Appearance:
Jarrett has dark brown hair that appears slightly lighter in sunlight and darker in shadow, nearly black. His eyes are a lighter shade of brown, with a few golden colored flecks littered through them when he's feeling playful or inspired. His skin is smooth, clear and very lightly tanned. He usually can handle letting his hair get a little long because it only intensifies the curl, when straightened it can appear anywhere from perfectly straight to wavy, depending on the amount of product used. However no amount of work can prevent the curl from returning if it gets wet. Conversely, if he gets a bad hair cut, curly hair is very unforgiving so he only lets those he trusts near his hair.
His lips reflect the same potential for softness that his eyes do, though more often than not he produces a harder edge. He's young and he knows that much of his appeal lies in his innocence, more often than not his own allure or sex appeal is a result of good genetics versus any real knowledge of sex. He's fooled around, but he's never gone all the way. Jarrett is saving himself for something better. His eyes reflect the intelligence he possesses, as they question not only those around him but the world at large.

Only those who truly know him know that it isn't really a joke. He calls it quality time, a meditation on beauty. It would be rare to see him pass a shop window on the street without taking a moment to check himself out. This is true even if he's done so a store or two back. He enjoys being the center of attention and more often than not he feels such admiration is warranted. He knows he's beautiful and as a result he feels justified in his feelings. He doesn't think this a flaw, though others may disagree.
Before he was thrust into the limelight as a fashion model, Jarrett was planning to attend Yale as a scholarship student. He may still attend, but he wants to experience more of life right now while he has the chance. Plus his new lifestyle is affording him celebrity and the chance to experience aspects of life that he may never have before. The paychecks are better than anything he could have earned otherwise so there is that lure as well. He's enjoying meeting the people he meets as well, some of his modeling assignments occur late at night and some of those admirers fascinate him. In fact as soon as he learned about the existence of Vampires, he's wanted to learn more and more about that lifestyle.
Despite his pride and vanity, Jarrett can come across as extremely charismatic. He'll use his looks, his smarts, anything at his disposal to achieve his goals, whatever they may be. This may appear reckless to those wiser but he has a tendency to ignore even good advice until he learns to behave more prudently. Jarrett was born of human parents of average means. He grew up in suburbia unaware of all that life truly had to offer. For him, life was about baseball, basketball, ice cream trucks roaming his neighborhood and of course doing his best in school. He learned early on that his parents preferred him to excel and so he made every attempt to do so. His mother was a school teacher at the local college and his father worked as a builder. When his grades began to show that their son had the potential for more, Jarrett's father gave up on the idea of his son following in his humble footsteps.
By the time he reached high school, Jarrett was taking mostly advanced classes, some at the university level to keep him motivated. He seemed to get bored easily, the only sport he really stuck with was basketball. It became a wanted challenge to become the best at it he could be. The only troublesome aspect of his personality that his mother noticed early on that she wished she could change was his seeming unwillingness to pursue things that he found too difficult or that didn't come naturally. Thankfully, he found most subjects in school easy, with the possible exception of chemistry. He hates it with a passion.
He took his SAT tests the summer before his Senior year in high school. The day turned out to be a very good one for him. After the test he and his friends were at a local mall and he was discovered by a talent scout while eating a gyro. A week later he was in the city taking polaroids and signing with an agency. Life became a whirlwind for him as the modeling assignments began to roll in. For the first time in his life he left the safety of suburbia for the world at large, Paris by night, Milan by day, Rome, London, New York City, these places became second homes. He didn't really mind living out of a suitcase, spending his free time studying as school became something he did on the go.
It was at a night time shoot that he was discovered in another way by a wealthy patron of the client he was being shot for. It was a shoot for their Spring catalogue, his second such job with the company. A man approached him and invited him to walk for a late night fashion show. He wanted to do it as he was immediately intrigued by the man, not to mention attracted. He was not yet old enough to agree to the out of town job without permission but a return of a near perfect SAT score sated his parents and he was allowed to go.
It was during this show that he became aware that much of the audience was pale, with eyes that seemed to bore right through him. One of the other models, a boy near his own age, was frightened, but not Jarrett. If anything the show was one of his bests. He loved the attention. He really ate it up. He heard a rumor backstage that mentioned that one or two of the people watching were Vampires. His response, Good. That means they have good taste, in clothes. Of course he could have well said that he thought they had good taste in him. That is what he meant.
