The angel felt a small stirring next to him as his consciousness drifted with blissful lethargy towards wakefulness. He ignored it though, still mired in sleep, and continued to laze away on the bed in the sweet comfort of slumber. It was dark in the room, (which he was used to, as he generally slept in a basement,) but he had no conception of what time it was.
After a few moments, though, a metallic sort of smell drifted his way from the mug of warm blood in Ari's hands. He shifted a bit, rolling onto his side, wings flopping sleepily behind him. There were fingers in his hair-- he smiled through the half-sleep that still held him at her gentle touch. A kiss from his princess woke the sleeping beauty, though his eyes were still somewhat heavy and not-quite-awake as he looked up at her. He didn't seem cognizant of his nakedness for the moment, and smiled up at her, once again rolling onto his back.
"Very well, thank you, my pretty one. How is the morning?" It was a strange sort of question, but perhaps that was the sort of thing to expect from someone like Malachi. He sat up, waking up more and more as the minutes passed. The sheet, which had been pulled up to the man's chest, fell into his lap as he leaned against a pillow and the headboard. A grin colored his face as he studied the little vampire. "Your morning hair is amazing." He chuckled lightly, teasing her somewhat before pulling her in for a more satisfactory kiss. His color seemed a bit better today, if that was possible, he being the type that found it hard to look anything but flawless. Still, being awake for 2 days was hard on anyone, even an angel.

Ari grinned as the angel roused himself, his sleepy eyes falling on her face with his own smile. He'd asked her how the morning was, and she laughed, turning around to check the clock on her bedside table. It read 6:33pm and she turned back around, saying "The morning has come and gone, mio angelo, it's evening time."
She set the mug back down on the bedside table and slipped into the angel's arms, her head against his shoulder and she looked up at him, a smiled pulling back her lips to reveal her pearly teeth. She brushed her hand across the angel's chest and down his tummy, playing with the small tufts of hair that led down to his manhood, a sly grin on her face.
He commented on her hair and she stuck her tongue out at him before he drew her in close for a quite passionate kiss, one that sent her heart into phantasmal flutters. She pushed her mane of hair behind her shoulder, and it flowed along her back in waves, messy but beautiful. She moved her body so that most of her lithe frame was perched on top of the angel. She rested her chin on his chest, occasionally tilting her pale face to scatter soft kisses against his skin.
"There is something I would like to show you, tonight, Chi," she said, a mischievous grin coloring her fair features. She had a wonderful place in mind, but it was a surprise, and it wouldn't do to spoil. So telling him she wanted to take him somewhere was the only information she was planning on giving him. Though, she was curious to see if he would demand any more from her.

"Hmm, time flies when you're having fun." His speech was still lazy and happy as she nestled herself in his arms, running her hands over his chest in a rather divine sort of manner. After a deep kiss, he was feeling quite a bit more awake, especially with her well-loved body now perched atop his. The angel had no desire to keep his hands from tracing over the curve of her back, following the rolling waves of her hips and stomach around with a happy sigh.
He looked down at the woman when she spoke, that up-to-no-good smile on her face. Malachi had to watch her for a moment, taking in her expression again to commit to memory, before responding. "And what would that be?" He lifted a hand to lightly tap the tip of her nose with a playful finger. "I can tell by that face. You're not going to be telling me, are you?" He smiled a knowing smile, which blossomed into a silly grin when his tummy rumbled.
"Ah-- haha. You don't happen to have any regular food in your refridgerator, do you?" A very light blush rose to his cheeks, the pinkish hue quite adorable. No, she probably wouldn't have regular food. She didn't eat it, and seemed to be a fairly private person-- not the type to throw too many dinner parties, anyway.

Ari laughed when he tapped her nose playfully, a flawless smile spreading across her face like wildfire. She buried her head in his chest for a moment, scattering kisses here and there, her hair covering the majority of her face. She shook her head against his chest before she popped her head back up and rested her chin upon her delicate hands, that wry grin of hers coloring her features.
"Clever angelo. I will not tell you anything!" she said dramatically as she scooted her body up to plant a heady kiss on his soft lips, popping up and off the bed in a flash. She was now leaning against the doorway, the slit of the rather short silk robe peeled back to reveal a copious amount of her smooth thigh. He'd asked her if she had anything to eat in her fridge, regular food, that was and she only giggled in response.
She crooked a finger at him, beckoning him to follow her and then disappeared into the kitchen with another flash. Speed was the one trait of her Vampirism that she thoroughly enjoyed and used often. Of course she kept food in the kitchen, after all, she was merely playing the part of a mortal, and to play a part, one needed all the props. She grabbed a thing of bacon and some eggs from the fridge, snatching a loaf of bread from the top of the fridge, she set all the contents down on the counter. She retrieved a frying pan from a cabinet and set to work on frying up the eggs and bacon while the bread toasted.
In about ten minutes the food was finished and she was scooping it all out onto a pretty crystal plate and set it down on the counter just as the angel walked into the room, pants sadly on and buttoned.
She scooted the plate in front of him with a smile, and said, "Buon appetito, bellezza puimata," and folded her arms across her chest.

Malachi grinned through her kiss, inhaling her scent as she neared him. That smell overcame him, as ever, with mixtures of dreamlike reverie and pretty mystery. She was reminding him more of a fairy than a vampire at this point-- especially as she bounced out of his arms and away into the doorframe like so much smoke in the wind. He couldn't help looking when her dressing gown slid over her thigh, but his gaze couldn't linger for long before she was gone again.
Ari had motioned for him to follow her, but as he got up, he realized again that he was naked. Hm...where had his pants gone? He fumbled about for a bit, selecting various bits of clothing. The angel ended up only getting his pants on before the smell of bacon frying wafted to his nose. He took a moment in the bathroom, attempting to get his bed-head of hair back into some semblance of order, before continuing on, following the heavenly scent into the kitchen.
He'd hardly taken ten minutes, and yet when he arrived in the kitchen the vampiress was somehow slipping a full plate of eggs, bacon and toast onto a plate. Chi sat before the plate she nudged in his direction, laughing softly. "Mademoiselle is a fairy." He gave her a sly smile before munching on a piece of bacon with the distinct relish of a man who hasn't eaten in awhile. He took care to pile some of his eggs on his toast before quite gleefully having a bite of that, too. "This is wonderful. How do you know how to cook, not being someone who really eats? And why stock your kitchen with food?"

Ari laughed as the well-built angel inhaled the food she had prepared for him. The smell of the cooked food had her wrinkling her delicate nose just in the slightest, but she was happy to see her angel so pleased at the small gesture.
"I am, by all accounts, an actress. I must play the part to the world of something I am not, non e vero?" she said, taking a small sip of the ruby icor in her coffee mug. It was a strange thing to her, mortal food. She had seen the way people prepared their food, using parts from animals she didn't even want to think about. It was rather disgusting to someone who had been on an all liquid diet for about 400 years.
"I take great care in making sure that my Vampirism is a hidden trait, I act as mortal as I possible can, what with my sun affliction and so forth. That means I have to have all the props." She smiled at him and watched him eat. It was a carnal thing and she found herself rather enjoying the slightly voyeuristic act.
When he'd finished, she took the plate and rinsed it off in the sink, then set it to the side. She filled a cup with water and dropped a bag of chamomile tea into and and stuck it in the microwave, setting the timer for a couple minutes. "I do hope you like chamomile. It is my favorite smell." She walked around the counter and placed a soft kiss on his forehead, encasing the rather largely built angel as best she could in her arms, a delicate smile lining her face.
"I am going to go get ready so you can have your surprise, then. There is sugar in that cabinet, help yourself to whatever you want. La mia casa รจ la tua casa," she untangled her arms from Chi's form and slinked off, a mischievous smile on her lips. Her first stop was the bathroom in which she tamed her mane of chocolate hair, wrapping it up in a loose ponytail, wavy curls abounding. She then walked into her room and slipped out of her red silk robe, her bare body glistening softly in the dimly lit room. She quickly dressed herself in a pretty red top, the front slit nicely to reveal just enough and then slipped on a pair of dark, hip-hugging jeans. A lovely pair of black suede pumps topped it all off and she left the room after plopping a pair of diamond studs in her ears.
She walked back into the living room, a brilliant smile on her face and she regarded the beauteous, shirtless angel with a passion in her eyes. She felt as though she could probably ravage him right there and now for the way he was looking, but she did her best to smother those naughty thoughts. They could wait.

Malachi slowed down eating after the first few initial bites, realizing that he was eating perhaps a bit too fast. He was famished, though, not having eaten in awhile. Hell, he'd gone to the pub last night in order to eat but hadn't quite managed to. Add to that all of the rolling around in bed he'd done with Ari and you got one very hungry angel. Still, he could slow down once there was something in his stomach, Chi mildly embarrassed that he'd been eating so fast to begin with.
"Mmh, excuse me, I haven't eaten in quite some time. Your props are delicious, tzipporet." He smiled at her, his eyes as sweet as ever. He hadn't noticed that she'd been watching him eat, which was lucky as he'd probably be concerned that eating such good food in front of someone who was restricted to one type of food for the past 400 years was rather cruel. Thankfully, though, he didn't realize that she watched, and thus his thoughts wandered instead over all the sorts of odd precautions she must take. Going to buy groceries knowing full well she'd throw them out in a month or so, probably having the most interesting way of acquiring those blood packs of hers...she was quite limitlessly fascinating.
His plate was empty in record time, though, and before the sweet winged man could protest, the quick little vampire had taken his plate and rinsed it in the sink. "Oh, uh-- thank you." He was obviously used to doing the dishes for himself, that much was clear. The angel was beginning to feel bad. She had cooked a breakfast she couldn't eat, watched him gulp down food he said was delicious and then cleaned up after him. And now, she was making him tea...which somehow he was quite sure she knew he loved. Any more of the pampering and the self-sufficient little angel might go quite nuts.
"I think you can read my mind after all, νεράιδα μου. Chamomile is great, thank you." His arms snaked around hers as she embraced him, head turning slightly back to scatter kisses around her ear and down her neck. "You're all the sugar I need." He said softly in response, quite sincere despite the fact that his words were cheesy enough to kill a day care's worth of lactose-intolerant babies. It was the sort of thing you would hear from an angel, though, sickly sweet despite himself, and thoroughly meant as well. The microwave beeped peevishly after she'd left him, though, and he rose from his seat to retrieve the mug of piping hot tea.
The smell was fantastic, but made him sleepy all over again. He leaned back against the counter, long and masculine in his pants only. The cool stone against his lower back sent shivers down his spine, but the tea he gingerly sipped offset it. Malachi had no fantastic powers of hearing, so he couldn't listen in to whatever it was that Ari had gone off to do, but she surprised him by coming back so quickly. His blue-grey eyes flickered up when he heard the click of heels, his eyes unable to miss the sight that was his vampiress. He could taste her sudden desire through the honeyed tea in his mouth, those deep eyes of his connecting with hers to send little lightning bolts of excitement through him.
It was probably a bad idea, but he simply couldn't help but leave the mug on the counter to go sweep the little thing up into a passionate kiss, his arms encircling her to pull her close. And just when it seemed he was reaching the point of no return, one that would have them both delayed for another hour or more, the angel pulled away, a rare sly smile on his face. "Perhaps that can hold you over for just a little while longer. Have you seen my shirt?" He turned away, then, to wander back into her bedroom, racking his brains for where his shirt had landed. Finding it, he emerged from the bedroom, once again (sadly) fully clothed. "So, where are we going?" He was hoping to catch her off guard, to sneak some clue from her when she wasn't paying attention, but somehow he doubted his ruse would work.

Ari was pulled into a kiss that had her nearly panting when the angel's lips left hers, and she narrowed her eyes when he told her that would have to hold her. "You wicked angel, you, to tease me like that!" she said, an over-dramatic expression on her pretty features. She pulled him down for one last kiss before he began the hunt for his shirt, wandering off into her bedroom before he came back moments later, unfortunately, fully dressed. Ari pressed her palms up against his chest with a smile, giving his lips a quick kiss. She scooted the angel's shoes over to him and watched as he stepped into them, impatient to start their little adventure.
"I told you, bellezza puimata, I'm not telling you a thing!" She took his hand and led him out the door, her luscious heels tapping the marble with a resounding echo. They were out of her building in just a few minutes, and Ari led him down the street and into a parking garage that was not too far away. They walked into the cavernous garage and Ari showed the guard the little tag that was on her key chain and he let them through. She kept this car just in case, after all, Ari was always one prone to be prepared for anything. The car she led him to, she was proud of to say the very least. It was the Merecedes Benz S600 E-Guard, and she has got it for a pretty penny indeed. But it was one of her most prized possessions, the car could purr and the little Vampiress loved speed.
She hit the unlock button on her key chain, and moved around to slide gracefully into the drivers seat. It had a touch start, and so, with a foot on the brake, she tapped the button and lavished the sound of the engine purring. She backed out with ease, her preternatural senses much aiding her in her driving reflexes and in a few more moments, they were off, tearing through the streets of Noctum at a rather high speed. A grin was markedly noticeable on Ari's features and she took one hand off the wheel, fingers loping themselves through Chi's.
It wasn't a terribly long drive from her apartment to where she had planned, but was made even less of a drive by her speeding. They got to where she had plotted in under five minutes, and she parked the car on the crest of a hill and turned it off with another tap of her finger. She glanced over to her angel, giving him a smile before she pulled open the door of her car and got out, breathing in the fresh night air with relish.
The hill she had chosen looked out upon almost the entirety of the city, blinking light shining from their vantage point quite beautifully, and the town didn't look quite so menacing from this distance. It was truly beautiful and made even more enjoyable as she wrapped the angel's strong arms around her form.
"This is my favorite place in all of Noctum," she said, closing her eyes for a few moments to soak in the angel's smell. "Nothing seems quite as bad as it may be when I'm up here."

"Me? Wicked? I think my צִפּוֹרָה has me mistaken." He grinned as she pulled him into a second kiss before he wandered off of his shirt. When he returned, it was to yet another kiss before he donned his shoes quickly. A small laugh was his only reply to her resilience to not give him any hint of what was in store for him. She led him to a parking garage; he took a moment to smile at and genially thank the guard-- before following her onward to her car.
It was a beautiful thing, he could see that much, and expensive, but beyond that Malachi knew nothing of cars. They seemed fairly intuitive to drive now, but he'd never driven one since trying (and failing) back in the 20s. Obviously, much had changed in the car world. Chi slid into the seat next to her, gingerly tucking his wings inside before shutting the door. It was clear that the man, larger-than-life as he was, also did not fit well into a car. Still, there was a boyish smile on his face as she started the engine, happy both to be with her and to be in such a new and strange environment. "This is...really something else. Damn, I'm getting old." He laughed lightly, his chuckling as effervescent and honest as ever. When you had been around since the beginning of time, new things were few and far between, and always thrilling.
He couldn't help one hand from latching rather tightly onto a handle in the door as she sped off through the city, grinning and mildly terrified despite himself. It was like flying, but low and fast-- like flying in the belly of a panther, maybe, but much more...comfortable. The elder angel's other hand found the vampiresses', trying not to squeeze too hard and give away the fact that he was afraid. It was like flying...only it was someone else flying. In a machine. On the ground. With obstacles. And so-- thrilling, to Malachi, but still frightening. He glanced over at Araceli's face for a moment, taking in the predatory glimmer that the speed brought out in her eyes. The angel's thumb skimmed over her knuckles fondly before his gaze turned to once more keep an eye on the things outside.
He was fairly sure he loved it, despite himself, and his face was a huge, silly grin. It wasn't even ten minutes, though, before they were at their destination. Chi opened the door and a wing shot out before the rest of him followed, the hand that had been clenched on the doorhandle now resting in his pocket. He yawned, a symptom of having been mildly breathless in the car, before inhaling deeply as Ari did. The angel walked around the back of the car, taking the vampire into his arms from behind as he looked out over her head at the view. "The city seems so peaceful from here...amazing." The side of his face, which was nuzzled up to hers, pressed into her hair for a moment, a happy smile on the angel's face. "If only."
