Giselle jumped at the voices, nearly knocking over her chair. She looked to Dirk, a panic easily seen, though it was soon surpressed. However, he was already up and about, and Giselle was moving swiftly through the apartment to get Siris. He was already moving as well, getting ready. Giselle's face paled as she spotted the knives, turning from him to the door, whispering in an angry hury of words. "What the fuck did you do this time? Goddammit, if I had known this, I wouldn't have ever stayed here!" she said furiously, glaring at Siris, wanting to hit him. And, in general, she was a very peaceful and kindhearted person. As the gun was handed to her, Giselle cautiously took it.
This triggered memories, of being captured. Gangs and guns were a common element in her old life. However, she was either behind the men with the guns, or the one being shot at. Never had she had the chance to really use a gun, and this, Giselle figured, wasn't a good time to. She nodded vaguely, looking to Siris. "If we do make it out of here alive, I'm personally going to make sure that you aren't found again!" she hissed to Sirirs, the gun held tight by the woman. She had her finger on the trigger, and though her body was shaking slightly, Giselle was all in all, fine. For now, at least.

Dirk would have agreed with Giselle about making sure Siris was never found again when something heavy struck the door, nearly popping out one of the locks. Dirk threw all his weight against the door as it was struck again, this time the door visibly shook on its hinges. ”So wuts the plan man?” Dirk grunted as the door was hit yet again. ”Plan? We gets the fuck out of here that’s what. Call Trega tell her ta meet us at the peir. Head out the back window, Ah gots a surprise for these bums.” Siris said with a mischievous grin despite the situation. Usually when Siris said the word “Surprise” he usually meant “Something not healthy for the bad guys”
”I am already on my way, do as the Green-assassin-thief says and get out of there NOW!” Not needing a second bidding Dirk quickly swept up his bag from the floor and took Giselle into the back room. Checking to make sure the coast was clear, Dirk let his bag fall to the ground first, and looked at Giselle. “I won’t let anything happen to you… I promise.” His voice and face both said that he was dead serious on that. Without another word he squeezed out the window and landed on the street below, catching Giselle when she jumped after. Soon after Siris joined them and together the three of them stole off into the night, Siris kept watch over their backs as Dirk took the lead. Avoiding streetlights when they could, zig-zagging through alleyways, Siris knew most of the city like the back of his hand, it wasn’t long before the soft sound of water came to them and the reflection of the moon off the surface greeted the fleeing trio. However the sight feeling of glee was cut short by bullets whizzing over their heads and striking the wall of the nearest building, there was no sound of fire, they must be using silenced weapons, which gives them horrible accuracy and punch at long ranges. Siris’ however weren’t as he let out a burst of fire, catching one of the men in the leg and dropping him. ”Go, go! Find sum cover! Ah got yer backs!”
Dirk let out a hail of bullets at their pursuers, which now seemed to spawn from everywhere, just who exactly did Siris piss off? Whizzing bullets broke dirk’s mind as they flew over top their heads again. He let off another burst of fire as they arrived at the pier, emptying his clip at the enemy before diving behind some crates. Reloading his gun, Dirk peeked out around the corner and Saw Siris sprinting for them. Poking the gun out around the crate he covered Siris until he made it to them. Bounding over the crate in a single jump, he landed on his ass in the process of reloading. ”Whew, yew’d think the whole mob is after meh. How far off is Trega?”
”Not Far” “Not far. Are you gonna catch me this time? ”You should be asking if I am going to catch the Girl”

She didn't question the theif, slipping into the far room with Dirk. As he told her, as the man promised her that he wouldn't let anything happen to her, Giselle looked away. That hadn't been the first time she had been promised such things, and Giselle had only a slight intention of believing the man. "You had better," she whispered, looking back up to him. "I trust you." From there, Dirk went out the window first, before the woman second. Slipping through the shadows, again Giselle felt like a prisoner, confined to this small space. "Jesus, Dirk, what did he do this time?" she asked while they waited for Siris to join the two, before continuing onward to the pier. Her panic levels not as high as they had been before, Giselle felt as though she were merely watching this whole scene unfold, this chase, as though she were a stranger in her own skin, watching from above, like a show. Though Dirk shot with more fire than what Giselle assumed was accurancy, she was aiming for the arms and legs - they weren't fatal, but simply progress-stopping, which was what she preferred over killing.
Cursing reigned from her mouth in a flurry that she had never uttered before, most of them something uncomprehensible. "Dammit! What the fuck? I'm going to..!" was what most of them sounded like to the untrained ear. As they reached the saftey of the crates, she wondered how long this small shelter would hold up. As Siris joined them, she shot the man a nastey glare, before rolling her eyes. No, this would take a miracle, she was sure. Personally, Giselle would rather die than be returned to slavery, but now was not the best time to reveal such. "So what the hell did you do to them?" Giselle asked Siris, arms crossed infront of her chest with a huff. Her jeans that were once brand new were now slightly tattered and dirty, the tank-top as well.

Siris had taken the whole situation very casually, as if having his day end in a bloody shoot out was a regular thing to him. Fully reloading, the thief blindly fired over his crate, rewarded with the pained grunt of someone being shot. Peeking out for a split second, Siris took note of the positions of the gang before several different guns blasted his crate at once. “Well…” He began to answer Giselle as he unhooked a can-shaped grenade from his belt. “This could either be the mob that Ah stole a nice chunk of change from. Or the gang that had hired me ta kill a man, but instead ah helped him out of the city. Mind yer eyes” Siris twisted the top of the grenade and flung it over his crate. There was a loud bang and a bright flash of light, followed by the groans of many men who were blinded by the flash. “Now!” Siris hissed and stepped around the crate, shooting several short 4-round bursts, while Dirk had resorted to his magnum. Together the two had managed to either wound, or kill at least eight of their pursuers, but they were still heavily out numbered 5 to 1.
’Don’t you have anything more lethal?’ Dirk asked. ”Ah dun’t do lethal remember!” Siris answered as he fired the SMG, there was a loud click as the gun jammed up. “Shit!” Siris yelled before pulling out another .45 .
Out of the corner of his eye, Dirk noticed something flying low along the sky, very fast too. There was a bright flash of flame, illuminating the ruby colored body of Trega as she flew lower and lower towards the water. ’Looks like tis your cue ta exit. If Ah dun’t get another chance, Ah managed to find you another one.’ Siris said as he slipped a very small brown package into Dirk’s pocket.
”Now gowan, git outta here. And dun’t yew let anything happen to this pretty lady!” Siris said before rolling out from behind his crate, shooting down two more men before dashing off away from Dirk and Giselle shouting. “EY! YA CANNE HIT ME!” Distracting the men from shooting at the two and opening a window for them to escape.
Dirk looked back up at the sky and the quickly approaching dragon, some of the attackers had started taking pot-shots at her. Dirk fired a few shots of his own, catching one in the shoulder, the powerful force of Dirk’s magnum spun the man several times before he hit the ground. ”We’re gonna get out of here Giselle, but you have to trust me.” He said, holding out his free hand to the woman.

(( I had typed a post before, and then my internet crashed before I could finish it. Thus, this one will suck.))
Giselle had looked to the man, feeling for Siris. For all of the trouble he had brought her, he also had a big heart, one big enough to match his ego. But the woman nodded, sighing in exasperation. She rose and fired a couple of shots off the top of the crate, before recovering and ducking back behind it. She grabbed the gun from his hands, the one that he had jammed. Somehow managing to unjam the weapon, she now possessed two guns, and it was made obvious that Giselle wasn't going to let either of them go without a fight. Getting off some more shots, the woman looked to Siris, before closing her eyes as the grenade went off. She didn't open them until she had felt and heard it go off, just to be sure. She glanced to Dirk at his question, and for what it was worth, Giselle agreed with him. Something with a killing power would have been better in this sort of a situation.
As well, the fact that this crate was holding up for so long meant that there had to be something inside to absorb the bullets. The wood on their side had no splintered in the least, and for that she was grateful. Giselle sighed, before giving the thief a look that simply said 'Are you fucking crazy?!' Though she didn't voice her thoughts out loud, the fact that escape was near was close to comforting, if her fear didn't get the better of them. Sooner or later, the bullets would run out. Sooner or later, the crate would crack and splinter, would open up and reveal the trio to whoever the hell was shooting at them. The longer escape was delayed, the more of a chance they had of being shot, lethal or otherwise.
Dirk told her to trust him, for another time today. Her green eyes focused on his face, and then flickered to his hand. Though Giselle wanted to trust him, wanted to stay safe, she knew that it wouldn't last. The only reason, she decided in her mind, that she id go with him up to this point was because they were now victims of circumstance. The woman held his gaze, before she nodded. "Don't get me killed," she said, quiet and serious. "I won't forgive you if I die because you dropped me or used me as a shield." Giselle placed her hand in his, wrapping her fingers around the side of his palm, her grip secure and unrelenting. "Let's get out of here, and then bail out Siris."

((Don't you hate it when that happens. That's why I make up all my posts on Word cause Firefox likes to crash when I'm posting.))
'I won't fail her... I won't fail her...'[/i] Dirk kept repeating those words in his head. He watched as Siris made his way further and further away, luring all but three of the men away from Dirk and Giselle, Trega was nearly on top of them. It was now or never Dirk thought to himself, it was time for them to fly or be caught, and Dirk was no man's slave. Taking one final peek at the men that still remained, they were more distracted by the flying object across the water. Dirk stepped out and fired several times, hitting one man and causing the other two to duck in cover. ”RUN!” Dirk yelled, taking his chances for what they were, pushing Giselle in front of him as they sprinted down the wooden pier. Bullets nipped at their ankles, the edge came closer and closer. Dirk grasped Giselle’s hand tightly as white hot pain appeared in his shoulder when a bullet ripped through it at the last second before yelling “JUMP!” and the two leapt off the pier. The world seemed to slow down to Dirk as they soared through the air, the dragon passing right before them. Dirk made sure that Giselle landed squarely onto Trega’s back, losing his own momentum the warrior simply slammed into the dragon’s side and now dangled from the leather sheath of his claymore strapped to the dragons side, getting battered by the flapping wings of Trega as she began to gain altitude.
There was an audible groan from the stunted dragon as the two landed on her back, with bullets piercing her rear. Dirk alone was almost more than what Trega could carry while being loaded down with supplies, and Dirk’s claymore, and the fact that he now hung from her side while Giselle was folded over her back did not help her balance. ”Get up you stupid git before I knock you off with my wing!”
It was easier said than done when one arm just had been shot and hung useless at his side, and the other was wrapped around one of the straps and gripping a gun. However, Dirk had been in similar situations before and this was only slightly different. Hooking his foot into, moaning as he reached painfully for Trega’s neck spike and pulled himself up so that he lay across Trega’s back. Stuffing his gun away, Dirk rolled himself over so that he could bring his leg over the side and pull himself into the saddle properly. Once he was securely sitting, Dirk would help Giselle get upright. It was a tight fit into the saddle, and the two would likely be touching each other a bit more than what the other wanted, espically Giselle since Dirk had to wrap his arms around her to grip Trega’s neck spike. ”Are you okay” Dirk said over the rush of wind blowing by them.

The woman had jumped and ran when she had been told. She vowed to herself that if she died here, she would be sure to come and haunt this man. If Dirk had saved her from one death, only to give her into the hands of another, she was very unlikey to forgive the guy. Landing squarely on the creature's back, she let herself smile before the girl realized Dirk was only hanging there. The ride was shakey, unstable, and she reached for him. Giselle was afraid of falling off, but she supposed that righting herself first would help. Despite this, Giselle reminded herself that these heights were nothing, they weren't like those -
Oh. Yes they were, she mused to herself, before the panic and more fear hit her, stilling her body as it coursed through her veins. She had enough of this, though the fact that she could plummet to her death didn't help at all. As Dirk managed to get up, she was then seated comfortably in the saddle with him, the smell of blood hitting her human nose. Despite how weak it was, the fact that they were so close to each other allowed it to waft through the air to her. At his question, she nodded numbly. Once you weren't afraid to look down, afraid to fall off, things were easier. And, if they hadn't been shot at moments before, it would have been almost pretty, in a way. As Dirk pressed against her in more places than one, Giselle couldn't help but feel uncomfortable again. She had no desire to be touched at all, and she swuirmed, before realizing that it only made things worse.
"I'm fine, she said, before repeating herself louder, knowing the Dirk wouldn't have been able to hear her the first time. Giselle didn't turn to look at him, but simply shut her eyes, knowing that if she looked down, or anywhere again, she would panic worse. "But you're hurt, we need to get you to a doctor."

"I'll live" Dirk grunted, when it came to wounds, he tended to shrug it off until things settles down. He looked down to see Siris hurtling himself into the water, holding his breath as the mobsters examined the spot where Siris had disappeared. Unknowingly, they would miss the thief reappearing a few piers down, slipping out of the water and creeping into the darkness, only to appear on the roof of a building, giving a slight wave to Dirk and Giselle as they passed overhead. ”So will Siris I guess… Dirk added before Trega took a sharp incline, the city became nothing by a twinkle of lights far below. They were almost high enough to touch the clouds, Trega leveled out her wings and began to glide, the ride became much smoother and Dirk eased up and relaxed, despite the throbbing pain his shoulder.
Glancing back at the city quickly dropping off into the distance, at the danger that was now far behind them, he cracked a smile. Raising his good arm into the air Dirk let out a loud whoop, followed by a fierce roar from Trega before she let off a streak of fire that passed harmlessly over their heads, the most the two felt was an intense wave of heat for a moment. ”Yee haw! Eat our dust ya bums!”
((I've got something else planned if you haven't.))

(( Nothing at all - what do you have up your sleeve? ))
Once they rose above the dangers of the streets and Giselle couldn't see or judge their distance from the ground, the small woman sighed, resting her body, letting it become less tense as they soared up and above the clouds. Giselle frowned, however, at Dirk's words, though his optimism did make her smile. "Dirk, don't give me any of that. You need to get that wound checked out, and soon. I personally don't like the idea of infection setting into your arm," she said over the rush of air, her smaller form pressed tightly against his, though Giselle didn't turn her head to speak with the man. All in all, once you got past the fact that they could plummet to their death at any moment, Giselle found this peaceful, had she also forgotten the events that had transpired only a few minutes ago. Her heart was still pounding in her chest, but it was soon settling down.
The woman laughed with his loud whoop, though her arms had apprent goosebumps. The woman, had she known they would have been fleeing, would have grabbed warmer clothes. She smiled still, though it was beginning to slowly fade away. She tipped er head slightly to speak to the man again, asking him a question this time. "Where are we going?" Her hair was tied in a ponytail, and one of her hands snagged the end of it so that the brunette strands wouldn't whip at the man's face and chest.

((More danger And a glimpse of my oldest character I guess. I thought of bringing him to Freedamed, but I didn't want to break him down and rebuild, and he would be really really old... But the worst would be the time paradox!)) Dirk was glad Giselle couldn't see him smile at her worry for his well being, shouldn't it have been the other way around, he thought. He slowly reached into the pouch on the saddle's side, careful not to shuffle about to much as to make Giselle more nervous. Taking out a roll of bandages Dirk would unroll it, ripping off what he wanted, replacing the extra safely back in the pouch. Balling the bandage up, Dirk gently stuffed it under his shirt where he had been shot, groaning as the clean bandages made contact with the wound. ”Honest, I’m fine, I’ll worry about it once we land somewhere safe.” He said. ”And that’s a very good question” Dirk added afterwards, more or less directed at Trega. ”Where ever the winds may take us… but preferably far, far, far away from the city” Trega said, and Dirk would reply for her as to not leave Giselle out of the loop. ”Trega wants to be far away from the city, but she has no idea either.”He noticed the Goosebumps on Giselle’s arms and frowned, Siris was mindful enough to had packed warm clothes for them both, however they were trapped in his backpack for the time being, however Dirk had another idea. ”In that pouch next to your leg, I think my cloak is folded up in there, you can use that to keep warm. I forgot how could it can be up here at night.”((You can make the end post, I’m gonna work on the start of the next one.))

(( I love how prepared you are. I love yah! )) The female human nodded to the man's answer, which was actually from Trega. The woman sighed softly again, though upon hearing his groan of pain, tried not to move too much, lest she cause the man more injury or in general, pain. Giselle bent to retrieve the cloak, remebering how warm it had been. Tough it was large enough to cover them both, the woman threw it over herself, for now. She remained like that for a while, before generating enough body heat to share with the man, still not letting go of her hold on the saddle. She was afraid still, and that much was certain in her eyes and the manner she moved. One hand on the sadle, otther holding the cloak together, she asked Dirk, "Do you want some? I'm willing to share, you must be cold too." She let him see the smile that graced her frigid lips, before twisting her body the right way it was supposed to be, looking ahead at whatever awaited them. Though the woman hated to admit it, she was tired. Not only tired from the run for their lives before, she was still just as malnourished, if slightly better. There was a lot of work and healing Giselle needed to get done before anything else could allow her to progress.
