Alaya sat in the far side of the almost empty room. Most of the slaves were sold or off somewhere else. Not that it mattered to her, they never talked with her. She was the trouble maker and the spot she was sitting in was her's. No one messed with her, the girl that couldn't stay with one master for very long. She meant trouble which meant punishment to most.
Her eyes closed slightly as she smoothed out her skirt making sure it covered her ankles. Her shirt was torn at the elbows but otherwise the long sleeved shirt was warm. She slowly drifted off. Her senses were alert and focused but her mind was somewhere else. She started to listen to the distant sound of water dripping from some where in the room.
She didn't register that someone walked in, or did someone leave? She didn't know, just that she hoped it had nothing to do with her. She was feeling slightly dizzy and didn't want any slave mouthing off or someone who worked there yelling.

Whoa, I feel just like we're taking control, Of the night, of the night
Whoa, I feel just like we're losing control, But if you let go, I'll let go tonight
Jess walked into the Underground. He hated it. It was full of Lycans... but most of them were in the fighting ring at this point. They were watching the ancient fight. He noticed one of the slaves alone. He went towards her.
He began to read he thoughts. She didn't know if someone entered the room, or left. This might work out for the better. He took in a small amount of her energy, hoping that if she didn't have enough she wouldn't fight or be too much trouble.
Jess walked over to her, and stood next to her. "Trouble maker?" He asked knowing the answer all too well. If she was here, and alone, and not sold yet, or at Cyanide then they must be a trouble maker. But they could have too many slaves in the cages at the auctions and she was the unlucky one.

Alaya looked up to see someone coming towards her. Great just her luck and right when she wanted no one else around. He didn't look like a slave or one of those Lycan guards. She knew he wasn't a Lycan that was for sure. That only left a customer. Why would a slave owner come to this part of the underground instead of watching the fights?
Great her head hurt even more now and she suddenly felt slightly weaker. What the hell was this guy. 'Trouble Maker' yep that was her. What did this guy want? She wanted to just ignore him but of course her personality wouldn't allow it. Curiosity killed the cat right? It might be her own undoing one day.
"What do you want? And why are you here. Usually those looking for slaves go to the auctions or the fights" She stated sharply. She realized there was no one else in the room. Great she had no real advantage here. Well she couldn't do anything about that, only keep her guard up.

She's hot, can't stop, up on stage, doing shots, Tip the man he'll, Ring the bell, get her drunk she'll scream like hell.
No one really knows if she's drunk or is she's stoned, But she's coming back to my place tonight.
Jess smiled. She didn't like him being here. She was trying to figure out what and who he was. She had figured out that he was a customer, and he wasn't a lycan. But that wasn't much. He smiled even more at her reaction to when he took some of her energy. She was pretty angry at that.
"Lets not start with the mouth alright?" He said. If her attitude kept up at the way it was, he would get mad at her pretty fast. As he's one for punishments. "You're coming with me. Got that?" He asked, hoping that her attitude would change and fast. He wouldn't stand for a mouthy slave. He had his own attitude that he was trying to change, she could change hers or deal with the many punishments that he would give her.

What! Who did this guy think he was? He wasn't her master, and even if he was she would still give him trouble. He couldn't just come in here and order her around. Something told her just to shut up and listen to the man but those were the slave instincts that are ground into every slave. Only some decide to ignore it.
"Who do you think you are coming in here like that, and ordering me around on the spot" She half shouted as she stood. That was the worst move she could have made but she didn't care. Her head wasn't working right and she couldn't think strait.

You know what she is, no doubt about it She's a bad, bad girlfriend!
Doesn't take her long to make things right. But does it make her wrong to Have the time of her life.
Jess shook his head. Her thoughts were loud and very angry. Why had he chose this slave.
1: To get her out of this place 2: He was probably better than other owners 3: She couldn't stay with a master for long, they always returned her 4: If she wasn't kept for good soon, they would just drain her.
Jess had a heart, although it didn't seem like it. He knew what it was like here, and he didn't like it, although he thought that humans and all races that were inferior should be slaves, he didn't think that they should be treated like this. He was trying to give her a better life, but the lycans always knew him as harsh and would be glad to let him take her, knowing all too well that he wasn't one shy of punishment.
Jess sighed as she stood up and raised her voice at him. "If you want to live, and just have to follow a few rules, i recommend that you listen to me" He said softly, looking towards the door, noticing that the lycans were too into the fight to notice anything happening between the two.

Alaya breathed for a moment. This was the time to be level headed. Figure out what he is and listen. She calmed down and looked at the man. Her headache lessened a bit. Vampire, he was a Vampire. Alright that was a bit better. Now she should listen to his rules.
"Alright I will listen" She said, her voice calmer, more curious than anything. She wanted out of this place. She knew not many would buy her now when she was never kept. The Lycans were looking for some reason to get rid of her one way or another.

My best friend gave me the best advice He said each day's a gift and not a given right
Leave no stone unturned, leave your fears behind And try to take the path less traveled by That first step you take is the longest stride
Jess smiled when he knew that she would listen. "If you don't listen you need to know the consequences." He said softly. "And you need to know something else" He continued, he thought that she should know this. "I am not your friend, i will not help you with your problems, I'm your owner, you got that?" He asked as he waited for a response before beginning again.
"I'm not straight. That means that i either like both sexes or i only like guys, and I'm not fond of girls, but i still like them. Their alright, but a little too over dramatic for me. I had a boyfriend, we broke up but we might get back together. So you may see him a lot," He said taking a breath. "That also doesn't mean that you can stare at him profusely. Because although he will like the attention i will get angry, These are just the few rules that you have to listen to and abide by." He said as he put the key into the lock on the shackles that kept her chained to the room.
He only had unlocked them from the ground, and not from her wrists. "Look like your trying to resist when we pass either a lycan or the ring. They need to think that your not cooperating" He said as he picked up the chain and began to lead her out of the room.

Alaya nodded as he told her he would not help. Not that it mattered. She didn't expect anything less of a slave owner. None of her previously owners did anything for her. She was used to being punished and then sold again, so really what could he throw at her that was so bad. She didn't care about his personal life no did she even think of flirting with someone that owned slaves or considered themselves better than others.
She smiled slyly when he told her to act like she wasn't cooperating. "Now you are talking" She stated. as they headed out of the room. She yanked on the chain with a displeased look on her face. She tried to force her hands out of the shackles making her wrist bleed from the hard metal.

Jess smiled as she liked the idea of her fighting against him. He sighed as he knew that she had just made a cut on her arms trying to act like she wasn't being cooperative. Jess nodded at a lycan as he passed them and walked towards the fighting ring. As soon as lycan returned to the ring, Jess rolled his eyes.
He didn't think that they should hold fights and bet on them, its like the dog fights for the humans, and should be illegal, but leave it to Lycans to find a way out of it. Jess then led Alaya out of the underground and towards his new mansion.
