Samantha walked the empty streets of Noctum with no fears. The street she was one was deserted the last vehicle had come cruising down the bend about half an hour ago bouncing to the blasting music the driver had on to keep himself away, and it had seemed to be the last one. The road had been freshly paved about 2 days ago and people had just been able to drive down the road a few hours ago but the pavement smell was still engulfed in the air around the street, along with the sent of some spices and the autumn air. The houses had there lights off and the humans and animals sleep in there beds cuddled happily under there blankets or near their Misha's. The air conditioners buzzed as they rushed cool air in to the rooms for maybe the last time for a while. The air was still warm with the heat of the afternoon and the autumn air had yet to settle and make the weather cool enough to NOT want an air conditioner.
As for the humidity it was high and threatened to send cool water droplets form the sky to the the ground below. There where some bats still out but most had gone to find better placed to get food. With there being little light around all the insects had gone more in to the city where the lights where brighter and more insects where attracted to them. Samantha could hear her footsteps softly hit the sidewalk pavement. She was able to wear her regular uniform while at night but she still preferred to wear what she always wore in front of the humans. Her tattered dark blue jeans fitted to show off her curves while the tight black corset showed even more of her figure. Though she had to say that wearing the corset was something that she hadn't thought would stop her movement in battle but had anyways. It was something she figured would take time getting used to but in all it would help her in the battle field. Samantha took in a deep breath relaxing her tense muscles from the fight she had just finished having with a slave master that had been hunting her down a few blocks down.
The moon shown brightly over her head and acted almost as if it was a sun. Some would misplace it and say that it was a harvest moon cause off it's almost orangish glow but that moon had passed a day or two ago. But Samantha couldn't watch the moon tonight she had things that had to be done and places to go. She looked ahead of her and walked slowly with her figures in her jean pockets while her thumbs hung out. She had been walking all day walking till her feet felt like they would fall off but she didn't care. The last few nights she hadn't been able to sleep much. Her sleep had been rudely awakened the last few nights full of screams from people she cared about and deaths along with missing people that she so cared about and wished who where okey. Several of her "family" members had gone missing and in the search to finding them she had come across no sign, no help, and no peace. Her fellow friends who had been helping her had all died, been murdered, or taken away. There had been no use in her staying around looking for things that never seemed to be there so she had given up. It had been a while since she had stopped her search for her missing sister but the dreams seemed to never go away.
She looked up to find she was where she had wanted to be in order to be by herself with out any people around and also somewhere that was safe to let the butterfly she had caught go. She let the small butterfly rest on her finger tip. The black clashing with the dark purple making the butterfly look sorta like a monarch butterfly except for the purple was orange on monarchs. The wings softly fluttered in her fingerer just brushing over her skin like a babies touch before flying off. She smiled and watched it till it was out of sight before sitting down on the fountains edge. She was more in the middle of the town now where there was a wishing fountain in the middle of a plaza. The buildings where a few feet away from the fountain and there was only about 4 lights around the place, making the scenery looked like a monster would run out at any second. But it only made Samantha chuckle. She looked straight ahead and placed her elbow on her right knee while placing her chin gentle in the palm of her hand.
"Wonder when I'll get caught," she smirked whispering to herself.
