There are five boundaries in the land of Black Velvet: West, North, East, South, and Sky. At the boundaries are portals that cause a few humans to cross over form our world. The Portals are guarded above all else and every human who passes through is registered and given aid to start a new life. Even Outsiders come to the small divided world. But of later, they are coming in more often and silently. Some think that there is an invasion coming in from the outside. Others believe that the outside world is dying. Whatever the answer is, the world of Black Velvet will never be the same.
