Name: Poppy Verano Auburn
Alias: Pepper by her father
Sex: Female
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Race: Human
Powers/Abilities:
Heightened 6th sense:: She always has this haunting "feeling" when there is a creature not human nearby, but she can never guess what it is.
Age: 23
Height: 5'8
Weight:124
Occupation: Journalist/Librarian
Weapon(s):
Other than her pepper spray? Whatever she has within her reach I guess.
Accessories:
When it comes to dressing gaudy or showing off trinkets, no matter how much she is nagged and pestered by her father, Poppy always wears only the lightest of layers in jewelry, coming down to simple silver earrings for the occasion, a bracelet or two, and depending on her outfit, a necklace for special events.
Appearance:
Classic. Another redhead reincarnate, bittersweet and the embodiment of a hot summer day, gently molded to haunt men's typical dreams of ensnaring the elusive temptress, batting small, dainty lashes and pursing plump, cheery, honeyed lips into a faraway kiss that never seams to achieve alighting with anyone, and all carefully cradled with her own unique perks, unlike the voluptuous blond babes who's task is made easier, but not as fun. Flashing bloodless summer locks, silky and tangle-free to the exploring fingers, they crash midway down her back nonstop and straightforward, vivid like a fire who's flame have ashed, not out of age, but because they are naturally so, and they carefully trace down the long and rounded silhouette of her face, clasping in its fiery embrace a small forehead as they split apart like veils, a strong jawline, and high cheekbones always stout from daily laughter.
Have a fix on those heroine terra-coat eyes that light up with life as they breath in the sunlight into morning cocoa, carefully encased in a thin, short fringe of eyelashes, their upper row thickened, accentuated by dark liner while the bottom is left famished and incredibly thinned to the point where you think they vanished. Such is the decor of her eyes that are like small ovals. The panel of her face is then finished by lithe, slanted auburn brows closely hovering above her eyes and a smooth, slightly button-like nose. The only misleading guidance to her redhead heritage would be the missing freckles sprinkling her face, as it is all of just one pale, uniform.
The canvas of her body is freshly carved from a blossoming womanhood with a pallid fabric functioning as her skin, its fine soft texture richly flushed in a dim salmon, spreading, infecting every square inch of her moderately slender body, although it is due thicker around her thighs. Curving hips adding a bent to her rather straight waist, a long neck, and an arc for a back make up the finishing touches to her sculpture.
In the apparel section, Poppy has always been the down to earth woman, always wearing the simplest of dresses, tops and bottoms. She is a natural girl, always had been; jeans, long skirts, the mother to earth sort of gal although she's known to mix it up a bit when going out for more wild occasions. As far as she's known, her looks and style have never put guys off before, so she doesn't really worry that much with what she wears, while her hair is always neatly combed and left to fall in its straight fashion as it then catches its natural, vague waves.
Personality:
Let me just say this right off the bat: You never know what mood this frivolous little daddy's girl is ever in until she opens her hellborn mouth and lets loose her unpredictable nature, her very essence. Untamable. Feral to her very bones, despite the contradicting looks she sports. The nature of this woman is like a cryptic enigma and you never know what might spring out of this Pandora's deceivingly childish box until you dare to open it. This is Poppy's inner being, the one locked up and chained so as to not embarrass herself with its powerful cravings. Quiet, but playful. Reserved, but flirtatious. A wild vixen hidden underneath the everyday Jo surface, although this everyday Jo has her own goodies too.
She may frequently act to the sway of her tail (not literally of course), but Poppy's outer persona is pretty fun-loving too with a natural instinctive to be a positive out looker. Although she lives in reality and has no qualms about it, part of her has always been wandering around that which is not realism, the fantastical, the otherworldly. Along with this grand imagination that reigns half of her personal world comes a giddy, spontaneous, childish person, cradling the meaning of life in what her own hands can mold. And aside from being a total daddy's girl, she is her own woman, her own head honcho, her own heaven of hell and hell of heaven.
A heroine trying to change the world one article at a time. But in doing so, she is ever resilient, hardworking, unscrupulous, the Die Hard fan. Don't bother trying to get through her hard skull and don't waste your breath trying to tell her how to live her life or how not to because she'll have none of it and you do not want to realize this the hard way. She loves her job/hobby/obsession. She loves to write, create, to give life to what hos not yet breathed it and shape the vast wonders of her imagination into ink and words. Now, if only her boss would axe down his damn favoritism for the blond dimwits and actually pay some attention to his other godforsaken employees among which there is an actual smart redhead "Hellooo! I'm right here! Christ!" then Poppy would be able to dare a request for promotion and really set her limits to the skies. Its the one thing that most frustrates her, a dream just bare inches away from her grabby fingers. Yet, despite the hard times at work, the occasional writer's block that sometimes feel like the end of the world, and the normal days when she simply does not have enough muse to write anything worth reading off a cereal box, Poppy still loves her writing.
