It was not usual in the slightest for Lucius Erif to be off on his own in a place like the Obsidian Forest; he rarely had the time for such excursions, and when he did he often preferred other places around the city. However, he was longing for a walk in a wooded area like this, flashes of memories long since past guiding him to the woods, similar to the type he had been killed in centuries ago, that night Magnus had made him a monster of the night. On the other side of things, he had other reasons than mere sentimentality to be in the woods; more pragmatic ones. He wanted to see if he could learn anything more of the 'woodsmen' vampires that had assaulted a lycan-run slave convoy the other day, and he wanted to see if he could get a snack.
Usually the only mortals around the woods at this hour would be not-so-pure ones. Criminals looking for victims or hiding after committing some crime in the city. Given his moral scruples and his love for humanity, Lucius tended to prey solely on the villains in society, to make himself feel better about the kill. Of course, he had to inherit all of their twisted memories, but that was the penalty to pay to stay well-fed, he supposed.
And so, the ancient vampire slowly made his way through the forest, dressed in jeans, a shirt with his sleeves rolled up and top few buttons unbuttoned, and an overcoat. He was here mostly to clear his thoughts, but sniffed the air occasionally to see if anything interesting was around. One never knew in the Obsidian Forest. As he strolled through, occasional beams of moonlight would break through the trees above and illuminate his pale face. He did not need the moonlight to hike, though; he saw clearly in the dark. The dark was welcoming towards him. It embraced him,a nd he embraced it back fully.

Krystin decided to randomly walk around the forest for the third time in the month, or was it the past two weeks, anyways, they were relatively close visits. She had to get away from her new Master. He only wanted to use her, and she couldn't blame him. She was valuable to Hiro, and he would do anything for her, and she had gotten taken, or well he was the only person smart enough to notice a free slave.
Krystin smiled, at least there was light. Well the moon light. It was dark, but at least the moon brightened it up, so she wasn't that afraid. Well she was still, but not as bad as a pitch black night. Although, she was walking near a spot where the moon shined down and saw someone walk through it. She gasped and accidentally tripped, scraping one of her knees on a rock. She winced when she touched it.
She let out a cry of pain, although it wasn't that loud, surely the person had heard it. It wasn't her fault that she panicked. She didn't like the night, and it made her relatively jumpy. She leaned against the tree, the one that its roots she had tripped over.

The sounds of the forest came from every direction, but did not bother or distract Lucius from his walk. No, what was bothering and distracting him was the growing urge to feed within him, the hunger emanating from his belly. Yes, the billionaire business magnate had plenty of blood at his disposal, but at times the damned yearned for the hunt, to sink fangs into flesh and draw out the blood, and Lucius had been denying himself this for a long time. He did not want to feed on the innocent, but the hunger within him was growing. As an elder he was able to control this hunger for an abnormally long time, but it was now beginning to grow too great to handle. He needed to feed, and began to hope--albeit unwillingly--to stumble across some morsel to get a drink from.
It was as he was walking that he heard a rather unnatural yelp emit from a few trees over. His eyes, closed as he enveloped himself in the serenity of the woods, flashed open, the normally dark blue orbs a very pale color in the moonlight, growing paler as his hunger grew stronger. In a flash, with superhuman speed, he was where Krystin was, gazing down at her curiously.
"Hello there," said Lucius, tilting his head as he reached for an emotional reading of the girl. A White Angel. Of the creatures that roamed the planes of existence, white angels were the ones that Lucius sought the least amount of contact with. Jealous of them, perhaps? He did not know. They were just the one species he did not like to work with. "What is a pretty thing like you doing out here by yourself?"

Krystin heard the person that she saw move very quickly. Soon he was right near her. She looked down at her knee. It was bleeding. She shook her head, this wasn't good. Vampires and other species were drawn to blood, which meant that they would be drawn to her. Well to the two of them, since the man had come over to help her, or so she thought.
"Hello" She said, her voice wasn't soft anymore, it was laced with slight pain. Krystin didn't take to pain well. When she was hurt, she felt the pain no matter how little, for a long time. She had her hand covering the scrape, hoping that it would stop bleeding soon. "I tend to walk here, to get my mind off of things" She said. That and she hated Kayen, and didn't want to be near him.

As Lucius stood beside the White Angel, he could small the blood coming from her. Angelic blood. So warm, so sweet smelling. He was so hungry, having not fed on anything as fresh and warm as she seemed for such a long time. In fact, Lucius had never dared to attempt drinking the blood of a white angel before. He usually avoided them, despising to be in the presence of the Lord's chosen. Of all races, they were the race he held the least amount of tolerance for.
Yet, his hunger was too great to ignore right now. "This isn't a very safe place to walk at this hour, love. Dangerous things about," replied the ancient vampire elder, his eyes a bright pale blue. He took a slight step towards her, closing the gap between her, him, and the tree. "What's your name, love?" He could hear her heartbeat, as if it were ready to leap from her chest to him. Each beat pumping more blood throughout her body. Warm, succulent, sweet blood....

Krystin could tell that there was something wrong with the guy. She didn't know what. She also didn't figure what species he was, she was trying to get the blood to stop instead. She looked down at her leg, the blood had began to run down, and a small drop fell to the forest floor. She then looked up at him, it looked like he was looking at her wound. Assessing the damage? He didn't look like he was. He look more hungry. Then she suddenly realized that he was a vampire. She tried to slid back, away from him, but she was already leaning against the tree. It didn't work.
"I've been here later, and nothing happened" She said softly. She looked back at her injury, the blood was beginning to slow. She then saw him move towards her. "I'm Krystin" She said. She was happy that she was healing relatively fast, because then she wouldn't have to deal with seeing the blood for long. She noticed that the wound was fully healed and that the blood had dried in the cool night air.

Lucius could hear with pristine clarity the blood fall from Krystin's leg down to the forest floor, the splash--however small--resounding loudly in his ears, calling him to lean down and prohibit any more blood from being lost to the earth and wasted in such a manner. The hunger within him grew as his eyes grew paler whilst he looked down at her. He had never tasted the blood of a White Angel before, disdaining to ever be in the presence of such pure, Heaven-loved creatures. He thought their blood to be too pure for his tastes and desires. But, now, he had a hunger that cried to be satiated.
"Krystin. It is a pleasure to meet you," said Lucius, now standing directly in front of the slave and blocking out any escape from her, trapping her between himself and the tree as his eyes glanced up and down her body, noticing with disappointment as he wound healed. Despite the blood no longer running, his hunger had already been piqued. He could not back off. "I am Lucius Erif de Romanus. Perhaps you've heard of me?" said the vampire elder, lifting a finger and lightly running it up the smooth skin of her arm, his eyes shifting from her eyes to her neck. He could almost see the blood pumping through her.

Krystin was rather happy that her wound had healed. Figuring that she was on the disgusting Forest floor, and bleeding near a vampire. The odds weren't good. She was happy that she didn't have to deal with blood seeping out of her leg anymore. She looked up at Erif. He wasn't looking at her, but at her now closed wound. She moved her legs closer to her, making sure that he couldn't see the newly pink scar flesh. "Its nice to meet you too" She said softly.
She hated the look that was in his eyes, but she couldn't change that. She could just sit here and hope that he wouldn't do anything to harm her. She wasn't going to be saved by anyone but herself. She still hated the feeling that she was helpless. "Actually I haven't heard of you, unless your the guy that gives Hiro stuff" She said quietly. She only remembered Hiro talking about some vampire one day, but it wasn't for long. Hiro never liked talking about fighting, or fights when she was around.
Sorry its short

Lucius could feel her nerves a bit as he gazed at her and she shifted to conceal the newly-healed wound from him. It only served to goad him on more as he stepped closer to her, diminishing the space between them to almost zero as he trapped Krystin between the tree and his body. Her comment caused him to pause briefly, though, tilting his head to the side curiously. "Yes, I give Hiro much," murmured Lucius, his finger continuing to brush up and down the black angel's arm. "How do you know the Lycan Lord?"
She had a collar. Perhaps Hiro was her master. That would be interesting. Whatever it was, his powerful mind was trying to get him to back off and leave the girl be. But, his blood lust was growing beyond control, having been ignored and thrust to the back of his mind for far too long now, every beat of Krystin's heart banging like a drum in his mind as his eyes shifted once more to her neck, his head lowering slightly towards it, but not too much-- enough to still stay focused on the rest of her face, for now, but definitely going that direction.
