The Past:
Six thousand years ago, there lived a race, known as the Kaitiks, whose intelligence and powers were unmatched because of their ancestry with the ancient dragons. They kept the peace, stopped wars and made a lot of people very happy. However, things were about to change when a catastrophic war broke loose between the Angels and the Demons, who each wanted full control over the Kingdoms.
Five Demon Lords first appeared at this time; each of them controlling one of the five elements. They banded together, creating an almost indestructible force to annihilate the Angels. The Kaitiks, foreseeing that the war would not be stopped, no matter how hard they tried, sought help from two ancient dragons, Yin and Yang, who lived in a cave at the top of a mountain, and who never stepped out into the sunlight.
Their humanoid descendants begged for a way to stop the war, and the two dragons informed them of such. They sacrificed the life of a maiden among their ranks, in hopes that help would appear once they had done it, but it backfired. The Kaitiks were wiped out completely from sudden deaths and illnesses, and most of the dragons withered away. With the plan having failed, Yin and Yang confined themselves to the cave for what they thought would be the rest of eternity, with just half of their souls, the rest of which they had given up to the sacrifice.
The war continued, and the Demon Lords took many slaves under their command, destroyed whole cities and killed many innocents. They set up a school, the Cerberus Academy of Dark Arts, here they mercilessly trained teenagers to become their army of thousands. There was always deceit among the ranks of the Lords, and greed made them do stupid things. They never imagined that the stories of Yin and Yang, that they'd heard, would actually be true.
The Present:
It was at this time, in the present day, that Ash and Vulkan were born. The last two Kaitiks to walk the Earth.
A number of trials awaited them, and their lives were made very difficult. They were not the only ones in trouble, however, for the Demon Lords began to split apart, and are now holding on by a thread to keep themselves together. Only four of the five remain loyal to the cause. But they are still winning.
They have recently discovered that thirteen god-like spirits have descended upon the Earth. One went to the strongest Demon Lord, one went to the female Kaitik, and one to the male Kaitik. The other nine's whereabouts are still unknown, but the Demon Lords, believing that these spirits could be the key to finally getting what they want, have begun to hunt them down...
The Future:
The world’s children are in need of some serious help. Will they pull through and see the end of the war, or will the universe as they know it be overthrown and made a hell on Earth?
