the tide rises, the tide falls;;The air smelled of crisp salt water as she her steps, crunching the dying grass beneath her feet, were drowned out by the crashing waves she could hear below. Without seeing it, she could picture the waves, gentle and calm in nature, crashing against the cliffs, creating a fine mist. Kennadee could feel a bit of the mist as she breathed deeply, inhaling the fresh scent. Slicked back into a rather long ponytail, her ebony hair whipped around her porcelian face as the wind took on a new life once she reached the top of the cliffs. Loose strands caressed her face as she pushed them away with a relaxed hand. Everything about the cliffs made her relax.
Kennadee took a few more steps towards the cliff's edge, peering over into the crashing waves below she had heard as she ascended. Closing her eyes, she tilted her head upwards towards the sky and outspread her arms like a bird, taking in the scene, one she had seen countless times before. She had never before been here with anyone for this was her place, her sanctuary. Kennadee had so much affection for this spot that she would not even dare smoke here. Which, anyone who knew her knew that she was constantly caught with cigarette smoke wispfully dissapating around her.
Kennadee opened her eyes to look out at the ocean, so vast and blue. Her eyes scanned it carefully. She loved to search for dolphins and the like in the water. Occasionally, she was lucky enough to see a few playing together.
As much as Kennadee loved the ocean and the way the sun glinted off the surface, there was nothing quite like the path of light the moon left on the leaves of a forest. It was a majestic sight really, one she could only truly appreciate as an animal, usually a fox, it was her choice of animal the majority of the time.
Thinking about the nightlife in the forest made her yearn for the sun to set, as it was beginning to do. This was the reason she had climbed the cliffs in the first place, to watch the sunset. Kennadee sat down upon the soft ground and repositioned herself so that she was laying on her stomach, propped up by her elbows. Her legs, crossed at the ankles and in the air, were swaying slightly back and forth with the gentle motion of the winds as the sky slowly transformed into an array of purple, pink, and orange hues.
She smoothed a piece of loose hair behind her ear as the clouds began to take on the colors of the sunset. They were like sponges dipped in paint, coloring over the blue. Kennadee sighed out of complete contentment and began to hum to herself, creating a tune from the crashing waves below. the twilight darkens, the curlew calls;; - Poem Quote: "The Tide Rises, the Tide Falls", Longfellow

[[OOC: if you don't want me to join just PM me and I'll delete it]]
As the young girl laid overlooking the setting sun, a scene much uglier was taking place under her in the cliff face. The white angel, Kylie, had been tracking a clan of young Vampires and she was desperate to finish them off before the sun set. She had flown from the top of the cliffs and landed in the entrance of a small cave just a few minutes prior.
A skin tight silver body suit hugged her statuesque body as the angel moved through the small cave and then she saw them. A trio of young Vampires sleeping in the darkness of the cave. Kylie lifted her crossbow and shot a wooden bolt into the chest of the first one. Screeches of pain echoed from below Kennadee as the second Vampire was finished.
As she was reaching for another wooden stake, Kylie was bowled over by the last Vampire. He scurried out of the exit of the cave and turned to ash in the sun, even though it was setting. Kylie returned the wooden stake to the black belt that was slung low around her hips. She swung her crossbow back over her shoulder and then she left the cave and started to climb up the cliff face. She could have easily flown away but she apparently didn't want to waste energy.
As she reached the top of the cliff and climbed to her feet, the setting sun silhouetted her frame and wings causing her to appear even more angelic. Foggy blue eyes glanced over to the girl and then she spoke softly "My apologies for ruining your sunset. Nonetheless you might have been their first meal of the night."

the tide rises, the tide falls;;Here on the edge of the cliffs, the sea mist was always its strongest. Her face was doused with the salty spray, annoying as it may be for some, for her it was like floating. It was a calming spray, one that was cool and almost burned with it landed upon your face. However, the burn immediately turned into that pleasant tingle, making her have that 'just slipped out a warm bath' feeling. Kennadee wrinkled her nose as more spray bombarded her face, some seeping past her lips and into her mouth. She immediately began to feel her lips dry from the heavy amount of salt and licked them, first her top lip, than her bottom. How perfectly...salty. She thought with a giggle.
Kennadee's hands, in the form of fists, were pressed against her cheeks for support. Her humming had long ended but she began to tap a melody on the bones of her cheeks, creating different notes with each side. It was as though her cheeks were filled with the dozens of different drums she had seen so many times. Kennadee had often wanted to learn how to play, but never quite got around to it in her life. She had simply been either too busy or just constantly on the move. Of course, that was in her nature, to be busy and constantly in a cycle of change. Looking back, it didn't seem as though she had been with the same people, or in the same place for too long. Sure, she had actually lived with her parents for eight years until Raymond shipped her off, but she was rarely around then and when she was, she was locked away in her room, reading and writing, her two great loves.
Sea mist struck her face again as the wind picked up and played games with her ponytail, whipping it around her neck and her face. Kennadee turned her face into the whimsical wind and let it dry her face of mist. She took a hand away from her face and made it dance in the wind, creating up and down motions in the air, stopping the wind for one second. The wind, a truly marvelous thing. No one could see it, but everyone could feel it, everyone could see it's presence among the whistling leaves and such. She was once told that was how love was supposed to be, so much for that. Her only experiance of what she imagined to be love had been, well in short, tragic. It had after all left her with a gigantic, ugly scar down her sternum.
Kennadee smiled brightly as her eyes made their way back up to sunset as she tried to push that night from her mind. She took note of the colors blending together in the beautiful way they did. She noticed everything in great detail, always. Whether this was because she was a shapeshifter and had seen things through animals eyes, or she was a writer and imagery was key, she was unsure. Either way, everything around her was always brillant and took on a life of it's own in her eyes. Even now, sitting here she had an entire story forming in her mind, working completely off the sunset and the scenic setting on the Cliffs.
As she began to write in the air with an imaginary pen and paper, jotting down her thoughts so she would not forget them as she often would, her world was shattered by that of a shrieking creature below. She crawled the edge of the cliff and looked down to see a vampire decaying to ash in the last rays of the sun's light. Despite all the things she had seen, this was always horrid.
She pulled away from the edge as an angel was emerging from the cave below. The angel scaled the cliffs up towards Kennadee and stood there, her wings illuminated from the dissapating sunlight behind her, forcing her to reak of angelic grace. In all honesty, Kennadee had a natural aversion to angels. Perhaps it was because of her sinful nature...
Despite her immediate disdain for this angel, she looked at her and could not help but admit to herself that she was rather beautiful with her plump lips. Kennadee licked her own salty ones and spoke back to the angel. "My sunset is no where near ruined, well, slightly, but only because you're standing in my view," she retorted coyly. "But thanks for 'saving me'." Most people assumed Kennadee was rather tame and unfit for fighting. My, how those people were wrong. the twilight darkens, the curlew calls;; - Poem Quote: "The Tide Rises, the Tide Falls", Longfellow

[[OOC: I don't know, some people don't like that I don't type very much -shrugs-]]
Kylie's blue eyes looked down upon the girl softly as the girl responded to her. She couldn't help but chuckle at the sassy retort but she quickly moved away from the edge of the cliff nonetheless, allowing the unobstructed view of the beautiful sunset once more.
Heavy black combat boots crushed the ground underfoot as the beautiful Angel stepped towards the young girl and then she turned to look out at the sunset herself. She bent her knees and lowered her body to sit on the ground, her white feathery wings twitching gently in the ocean breeze. Her brown ponytail also whipped in the breeze as well, much like the other girl's.
She didn't know why she was staying here, she had not been invited, but something about the girl attracted Kylie. Sure, she could sense that the girl was a sinner, but Kylie didn't want to judge her just yet. She smiled softly and turned her head towards the girl, blue eyes studying her as the beautiful voice tingled between her full lips "I hope you don't mind me joining you here. I'm Kylie by the way..."
The Angel smiled as she offered her beautiful French manicured hand towards the girl in a polite fashion. Her wings opened and stretched gently before folding back to her back once more. They seemed to be a nervous tick for her, much like a person chewing their nails.

the tide rises, the tide falls;;Despite her natural aversion to angels, she couldn't help but feel a twinge of attraction towards her. Alright, it more more than a twinge as she watched her perfectly toned bodess vibrate softly with laughter, no doubt at her 'spunky' reply. Kennadee smiled and found a giggle ecaping her own lips. However, she stopped it immediately. No. She would not laugh with her, but she wanted to.
She turned her neck, resting her chin on her shoulder, to watch the angel sit on the ground relatively close to her. Her wings, though a simple of her purity which was nonsense to Ken, were gorgeous as the dissapating light shown on them. She wanted to reach out and touch them, their white feathers looked soft to the touch. However, she kept her hands back, away from the angel. Why was she not screaming at her to fly her angelic ass away? It was the 'twinge' of attraction. Damn her pansexuality.
Before thinking, she found herself replying the angel, Kylie. "No, I don't mind you joining me at all. It's nice to have some company," she smiled at her, being ernest, surprisingly herself. "I'm Kennadee," she returned, placing her own self-manicured hand in Kylie's, shaking it slightly. Her skin was soft, as she knew it would be. She realized she was lingering on the hand shake and pulled her hair back, twirling a piece of her hair from her ponytail. the twilight darkens, the curlew calls;; - Poem Quote: "The Tide Rises, the Tide Falls", Longfellow

Kylie wrapped herself hand gently around the hand of the other girl and she shook it lightly. Kylie's skin was just like her body, perfect and pure. After a few moments she lowered her hand back to the ground next to her hip to support herself. Her blue eyes suddenly darted around and Kylie glanced backwards over her shoulder. Something was wrong, she had sensed something in the encroaching darkness.
"Be alert... something is not quite right......" her voice had lowered to a nervous whisper and then she clicked her tongue barbell against her teeth gently. Kylie had noticed spiders had been acting very strange recently, but she had no idea they were becoming dangerous, just like she had no idea that the woods behind the pair were now alive with millions of the arachnids and they would be heading their way.

the tide rises, the tide falls;;Kennadee, realizing her eyes were locked on the angel, quickly averted them. She looked through slit-like eyes the sliver of the remaining sun. Just a small, curved line above the ocean now, the sun faded into darkness, taking its warmth with it. The ocean breeze slightly chilled Kennadee there in the darkness and she suddenly felt the need to be covered in fur, in the shape of a fox, running across the beach somewhere below.
Kennadee sighed, her back arched but then suddenly straight as a board. Her human ears twitched and the one closest to the forest transformed into that of a fox, sticking out of her ebony hair. She listened closely, her ear twitching as possible danger encroached. It sounded like a million legs marching their way at once. She shivered. It couldn't be what she thought it was, it just couldn't.
Dee hardly noticed wheen Kylie spoke, she was so intense on listening to the forest."Something...something big is coming," she commented, finding it difficult not to comment on the clicking noise the angel's tongue piercing had made. Something about that was incredibly to appealing.
She turned her head to look at Kylie, one ear still transformed. "What do you think that sound is? It's like a million soldiers, all coming this way." the twilight darkens, the curlew calls;; - Poem Quote: "The Tide Rises, the Tide Falls", Longfellow

Kylie noticed the ear change of the young girl and then she realized she was a shape shifter. It made no difference to the Angel, shifters and humans were never targets of hers. She didn't hear the noise as much as she sensed the approaching danger. Curling one leg under her body, Kylie pushed herself to her feet as Dee asked the question.
"I don't know... something dangerous and as far as I can tell it's no Vampire or Lycan. It's almost... like millions of tiny things..." as she was saying that, Kylie gasped softly as the ground came alive with the arachnids. She quickly backed towards the edge of the cliff and looked at the girl. "JUMP! If you can't fly I'll catch you!" the Angel yelled as she spun around and dove from the cliff. Large, white wings spread and Kylie turned to fly close to the edge of the cliff in case she had to catch the girl, flapping her wings rapidly to hover in place. The spiders were closing in around the young girl and one of them even ventured to leap towards her leg.
