Name: Vel'phaspherex Nolgolgothule
Alias: The All Corrupter; The Pitiless One, He Who Claims the Weak, Stomach of the Legion, 7th lord of Nessus.
Sex:Asexual, but usually identifies with a male pronoun; though Vel has been known to dabble. Can be changed to suit a situation if necessary.
Sexuality:Asexual, but Vel has been known to dabble to continue his own ends and personal games.
Race:Demon Elemental (Corruption), Baatezu
Powers/Abilities:
Spiritual Elemental: Vel is a living embodiment of a spiritual element of the human condition. As such he would, arguably, never have existed were it not for humans developing a sense of right and wrong; and in Vel's case, choosing wrong above right. As such, he will always exist regardless of the state of the world or his own mind. Normal wounds heal over time and more serious ones leak ash rather then blood. If destroy completely, his physical form will simply be reborn at the closest act of cruelty, when his spirit form finds one. He is, however, still a "living" creature. He feels pain, pleasure and most other senses.
Being part living and part spiritual gives Vel is sort of dual existence. Unlike a human, who's spiritual form is within the mortal coil; Vel has both living together, one on top of the other. While the mortal form is subject to change through out the ages, the spiritual manifestation is the same. A truly nasty creature to behold. Hulking, skeletal and pale slate blue with claws and teeth razor sharp. It stands taller then any man or lycan and seems to be a pitch black skeleton frame encased in a thin blue membrane. His eye sockets are sunken with pin points of yellow to glow out in the dark. Teeth elongated and shark like with clawed feet and hands ending a good 3 inches from the bony fingers.
Unlike other demons, it is his spiritual form that has it's extreme temperature; and in Vel's case is it a screaming cold that saps the heat from everything around it. In the mortal world it's only a chill that runs down your spine in it's presence. But for Angels, Demons and the like it is like walking into a meat locker.
These two forms can move separately but never stray too far from one another. It is also this spirit form that damages any one foolish or enraged enough to attack Vel. A simple touch from his physical form can rend flesh and hurt deep the soul. His spiritual side also enforced his physical, giving his a truly demonic strength. The spirit form, however, needs to be anchored to the physical form in order to impose damage on the physical plane of existence. If the body is destroyed, the spirit is unable to touch the living or physical world; but can still be felt as a presence and create it's corruption wyrms, which seem to slightly slip out of thin air to those without vision of the supernatural.. Even when viewed by other spiritual beings, the Elemental form has a tendency to appear out of focus when it moves around, almost like the mind does not wish to see it or acknowledge it is there. When speaking with spiritual beings, they will hear a duel voice, as both Elemental spirit form and the physical incarnations peak at the same time. While the mortal coils can be gruff, sweet or alluring; the Elemental speaks with an eerie calm rasp that drags the ends of it's sentences.
Touch of the Corrupt: From within his forms, Vel keeps extensions of his all corrupting soul. Distilled with the vile thoughts and deems of countless years; this takes the form of tendrilous black and purple wyrms. Simple slivers of his soul, they work together in swarms, and move very much like snakes that are no longer then your forearm and thicker then an inch. These are spiritual in nature, but can harm the living by digging into the soul. This can manifest itself in an icy burning sensation at the point where it is burrowing into the spirit. Once inside they spread their corrupting influence. Very often Vel can control those he has implanted, to become that voice in the back of their mind, egging them on to make the wrong choices. Many have been reduced to his personal sin puppets only by the power of suggestion. This doesn't mean that everyone can be corrupted. He simply appeals to the darker natures of his victim; tempting them to do as he commands or wishes. The strong willed and pure of heart are very difficult to corrupt...but Vel likes a challenge. The wyrms themselves are also like Vel's spiritual elemental form; appearing both in the physical and spiritual worlds. Once they have existed his body, they are like independent beings. although made of spiritual energy, it is made manifest in the real world and can be damaged and dissipated into nothing. Vel seems to have a limitless number within him however, as they are generated from the cruelty of the world around him. when a wyrm is created, it slips out through a mouth like opening that tears anywhere on Vel's body. These holes can spew out many wyrms at once before closing seamlessly again.
Age: Unknown. Believes he's been around since the birth of evil way back in the first act of true cruelty.
Height: 5.7
Weight: 73kgs (Male) 63kg (Female)
Occupation: Grand Corrupter of the Nine Hells, 7th Judge of the Halls of Malsheem, Slave trader and Mercenary.
Weapon(s):His demonic powers and spiritual claws and teeth.
Accessories:
A necklace of what look like prayer beads around he's neck; carved of a dark wood, darkened by many years around his neck. His wears a bracelet that seems made of the same substance. These beads actually repersent those he has enslaved or corrupted. In his possession are probably countless beaded accessories. Every wooden bead, about the size of a finger nail, is burnt with a demonic symbol represented each spirit that Vel has corrupted and believes belongs to him. each time a new victim is claimed, he has them create a symbol and etch it into their own bead before presenting it to him.
Appearance:
Vel usually has three forms that it has refined and fines it enjoys taking. It's spirit form is constant. It's physical form is usually either a female or male of snow white skin; piercing yellow eyes and raven black hair. The eyes glow in the dark and even when the eyelids close there si a faint yellow that emanates from within.
The male is well toned and muscular with shoulder length, messy hair; appearing to be early 30s in age. Wearing baggy long black pants and a matching black waist coat and white shirt with usually has half the buttons undone. The cuffs are often also unbuttoned. No shoes are worn, though the feet always seem clean regardless of where he'd been walking.
The female form seems younger, about early 20s. The hair stretch down to the lower back and the body takes on a more slender appearance. It does not mimic the muscular exterior of the male; preferring a more idealized view of the female body; catering to a traditional masculine mentality that has been adopted in society. This is tempered with a more petite frame and bust. It's a mystery why Vel chooses to modify itself in this way; perhaps it's just for practicalities sense.Wearing a similar pair of pants as the male form and a belly top of match black, it still enforces the sensual and physical to become as much a visual and physical temptation as it is a spiritual one.
Personality: Vel is like your average demon in usually demeanor. He tried to keep a suave and debonair air about him but in the end he's just another monster. Sadistic to a tee, Vel is often too wrapped up in his personal pleasures to bother with the duties given to him by the Lower Depths. Selfishness is an admirable quality in a demon, and Vel is no stranger to it. He never does anything without personal gain. And a lot of it.
He can be very quite to anger if provoked, and when enraged there is usually very little that can calm him down. Usually he is, however, in control of his emotions. His great age and time on the earth have done only two things: Made him crueler and made him arrogant. He thinks he deserves respect; and demands it regardless of another's status.
It's questionable if Vel even feels sadness. There doesn't seem to be a lot that he holds dear. He likes to appear shallow and without weakness, which is necessary in the demonic worlds. However his time among the mortals have worn away that stone cold exterior a little. He is capable of caring, he hasn't found anything worth caring for and doesn't put much stock in ever doing so. He's also got an odd taste for justice. Vel holds the idea that demons are also meant to punish the wicked; and while he has a vast list of his own horrid crimes, can't help but enjoy the suffering of those who deserve it. Of course, he isn't about to go out of his way to do it when there is a perfectly good mortal soul to string around like a puppet off a cliff.
The weak sicken him, he thinks they are a disease. He can't stand them and only toys with them for a short time before killing them. He thinks of it as culling off the lesser aspects of society. He loves the strong of will and mind, and will even actively seek them out to toy with.

Strengths:
Vel is terribly strong willed and focused when it comes to something he wants.
He is impervious to any kind of extrasensory abilities; making him very difficult to fight on a mental level.
He's got as much as way with words as he is appealing to look at. He's got an odd attractiveness to him, it mite be magical or supernatural, but it seems in be part of him rather then just another demonic power. Evil has a natural allure it seems.
Vel's got a vast knowledge of whats going on in the world. Always on the ball and brimming with insight, he makes a point to know what's happening in the world, and especially in the city he has step up his shop. Often he will know more then he's letting on, or at least know something that he shouldn't.
As a demonic entity, Vel is unique. Part true demon, but also part something else. He claims to be a demonic elemental. The living incarnation of some aspect of the corrupt human soul. Perhaps he is one of the spawns of the very heart of corruption itself, forged with demon fire and tempted by countless eons on the earth. His biology is almost impervious to permanent physical harm. When damaged, his wounds turn to and leak ash, rather then blood. But can regenerate like any lycan or vampire, but still feels pain like any human would. If completely destroyed, he can reconstitute himself where an act of cruelty or corruption is taking place. In a city like this; one doesn't need to look very far for that.
Weaknesses:
Vel isn't exactly the most humble of creatures. Nor should he be...he is a demon after all? But his arrogant nature and demand for respect seem to often rub a lot of people the wrong way. He doesn't even mean to sometimes. It just sort of happens.
He's got a taste for testing people that can often go too far. He pushes others as far as they go and often beyond. He doesn't really make friends that easily, and when he does it's not for very long.
He mite be a charmer; but a lot of what he does is as false as his promises. If he isn't careful enough with his lies he can be caught out and even talk himself straight into a trap if his 'victim' is smart enough. He mite bean ancient demonic being but he can still fall to his own hubris.
Distrust and paranoia run deep around him. His unique nature keeps other devils distant and his penchant for corruption, manipulation and murder keeps other beings on the defensive. When the time comes, Vel doesn't have many he can truly call on. He doesn't believe this is a weakness, but then again he is an arrogant, self adsorb sadistic embodiment of malevolent will. So a bit of delusion is to be expected.
Due to his relatively immortal nature, Vel often has a disregard for the power that others mite possess. He doesn't give much heed to warnings, subtle or not. He has very little concern for himself or others well being. This poses a problem as he really doesn't know if he can be destroyed or not. The touch of angels doesn't seem to have an effect, divine strikes wounded him like mortal weapons. Nor do acts of love and charity weaken him. It's left him not only a little perplexed, but also very afraid of anything his never seen before. While that's few and far between, having found nothing that can truly dispatch him makes him very cautions of anything that hasn't tried to kill him yet. He's been rendered very curious by this, and is often lured by the promise of something new or interesting. He is immortal after all. He needs something to entertain him.
