Tilting her head to the side she had much to ponder, a physical gesture she made often when she was doing such a thing.
A giggle escaped her as she nodded -- it was a good thing he was able to catch on so quickly. “Well then, at least you'll know right where to put me.” she spoke softly. However if there had been a certain someone in the room she'd have some sort of opinion on that as well. Still twirling her hair she would keep up with what he said to her about her job. She would handle the management of quite a few people in this company, the responsability being quite great. Luckily however Vampires had the superior ability to learn quickly, so she would easily find herself in control after a few days of trial and error. With a gentle nod she would smile at him with a wide grin. “Thank you very much! My first job ever, to think it took fifteen hundred years to get one. Silly, no?” she asked with a laugh at her own expense.
Then there was the final issue of this meeting, what would he give her in exchange for her services. Being a selfish being, she wanted Renee, however she knew that would never fly and deep down she could not own Renee in such a way. She did however wish to be closer to her, so that she might form some sort of friendship like bond with the Neko. Clearing her throat she would smile brightly having come to a conclusion. “All I simply require is lodging and new clothing.” she said with a nod at her own statement. Two basic neccesities that he could most likely provide for her with the press of a few buttons on his intercom. She was easy to please, hard working, and very good at what she did -- for no cost that was pretty much an amazing deal opposed to what he would end up paying someone else.
“Anything else you would like to know?”

Lucius gave an approving nod when she agreed to the terms. "Good. I am glad we've reached an accord," replied the older vampire. He was, generally, quite a benevolent ruler of his domain, so long as people did not cross the boundaries he set. He could not allow dissension, for he had witnessed many organizations and covens fall apart for such challenges. Allowing open challenges to go unchecked is what undid the Caesars; he would not allow them to undo him. He knew how to run his company, and while constructive criticism and debate was welcome, open defiance was not. But he was happy she agreed to only be defiant behind closed doors; it would ease thigns considerably.
That same charming smile remained one the handsome face of the ancient vampire elder. "Ah, figuring people out and logically deducing things about them is something I excel at. Besides, with your beautiful looks and charming ways, I can think of no where else to put you besides our media wing," said Lucius, winking at her. She would do well there, he believed. A chuckle found its way from his mouth at her next words. "Indeed! Everyone has to do some good old fashioned work eventually," said Lucius. Though having been bred in the Roman aristocracy and living among the aristocracy for a long time, he had always worked in one way or another during his existence. It was just what he was used to. Though his happiest century was one when he just spent his time painting.
"Very well then. You'll receive one of our best apartments in the tower, and have a full wardrobe at your disposal. I'll see that clothing suitable to your tastes is made available," said Lucius, eyes scanning her over once more. If she persisted in wearing dresses like that, she would indeed be an appropriate distraction for the media. He reached towards his computer, typing a few things in to get an apartment set aside for her in the tower. She appeared to be very easy to please, though Lucius always distrusted basic appearances. They were always deceiving. "And if you ever need anything else, just speak to me about it and I'll see to it personally."
As she turned the question to him to see if he was curious about anything else, he paused. Yes, there was much about the woman that he wanted to know. It was not often he found a soul as old as his. Though, it seemed that despite her age and the power that came along with it, as she had lived in seclusion all her life her world view was very similar to the bulk of vampires; that would be a shift from how she and the Ancients saw things. Perhaps it was an opportunity to mentor her? He didn't know, but he did want to learn more about her. "Yes. First thing I would like to know is if you eat meet," said Lucius, reaching for his intercom. He was hungry. "If not I can just have blood made available for you right now, if you'd be kind enough to join me for a bite."

Indeed, the deal had been sealed and thus she would be a ZaneCorp employee now. With a smile she would part her lips slowly and giggle. "Trust me Mr. Erif, the pleasure is all mine. I could not imagine the time I'll have here living in such a beautiful place." she cooed softly as she smiled a wide smile and uncrossed her legs, her panties flashing briefly as she did so. Wearing such revealing clothing came with that, however she would openly stand naked before most having a more wild nature at heart, the clothes were simply a formality for her when it came to everyday business. "I can tell. You had me swooning all interview Mr. Erif, you 'ave a way with words." she spoke with an unfocused sort of tone as if she was thinking of something else. Shaking her head she'd snap out of it and lock eyes with his once more.
"The media wing hm? I can do some real damage as they say you think?" she asked with a raised eyebrow. She felt flattered that he felt she was ready for such an important job right off the bat. She had assumed she'd be put through some tests and trials before she found herself with such a job. "I am flattered that you think highly enough about my skills. I shall make sure it was not in vain that you placed your trust in me Mr. Erif." she spoke softly as she blinked a few times. She was baffled, for the first time in centuries she did not truly know how to respond and this was usually the thing she hated most -- being off guard. Living amongst the wild tundra's, she rarely experianced such a sensation, alot of these things were new to her.
With a smile she'd nod as he went about playing with some machine she had yet to truly understand, but soon enough she would. A smile remained on her face until he finally looked up and asked her to join him. "Meat? We Vampires can eat? I was not aware since I 'ave never felt my old human hunger." she stated with an obviously confused look on her face. No one had told her this, she was indeed afterall a fledgling in an ancients body. "I suppose however I'll stick to blood. But, I prefer to take it from the body myself if you do not mind." she stated with a seductive pur as she batted her lashes. "It is in my nature, I cannot change that. I 'ave noticed that some of you do not feed on the humans.." she stated as she stood slowly. "After you, Mr. Erif."

As Katia shifted and revealed some of what was beneath her dress, Lucius most certainly noticed, though made no remark or overt gesture about it. For his part, when solely within the private of his own chambers, Lucius tended to dress rather relaxed and even walk around in the nude. When doing anything outside of his extreme privacy, however, he was always in the most formal of attire, dressed up in suit and tie. His way of 'dressing down' or 'relaxing' was not wearing a tie or, occasionally, putting on some fashionable jeans of some sort. It was not out of embarrassment of his form or anything like that; he had been born into aristocracy and lived it his whole life, and there was just this sense of propriety about him that when he was doing business he would dress up, and anyone who knew his life knew that it was just about all business and not much else. "Swooning, you say? I thank you for the compliment," replied Lucius.
When she expressed her surprise and thanked him for the position, the ancient vampire elder nodded his head. He made eye contact with her, and the slightest, almost unnoticeable whisper was pushed into her mind. Do not make me regret my decision, it seemed to say. But his handsome face remained friendly with a charming smile upon it. "I am very good at making judgment of people, and I like to go all the way. I think you'll do well, and I am glad you've volunteered for the spot. It will not be an entirely easy task, but I am here to help you get adjusted," said the Roman, smiling still.
At her response to his inquiry about meat, Lucius chuckled lightly. There was much to teach her, but he was certainly up to the task. "Oh, human food cannot offer us any sustenance or use. In fact, most vampires tend to dislike it. Me, though, I still enjoy the taste, and I like to cook. It is what I do to relax if I don't feel like ravishing some pretty maiden in my bed," he said, typing a few things into the console on his desk. He paused momentarily, his blue gaze lifting to meet her eyes at her question. He stood up, straightening his jacket. "Some vampires have... moral scruples about killing the innocent," said Lucius, walking to the other side of his desk towards her. "If fresh blood is your desire, it can be arranged."

Katia would nod and smile, sending a wink his way with a natural instinct to flirt that seemed to know no bounds. He seemed like he would be a fun boss, or at least a fun person to talk to should she not fit into her new job so well. Alot of responsability came with this new positon, however she knew she was up to the task. "Yes, and many more compliments to come if you keep up such charming behavior Mr. Erif. My services might become quite a bit more extensive then what was laid out before me.." she trailed off as she left that one in the air to be deciphered as any so pleased. Tossing her hair, she'd giggle with an innocent smile and tilt her head as she examined him walking. She was just like a beast, always examining the walk and actions of others to determine their intent. Satisfied, she'd roll her eyes for a moment, the phone that wouldn't stop vibrating.
"Hopefully you're as good as you think." she added with a grin as she nudged him softly. His presence still overwhelmed her somewhat, however that was now out of excitment rather then confusion. She would hunt with one of her own kind, an ancient Vampire who truly knew what it took to be one in this day and age. She'd like to believe however that there was something just as flawed and feral as within her, however doubt filled her mind as she seemed somewhat saddened by his every perfect movement. "I'll take all the help I can get. Please don't be afraid to.. extend your generousity whenever you feel it is neccasary." she said with another wink.
Vampires who disliked food -- most likely do to the fact that it reminded them of when they weren't monsters. She'd chuckle softly as she rolled her eyes. "Then they cannot let go of what it is they lost hm? Afraid to be what they were; Human." she added with a soft coo. "The things that make us feel human.. the things that keep us alive." she spoke softly as she curled her arms around one of his own. "It seems that not too many learn that lesson, yet it is common sense. It really must be a.. super power as they say?" she added with a giggle. "It is what I desire, for I too would enjoy ravaging a "Young Maiden" as well. Preferably however it is entertaining as well.." she added thinking about torturing the poor girl first.
"Perhaps we should just go for a stroll?"
