[/font][/URL]Bay Harbor is a large enough town that it could also be thought of as a small city. They however continue to insist on being called a town. The community is a very close one and that is why events can affect the entire town so drastically. The small-town mentality however gets in the way a lot too.

Trent Richards passed from a rare cancer. It is an event that has changed the face of Bay Harbor, Virginia permanently. In fact no one understood just how much the announcement of Trent having cancer and then subsequently dying from it would affect this town.
Trent Richards' death would bring together a group of friends from high school that hadn't seen eachother as a unit in the five years since they had graduated from Bay Harbor High. They were the first real generation to graduate and leave the small town to do great things. Each one of them, while not rich and famous, have become somewhat successful even at the ages they are at.
However, it wasn't just the schools they got accepted to that spread them out. Their history divided them. Some keep in touch moderately well. But for the most part there are too many painful memories between the group for them to have kept together as a single unit of friends.
Trent's death may not have been in vain. Maybe, just maybe, these distant people can become friends again. Or maybe, the ghosts of the past will tear them further apart.
