Ril tried to block out the sound around him. He knew no one had heard him shout - or listened to his words even if they heard him scream. His hands were clutched over his ears, nails digging into his head through frustration with himself. Ril couldn't get himself to move and save Li. He was too weak willed and just far too weak in general to fend off any kind of beast, let alone a Lycan.
When he felt Cero grab his arm, he jerked away and lifted his head, eyes opened once more to stare dazedly at the boy. He didn't want any of this - why couldn't things just work out peaceably anymore? He hadn't necessarily pulled away from the boy's grasp, but he wasn't going anywhere either. "I'm not leaving," Ril finally said, shocked by his own voice - it sounding so faint, so broken. "I won't leave him..."

He didn't relax his grip at all, lips turned downward in slight annoyance. His eyes said it all, annoyed and worried. This vampire wouldn't last two seconds in a fight. Cero felt pity for the vampire. Ril looked so lonely, so afraid at the same time. . .
He scibbled something down once more, tugging him away just a bit, taking a good look at Anari, his eyes conveying that he wouldn't leave Ril unless he was sure that he would be alright. The paper said, 'Li can fend for himself, though they both seem too hotheaded to settle it with words. Just get away for a bit so you won't get caught in the crossfire, alright? Please?'
