Renee was excited as she entered the graveyard. A girl she had met over at a club had said she could try and teach Renee telekinesis, which was the reason she was here. The graveyard really was a slightly spooky place, just like she had stated earlier. It seemed dark and gray. It was old, probably never used either. Renee didn't seem to fit in here at all. She was dancing between tombstones, humming softly and sometimes jumping over them. She wasn't frightened by the things that could be lurking here. Being so small, she didn't look much like a threat. But getting her angry only made her more determined to use people for her own needs. She wouldn't let any big, bad bullies make her look like a fool. She would throw Leona in before even thinking about getting into it.
She twirled around, turning her eyes to see if Leona was behind her. "Spooky, spooky, graveyard!" she sang. "Leoooonnnnaaaaa" she added, still singing it. "Looky, looky" she said, pointing to a large tombstone. She stood beside it, so tiny compared to it. It was several feet above her head, making her look even smaller. She jumped, trying to touch the top. She couldn't quite reach, if she jumped higher, her fingers could touch. "Touched it, touched it!" she giggled. She started looking around for something she could take. She hadn't taken anything from the club, having been totally distracted by going to the Graveyard. "I like pretty things, see anything pretty?" she asked Leona, eyeing her carefully. Technically it wouldn't be stealing, seeing as this stuff didn't belong to anyone. 'Does it really not belong to anyone?' she wondered. She shrugged. "You should see all the cool stuff I have," she said. She had thought carefully about what she was saying here. Leona didn't have to know that Renee had stolen all the stuff she had. Renee had no intentions of showing the woman, either.

She regarded Renee carefully, with a knowing smirk on her face. All the stuff she had? The Neko's life would pass in the bink of an eye to Leona, but that mattered little. . . Ah, it seemed she earned some confidence. Perhaps Leona would break that later. It was an intriguing thought, and it made her grin seem all the more crueller.
The two women were playing a game, both plotting against each other, the loser completely getting everything destroyed. It was simple, no rules at all, really, more or less an unspoken contract. "I see nothing worthy of notice yet," Leona said, strolling amongst the tombstones, enjoying it here.
"And what might you have, Ren? Anything that catches the eye?" It was childish really, but that didn't stop her. "ooh, look!" She bent down near a smaller gravestone, looking at it, able to read it in the dark. "Oh, only a year of life. . . how sad," she commented mockingly, pulling up, turning to find Renee. "Shall we get started, then? Or do you wish to look around a bit more?" A plan was already forming in her mind. This Neko would be in the Underground slave markets before the night ended.

Renee pretended to not notice the way Leona was smiling at her. As for the game the two were playing, Renee was quite sure she would win it. Leona would be her little minion before long. She felt as though she was getting somewhere with her. "Yea? That's too bad. I don't see anything either, Leona," she said sadly, pouting a little. 'Poor me. Oh poor little Renee. She can't find anything pretty for her collection at home,' Renee thought, laughing a bit. Her eyes moved over everything and she sighed. "It's quiet here. I like it better than the clubs," she said, figuring Leona would have known that already. "It's kinda sad, you know?" she said softly, a sad tone in her voice. It vanished after a second and she danced around again. Her own emotions were quite confusing, really.
"Yes, I have some things that 'catches the eye' as you say," she admitted. 'Yes indeed. That beautiful crystal skull,' Renee remembered. "Lots of weapons," she said. "Nothing fancy, I guess. I'm not rich, you know," she laughed. "Poor person, Leona. Isn't that sad? That's so terrible," she said, tears seeming to fill her eyes. She took a shaky breath, smiling inside. She was talking a lot here and hoped maybe it would help out. "Doesn't it make you wonder? How they died..Or what they did when they were alive?" she asked, her voice barely audible. She went quiet then, nodding when Leona asked if they should get started. She seemed so sad now, as if thinking about the poor people who had already died and feeling bad for them.

"It makes me wonder what sins they committed as a child," she said, gliding through the graveyard, light and airy, seeming to flit around. "It's fun to be rich," Leona said, grinning, her voice bubbly. "You get anything you want." Of course she would know; that was why she had survived for so long.
"The clubs are much more fun," she said, contrasting the Neko. Leona's grin grew wider. "So many toys to play with. New ones, old ones . . unbroken ones . ."
Moving along the rows, Leona came to an open spot where no one was buried, just plain ground still. She came to stand by Renee, only just a bit taller than her. It was odd, in a way. "You need to calm yourself down before we get anywhere, so just sit down and relax." Leona sat down fluidly, Indian style, her legs crossed, not waiting for her compliance, motioning for her to do the same. This would be interesting.

"Sins? You think they committed sins?" she asked, thoughtful. She had always thought that it was impossible for children to sin. It seemed that Leona had a bit of money. Renee was slightly jealous. But, seeing as Leona was a vampire it was easy to understand why she would have a lot of money. "I bet it is," she said, looking up at the sky. "I wish I could have whatever I want," she added blankly. She pretty much got whatever she wanted, no doubt. If she wanted something, she would steal it, simple as that. Normally she didn't try to steal things that were worth a lot of money, but sometimes things caught her eye. She just didn't like the idea of being caught.
The Neko listened to Leona speak. Listening was something Renee happened to be good at. It made it easier to react to the person. Some people didn't know how to listen and made mistakes when making friends. But others were good at listening and paying attention. They were the ones who made friends. But that wasn't what Renee wanted to do. "I like toys," she said, dancing a bit. Leona told her to calm down, and the Neko made it seem hard to do. Like she was hyper and couldn't even think of settling down. But inside, she was calm. She flopped down beside Leona and sighed heavily. 'Calm,' she thought, looking over at Leona. She couldn't relax too much, she didn't trust this woman.

She smiled, her amber eyes closing, tilting her head up to the sky. Renee was still on edge, it was easy to see that, but it would be easy to take her out, too. Simple, even, if Renee did the right things.
"Perhaps they did, or maybe their parents did, and this child's death was the punishment . . no matter, it's not like that affects us." Leona shrugged, giving her a quick glance. "The living world is what concerns me, Renee."
Leona laughed softly, her eyes finding the glittering stars. It was nearly eleven at night. "Focus on one object in front of you, and blank your mind. Let nothing disturb that abyss you're trying to reach," Leona guided her, her voice just above a whisper.

"That seems so cruel," Renee said, allowing herself to calm down a little bit. "I wouldn't want to lose my baby.." she admitted. This was truth and something that was now becoming a fear. If Renee ever had children, she wouldn't want to lost them not matter what. Renee actually liked kids, really. She didn't particularly want one at the time, but she did like them. She figured at least they wouldn't judge her and they might even find her cute. 'They might even like my ears,' she thought, smiling. She was beginning to wonder why she was here with Leona. What had made her want to be around Leona longer than she had to? She shrugged her shoulders, glad to have someone to talk to at least.
Her ears perked as she received an explanation of what to do. She looked in front of her and focused on a rock. She figured it should be easy to work with, if anything. She didn't speak, only focused on the rock before her. She was trying to block out thoughts and was failing. She couldn't keep from thinking about everything around her. Such as the child that had no lived long enough to even know what it's reason for living was. It was upsetting, but Renee knew that everyone died sooner or later. Otherwise you may be in for a hard life.

"Punishment shows no mercy," she commented cheerfully, her voice light as she closed her eyes. "Perhaps they deserved it."
But then Leona fell silent. This girl wasn't listening, it was obvious. Leona could taste her nervousness, the untrusting part of her, in the air, like she could smeel it, a tangiable scent. She could lead Renee on for a bit, guiding her just a tad, at least, in the art and talent of telekinesis. She used hers to pick up another rock, from behind the two woman, not one that Renee was focusing on. She began to carve it, her mind working furiously to find a design to make it into. In a bit, Renee would be out like a light, and Leona would have her prize for the slave auction.

Perhaps they deserved it. Renee wasn't sure how to take this statement. Perhaps they did. She decided she didn't care, though deep down there was something tugging on her and saying she did. She dropped the subject though and looked over at Leona. The woman's eyes were closed and Renee opened herself up to the woman's emotions again. Out here, Leona was the only one Renee could feel. "Would you ever kill anyone, Leona?" Renee asked, a bit of malice in her voice. She was going to find out if this woman was a violent woman. Was she worth taking in? Renee only had one way of finding out. She wasn't going to waste anymore time on someone who couldn't do as she was told. She focused on the rock before her once more, this time blocking out the thoughts that plagued her mind.
She tried to move it, failing. She was unaware of the rock behind her being molded and shaped to Leona's desires, thought she was monitoring this woman's emotions now and the previous question would be hard for Leona to answer falsely. Renee could focus entirely on Leona with very little distractions. Unfortunately, this also meant she wasn't paying much attention to her surroundings.

Leona grinned, just as a cat would at a mouse. "Of course I would. My own gain is more imprtant than my sin," she said casually, as though it were the weather or such. The truth was, Leona already had killed numerous people, to live, directly and indirectly.
The rock she had been carving was sharp and pointed, ready for action. But then, it crumpled into dust, blowing away into the wind, leaving no trace of its existance. Leona had no use for it, anyway. The gloves she wore had knives built into them, a good weapon. She looked over to Renee. The Neko still wasn't listening to her instruction, eh? Oh, well, that was fine.
Instantly, Leona sprung, the knives unsheathing themselves in the right, the left hand at her neck, holding the Neko captive, the other poised so that she could easily slit her throat. "Renee, how do you feel about slavery, hmm?" Leona asked, her voice mocking.

Renee didn't reply to Leona, just looked at her with an approving smile. She then returned her eyes to the rock and sighed once more. "I don't think I can do it," she murmured. The little Neko had never killed in her life. She never really needed to, she always had someone to do it for her and even then there was little reason to kill anyone. Renee had a weapon on her but didn't think she would need to use it. So far, Leona had shown very little hostility towards her. Her emotions were all in line, for the most part. Renee looked off to the right and gave up on the rock.
The next thing she knew, Leona had moved. Her emotions hit Renee hard and she tried to move out of the way. Unfortunately, it was too late. Leona had her pinned to the ground and knives at her throat. Renee narrowed her eyes up at the woman, breathing heavily. Her ears were laying back against her head and there was something like a growling coming from her throat. "You bitch," she hissed. Had Renee known that Neko's were being taken away for slavery she would have been more careful. She struggled, but knew she couldn't move much or this woman could kill her. "Get off me," she said, anger in her eyes. "You don't want to do this Leona. We are friends," she said, her voice persuasive. It wouldn't work as well as it would have, seeing as Leona wasn't really under Renee's influence.

Her hand pressed her farther to the ground, silencing the growl coming from Renee. "Hah," she mocked her, laughing. "Friends? I think not, you skank." Her hand that was once bladed, but now not, drew back, and slapped her across the face, enough force to make her head snap to the side.
"You try to control others around you, and yet no skills on your part. I'm a physic vampire - you figured that out at the club, did'nt you? - but I had no idea you would be that stupid," Leona said harshly, her eyes narrowed and cruel. "Like I said before, my own gain is the only thing I care about. You are but a tool, nothing more, maybe less."
There was no way Renee was getting out that easily. She was trapped, and Lona had succeeded. The Neko would fetch a fair price, enough to make Leona happy. Leona brought her up, forcing her to stand and walk out of the cemetary, not lessening her grip for even one second, the night enfolding the two.
