The spacious well lit dining area echoed with idle gossip, accompanied the sound of forks scraping plates, and foot steps. David swallowed nervously, it was crowded that night he could tell and it was probably a high class one too judging by the familiar sounds of the clanking of crystal. His blind eyes were covered by his black sunglasses. He wore them because his wavering sky blue eyes often disturbed most people... that and they were oakley's. David carefully made his way up to the piano, he had played in nicer restaurants before he he was fired for knocking over a wine glass.... well this was only half true. David had gotten fired after the wine glass knocked over the candle catching fire to the gentlemen's menu, which wasn't so bad until the gentle man began waiving it around hysterically spontaneously setting a few other costumers on fire. Fortunately he found the piano with no problems or adventures along the way. He took in a deep breath as his fingers rested on the smooth ivory keys and began to play.......... soon the all the noise began to go quiet, utensils scraping on plates hushed, and the gossip all but faded as the his fingers glided across the piano all could be heard was the gentle melody enveloping the entire room. (( THE SONG)) He wasn't he supposed to sing, but it was getting late and his last song he wanted to leave an impressing before he left.... it was a gamble but he figured the owner of the restaurant would either love it or hate it... if it was well received he would get the job... if not then well he didn't want to think about it, as long as his conscious was clear in the end. When he finished the room was completely silent not a soul stirred, David slowly rose up from the piano and grabbed his walking stick.... the room was still a total hush... began to wonder if anyone was still there. No one applauded it was just unearthly silence. David let out an agonized sigh and left the back way out into the alley... He paused hearing something... David quickly brushed the tear that that was running out from beneath his sunglasses hoping the stranger had not see him cry, for he was certain everyone had hated it... though he had no way of telling. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- OOC Need a Female Charracter =) She can be Good or Evil up to you.... "That was beautiful..." Tala said quietly, not exactly sure why he'd kept his sunglasses on in such a well established restaurant. She was at least appreciative of the music, Tala had always had a good ear for such things. Often finding beauty in everything she could find, it gave her hope that maybe she was something more than a rabid drooling wolf in the broad scheme of things.
For a moment she was unsure if he'd heard her but then a tear slid his smooth well toned face and she gasped, terrified that she'd offended him in some way. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend you... I'll just go." she blurted out, resisting the urge to simply transform and bolt down the alleyway in her Lycan form. Tala wasn't exactly Human, she wasn't really Lycan either but a strange mix of vicious Werewolf and rather tame Lycan.
Luckily it appeared to be a normal night, no full moon in sight... or any moon for that matter. Though Tala knew it was still there the darkness of the moon's surface lingering just beyond view as it camouflaged itself to mirror the night sky surrounding it. Surely something Tala knew all about, fitting in. It was a tricky business trying to stay out of the public eye and remain inconspicuous. Though had been alot simpler since leaving school, she now worked at a local bakery delivering goods for anyone who wished to order them.
In her spare time she'd deliver almost anything, anywhere in record time. Tala hated to be inside for too long but thoroughly enjoyed music all the same though she couldn't play, she could cook well enough but she hadn't a clue what piece he'd just played or by whom it was written. Suddenly the back door opened yet again, revealing a rather disgruntled Chef who'd been waiting almost an hour now for his delivery from the bakery just down the road.
"What are you doing woman?!... get that bread in here now before I refuse to pay you, the customers will riot if they don't get these A.S.A.P...." The Chef snapped, gently shaking Lupe from her day dreams of music and deliveries. He clearly knew her well, though she had no desire to know him at all. Handing the Chef his basket of bread with a slight rattle as her assortment of wooden bangles dangled dangerously close to the handle almost tangling themselves around a bread stick as she handed it over.
Tala could over accessorize sometimes... though he couldn't see her or her awkward apologetic glance at the chef Tala was quite beautiful her skin an even honey glazed tone, highlighted by her large wolfish hazel eyes that seemed to capture very detail and reflect it back o the world in awe of its amazing riches. Her hair was a mix of chestnut brown, golden honey and an inky black for shadow. She smelled of fresh spring flowers and an earthly dampness that no doubt came from her entirely inappropriate high-heeled shoes.
As the grumpy, unhappy chef returned Tala almost cowered from him. Waiting until the last moment to take the basket from him, before returning to her conversation with David. She'd heard him playing from out here and although she couldn't quite make out the words he'd been singing with her highly sensitive hearing, she wanted to hear more.
"T-thanks..." She replied sheepishly to the chef as he indicated her wage now sitting in the empty straw basket. Tala hoped the chef would leave soon, so she would get the chance to hear more from David. That was if she hadn't already offended him but somehow she figured he'd appreciate her compliment and perhaps if she could muster up the courage to ask him, he'd play for her...
