Born 3/4 blind, Asad thought it was just a mutation, like the rest of the 'disabled' people. However, this was entirely wrong. The way he saw smudges of black, white and grey was not because he was blind, but because he had a power that dominated his vision, changing it to suit it's own nature. While objects and other non living things are like dull smudges on canvas, the living world is full of colors. You see, Asad can see auras like colored smoke, whirling around inside the creature. With these, he can see the emotions and nature of the people around him. Unable to find a name for this power, he calls it 'Angel's Vision'.

Appearance:
Asad stands at a average 5'7", weighing a mere 58kg. This gives him a slim frame, yet makes way for wiry muscles to develop. A pale brown hide covers his body, very little hair growing on it, despite his animal-like features. Grey, tabby colored cat ears are in the place where normal human's ears would be. They often twitched, reflecting the neko's emotions. A matching tail sprouts from the bottom of his spine, reaching to brush the floor with soft, fluffy fur.
Dark maroon markings stain his face, tattoos thanks to his father's superstitions. One side matches the other, supposedly to ward of demons and other foul creatures, according to the boy's paternal parent. These seem to make him otherworldly to a human's eye, what with claws instead of finger and toe nails, clouded eyes and animal features.
Personality:
Despite what one may think about nekos being lazy, cat-like people, Asad is quite the well-spoken creature. What with hanging around slave masters who speak like they're the king of only who knows what country. Having been taught how to read braille from his mother who was born blind, the neko has a passion for books. He especially likes dark novels with vampires and werewolves and other creatures of the night. While he's sure they're far from accurate, the neko quite likes the idea of dark and mysterious creatures roaming around and seducing people.
Having little sight, Asad relies on auras and personality to find other people he's attracted to. This is the reason why he's pansexual. After all, how is he to judge someone because of their gender? It's not like he could see the difference between them. This system is how he decides whether he likes someone. A black, chaotic soul is far less desirable than a blue, bubbly soul.
Because he was separated from his mother at the early age of 10, Asad has learned to become independent. This meant learning how to address masters, how to survive among other slaves, how to cope with emotions that tend to rise up and how look after himself should he have an abusive master. This in itself has turned his own aura to a dull, grey-blue.

History:
Born to a litter of three, Asad was not the only one born with abnormal powers. His brother, Hasum, was born with six digits on each hand and foot, giving him super sensitive touch. Their sister, Fidda, was born deaf, making her body sensitive to different vibrations in the air. A trio of little super heroes, their mother used to say.
Being superstitious, the father marked his children with facial tattoos in hopes of warding off unholy creatures. Of course, they never did work as you'll find out later in Asad's history. Despite the fact Asad couldn't see like everyone else, he lived a fairly normal life.
The three grew up, losing their father soon after their third birthday. Asad's mother was devastated. But she was strong for the children, teaching her youngest how to read braille. While Hasum and Fidda played outdoors in the shining sun, Asad would sit and read with his mother, purring at the delightful tales of knights and princesses.
This continued until a month or so after the triplets had had their tenth birthday. Slave dealers raided their home, killing their blind mother as she tried to protect them. Hasum took control after that, telling his younger siblings to hide. In too much fear to argue, Fidda and Asad did like their brother demanded and hid.
It wasn't minutes before Hasum was captured and they were found, huddling under a bed. Fidda and Asad were separated, as was Hasum. Asad hasn't seen his siblings since that fateful night.
He was given to a harsh woman who liked to keep nekos. She treated Asad no better than a feral cat, locking him in a small cage when he misbehaved. And who could blame the boy? He was frightened and lonely with a strange woman forcing him to do strange things.
Over the years, Asad has been passed from master to master, slowly learning his place as a slave. His current owner, a lycan, seeks to sell him for a pretty penny or two.
