"I have good luck," she said as if she didn't believe her own words. Technically, she did have good luck. She got what she wanted when she wanted it most of the time. She could get anyone to believe anything she was saying. She could steal most things without getting caught, never mind that one little mistake she made. But at the same time, she had bad luck. Twice she had been caught into slavery. She knew not to trust anyone to start with but the two situations in which she was captured just proved the point to her. You couldn't trust anyone. Not even your own family. She couldn't even trust the people she very nearly controlled. What if they broke loose of her control? No, she could barely trust them. Renee knew better. Her little finger traced around the small circle in her pocket as she thought about Hazaar and what she could do to amuse herself with him. She was getting bored with this.
Oh, no. That look. She pulled it back a bit, calming herself and trying to keep herself from seeming too eager. He was getting annoyed, that much was obvious. She would have to take another direction. She wondered if that whiney, sad girl side she could pull off would work on him. She doubted that, though, Hazaar didn't seem like that type of person. There was always something, though. She felt his hand on her head and her ears moved back a bit as if she didn't want him to touch her. She stood still, though, letting her fingers moved up to his arm and tracing small shapes on it gently with her fingernails. Her eyes peered deep into his and she frowned a bit as he spoke. He was here for his monsters. Nasty man. Though, there was something about what he said next that caught her interest. His service? Renee was quite curious. So, he created minions? Kinda like how she made people her minions. Were they alike?
Renee knew that if she could control this man she could also control the things he controlled. She had never done this before but she was quite sure she could have gotten Isis to do as she asked. All she had to do was look for a bit more pity in that woman. He pet her head and scratched her ears which made her purr a little to him. It didn't last long, though, because he continued walking, leaving her standing alone for a moment. She stared after him, still purring slightly and wanting his attention once more. She slowly followed him as if she didn't know if she was still allowed to come along. She was silent so far and he probably wouldn't even know she was following until she spoke out to him. "Can I still come with you?" she asked softly, her voice careful and soft. It was still childish but the cutesy tone was gone and there was only wonder in it for now. What was she going to do?

Hazaar kept on walking, his impassive back to the soft sounding voice. He gave the situation a moment of silence that could seem to drag itself out to someone hanging on every word. He breathed in deeply and tilted his head slightly towards the following creature. He hadn't truly meant to make her feel unwelcome anymore, but he felt that her apparent panic at his actions was on some secret level rather gratifying to hear in the intonation of her voice. He glazed his grey eyes over at her.
"Oh now I never said you couldn't." A small smile of reassurance was given to Renee from over his shoulder, if half hidden in the dark. Half Dead's had an eerie sight in the dark. It wasn't like he could see where he was going, but rather walked with memory. As if his body already knew the way, regardless of how many times he'd been down this road or corridor. Even as he looked over his shoulder to speak with Renee, he managed to maneuver away from rusting wheel chairs rotting in the way and the larger puddles of pooling gutter water.
"I simply find that when people learn anything of my work or nature, they tend to not bother with the rest of formalities and scamper off like frightened, headless bunnies. I'm not exactly a paragon of humanity. " He spoke that word with some spite. It's not that he loathed humans, like he neko mite. But it was more then obvious he held them in great contempt. It was at this moment they finally came upon a set of chained up ward doors. The windows were still there, but shattered beyond translucency. The steel and lock binding the vertical handles together was thick with red oxidization and moss. the damp air of this side of the hospital not having been kind to it over the years. Still, it seemed to remain strong and firm against all who would enter. Above the doors in a broken down scrawl was a half crack sign: "Administration Center"

Well, at least she could continue following him. She walked in silence now, her ears perked forward and listening to anything he could say and also the soft sound of his footsteps. Strange that he seemed to look back at her and still be able to move forward and not fall or run into things. He seemed quite creepy in the dark but it didn't phase her. Renee looked almost like a frightened, confused child as she followed behind this older man. If someone were to see them it could have been a strange sight. An older man with a Neko child following him. They might start thinking things. Children were easily tempted by things such as puppies and candy. Renee could be tempted just as easily with a shiny new thing that caught her attention. Much like the thing she was wanting from Hazaar at the time. Her amber eyes were the most frightening thing about the little neko. She didn't seem very intimidating but that's how she liked it. She wanted people to like her.
"You don't scare me," she muttered, a half lie. Really, he didn't scare her. It was the creatures he could create that frightened her. She didn't want to be around them, to be honest. She wasn't going to run away like other would. Ren wasn't weak, she wasn't afraid. She continued to monitor his emotions as they walked down the hallways. She wondered why he was able to move as though he knew what he was doing. As if he knew where the office was. This silly man. Had he made her think he didn't know the way? Well then. Perhaps she had been tricked. What was it he wanted with her, then? She was already a slave and she figured Lucius wouldn't give her up so easily. If she was kidnapped he would certainly come after her. She was valuable to him, it seemed. No, he wouldn't lose his precious slave. That was a good thing about being a slave, she supposed. Your master wouldn't let others take you away. Well, if they were like Lucius anyway.
Her suspicions were confirmed when they came upon the room they have been searching for. Her amber eyes gleamed as she peered over to Hazaar. "See, you knew where it was. You didn't need me," she said, her voice holding a bit of suspicion. Now she was feeling a bit weary of this man, though she still had that cute little look on her face as she watched him. Her tail still moved behind her, swaying gently. "This is nasty," she hissed softly. She obviously didn't want to touch any of it. She wasn't going to go in first, either. That would be for Hazaar to do. She would watch from where she stood and wait until she knew it was safe in there. What if a dog was in there and it was hungry for cute little kitties? She didn't want to be eaten. She had had enough encounters with those things lately. Renee didn't want to see those things. "I dunno if I want to go in there,"

Hazaar continued to watch his watcher with some form of obvious anticipation. Neko were slowly become something of an interest to him. As the lack of light remained in the darkening corridors, his ghost like eyes lit up almost as much as her's caught whatever light they could. He studied her as they moved through what debris there was to bar progress. The subtle nuance of her movement, the light flicker of her ears and tail. A mental note was give to each point of attention's interest. It was obvious he was giving her the attention she so desired, but as a laboratory specimen rather then a cute kitten in the pet shop window. That fact wouldn't be so pronounced. Nor did Hazaar want it to be. It would have been...creepy. Hazaar had not noticed just how awkward the scene mite have been to outside eyes. Nor would he have thought it completely strange, even considering his true age. This world was stage to far weirder occurrences. His occupation for one.
"That's rather refreshing to hear, my dear." He'd been use to the two stock reactions to his nature, either rage or fear, and had learned to deal with either in turn. But this creature just seemed to be poking her nose around to see what bait she could take, regardless of the bear trap she was investigating. Her nature was a dangerous one. Perhaps not to others, but too reckless to be any good to her health. He assumed it was that same nature that got her that collar, and kept it around her neck. She seemed to independent to be a slave by choice. At least it hadn't stifled her spirit, however rotten to the core it may have been.
He could hear that gain of suspicion in her as those amber eyes glazed over from that age sealed doorway back at him. While it was true he could have found his way by himself eventually, he'd been curious for the company. "Hardly, my dear Ren. You're the way that chose this way. Remember?" He had to point that out, his voice reassuring and calm to defuses whatever panic mite be brewing in the little cat girls mind. His intentions were not malicious, not even malformed. He dug a hand into his coat and, after a moment of rifling, pulled out a small velvet pouch. Pulling on the strings that bound the bundle up, he took from within a smooth bone disc. As he tied back up the pouch and hid it away, the bone shard began to glow in the dark a deep orange as ancient text as illuminated along it's outer edge. The ring of strange runes was a camp fire against the wild night sky, ferocious and red. Hazaar placed the bone disc with gentle easy between the links of the moss molded chains and rust chocked lock. Taking a few steps back to stand beside the neko, he looked at her with a grin. "Ren, you mite wish to cover your ears. This could be rather loud. " Only a moment after saying so, the bone disc grew dim and cold. The internal fire light had died and total darkness returned to the corridor. There was then a sharp explosion of waterlogged wood splinters and broken lock links as the a bone spike burst it's way through the chain, ripping the handles from the door and dropping to the ground with a crash.

Renee's curiousity was what got her the collar. Well, it was really the fact that she was too stubborn to take the job she was offered. That's what got her the collar. She would be rid of it soon, though. Renee was glad to be getting attention whether it was negative or not. Who cared how he saw her? As long as he was watching her and giving her the attention she wanted. Of course, she wouldn't know the difference anyway. He wasn't trying to steal her or anything and she figured she could talk him out of that if she had to. That little manipulative Neko thought quite highly of her ability. She was good at it and she knew it. Again, she didn't reply to his first spoken words. She just listened, one ear turned slightly towards him. Renee had given Hazaar the company he wanted but now she was wondering how much longer he would want her around. She was bored and she didn't really want to go into the room ahead.
There was, though, that curious feeling inside her that made her want to see what was behind it. Also, she wanted to see if he was telling the truth about what he said before. So, naturally, she would end up following him in there. She nodded his head to him though it was somewhat obvious that she didn't believe him. Although, that disappeared when he pulled out the pouch. Her pretty amber eyes grew large and round as she watched him pull something out of it. She reached out a hand as if she wanted it, making grabbing motions. It was obvious he wasn't going to give it to her. It started glowing and that brought about more need from her. She now watched him place it on the door and she took a step forward as if to go take it off of it. He backed up to her and spoke, though and she looked back up to him. "What?" she asked as if she had not heard him correctly.
She took a step back as the light dimmed and she reached up to tug on her ears before covering them with tiny hands. This wouldn't keep her from hearing the loud noise that came forth next, though. Her whole body tensed and she yelped loudly, jumping to Hazaar. She wrapped her tiny arms around the mans leg and dropped to her knees, her eyes on the door. It was quiet now and her tail was poofy. Her ears were back, her eyes wide and her heart pounding. What would Hazaar think of the tiny frightened Neko? She wasn't sure but it was worth a try. She hadn't been quite so frightened by the door, though it was enough to make her hair stand on end and her heart beat a bit faster than normal. It was obvious that she hadn't expected it. "How did you do that?" she asked softly, looking up at him from her spot on his leg. She didn't release him just yet, content with just sitting there and calming down from the fear that had thrown itself on her. After a few minutes, though, she fell back onto her ass and released his leg, peering up at him.

Hazaar had given a smile a the flawless execution of his little experiment. To be truthful, he had not expected it would preform so perfectly as he had planned. Half the time he was thinking it was going to make his task all the more difficult. But the bone growth had detonated in just the right way, following the correct cracks and splintered through the wooden frames like a spear into flesh. He'd given a surprised look when the neko at his side sudden clapped herself against his leg with shock. He look softened to a comforting, is not slightly snide, smile.
A gentle, green nailed hand petted Renee's back eared head; as if to coax her from fear of further sudden displays. The bone spear that had exploding into being was slowly growing thorns across it's length, each one skewer and ripping away the shattered pieces of broken down door as they grew. "It is an art called Decay Crafting. We necromancers can create almost anything from dead or dormant cells. Anything that was once of the body is mine to weave and sculpt."
While he spoke, the bone growth began to subside and retreat, slipping back slowly into the original tiny disc that had held such hidden power. Pieces of door and buckled hinges dropped to the damp floor with metal tings and the dull din of empty wood. He gave a chuckle as she fell over, evidently the effect of the evident had worn away. He leaned down slightly to offer her a gentleman's hand in graceful assistance; the position she was in,Hazaar felt, not becoming of any lady. "Shall we proceed, Miss Ren?"

As his hand moved over her head an ear perked forward to listen for anything else that might come from the little disk. Curious, though still acting as the frightened kitten, she watched. She listened to him speak and she shook her head. Necromancer. That's what he was. Had she figured out what Isis was called? She had never told her. Renee didn't remember if she had, but now she would try hard to remember the name of the race that she had been introduced to. Although, have a somewhat bad memory wouldn't help that matter in the least. It seemed that little disk was something he controlled. It seemed to tear away at the remains of the door and while he was speaking it retreated. She didn't want to touch it for fear of it harming her, so that little itchy feeling she had before was gone now. There was no way in hell she was going to try and steal it.
She was purring a little now, a way to calm herself and also because she was enjoying his petting. He offered her a hand to help her up and she fought off the urge to hit it away. She didn't need his help. But, she still took his hand and stood, taking her place beside him once more. Her fur was settling back down to show she was losing the fear. Her heart was back to normal and her ears perked forward. She tugged on one of them gently, a nervous habit she could not break. "I s'pose," she said softly, leaning forward as she tried to look in. Slowly she inched towards the now open doorway. She was careful not to step on any pieces of wood that would harm her. She knew she was too balanced to trip and impale herself, though. That thought was a comforting one. Of course, if this man happened to trip...well, that wouldn't be her fault, now would it? She giggled softly as she looked at him. "I wanna see," she said childishly, a small whine in her voice. She couldn't fight of the curiousity that was nearly forcing her to enter the room.
