Zain blinked and looked at the young women dumb founded. Here she was giving him a attitude still after he saved her ass. Sure she got licked on..but he still saved her!..Right? He was the good guy he thought. As he snapped out of thought he walked over to her, Unfortunately the scene of the place was horrid and very smelly, Most people would have puked from it. But he beard it as he knelled down in front of her trying to look upon her face. "I'm sorry.., I did not know you did not need help. I now know this now. I truly do apologies for my rudeness." Zain slightly knelled his head down to be humble, apparently she was threatened by men it seemed. Suddenly though Zain rose his head quickly as his ears picked up several more roars off in the distance. They were very faint..but they were real and they would be coming this way. Not one..but a pack he figured. And to be honest he did not want to fight a pack of those beasts while protecting this women. Though his dark side told him it would be wiser to feed her to them and have peace and quiet and to get away. Truly it wont a bad idea as he turned back to her smiling. "Shall we start over?"

Phay looked at him frowning, she pressed herself more against the wall. For a moment a small amount of fear flickered through her and for a brief moment had shown clear on her face. She look down away from his piercing gaze, shaking her head mentally what was she getting so worked up for? This guy wasn't Lucian...ugh the very thought of that name brought chills up her spine.
She stood up quickly suddenly feeling sick, and the guy's sudden change in attitude...she was having a hard time believing he meant anything he said. Still the man had saved her technically twice now, she did owe him something she gave a heavy sigh as she began to walk away stopping only once though she never turned back to look at him. "Phay..." She had said it quietly though this time her voice was soft and gentle instead of cold and flat she was hoping that he had not heard it though somehow she knew he had. She then made her way to a window once again staring out into the dark rusty night air looking up at the stars...they were her only real company.

He watched and noticed the hint of fear. It was not nothing he was not used to. As he stood up and she moved her heard it faintly. A barely audiable whisper. Phay..,So that must be the young womans name. With her speaking though he sensed alot of pain in her. Something he figured was not anything to pry into, Mostly now. Now was actually the time to break the news to her as he approached her slowly. "Phay..We need to go and hide. This place is no longer safe. I am unable to fully protect you from the pack that is coming this way." It was unfortunite that they had not met on better terms. Or place. As he turned he went into the next room and began to look for a back door. Logicly there was no way to out run these things with this women holding him back. But there had to be a way.

Phay watched him exited into another room, she slumped forward on the window sill. She knew she was just getting in the way and a part of her felt bad for it. Sometimes...not very often. She wished she was something more, something a little more stronger. So she could protect instead of always being protected. She put her hand to her waist pulling the hilt of the sword out slowly before letting it fall back with a loud click; she repeated the process out of boredom, glancing to the side wondering what the hell was taking the guy so long.
She didn't want to seem a like doomster but where could they possible go, the woods where thick and dense and it practically needed to daylight for you to navigate your way back to the city. She knew they couldn't just up and run away from creatures and in the cabin they were now sitting ducks. They should just go dig themselves some graves and be done with it. Then it hit her, the light bulb went off in her head.
"Of course..." She smirked almost running with excitement to the other room, She grabbed the mans arm; yanking him out of the room through the cabin entrance. She stopped on the porch quietly looking around, listening or any other movement besides there's. Feeling it was fine she led him down the stare to the side of the house where there lay a large puddled of mud...thick and sticky and it smelled worse then a skunk; perfect. She had seen it early when there had still be daylight but had thought nothing of it.
She smirked up at him, impishly pushing him in tripping him as well so he would land face first. Immediately falling in to though she landed on her ass, taking no time with it she began to cover herself in it from head to toe; musing it into her hair, everywhere she could. She dumped a large amount on the man's head as well. She hoped without words that this was pretty self explanatory.

Zain blinked in disbelief as she tripped him into this ..this..MUD! How dare she! But then he noticed she took no time to get dirty her self as it clicked. This girl was pretty smart..but were they really going to be covered in mud for a straight eleven hours at minim? Well it would work if it distracted the creatures long enough. And right on cue as soon as they finished dirtying there selfs up and laying fully down in it they heard the roaring of the creatures. Zain opened his eyes slowly trying to capture a glimpse of them, He could only see three as they walked up the cabin steps. There weight crushing at the poor old steps as they entered. What hey did in there was questionable, Passably eating there free meal as they soon roared catching scent of something else. Soon you could hear a slight sniffing sound as they walked out the door and followed the trail to wards them. Honestly it made him alittle nervous. Closer and closer they crept till they were nearly atop of them only to grunt and sneeze in protest in disgust. Phay he thought..she was a damn smart girl. After awhile he heard them leave it seemed as he waited roughly a hour after before looking over at phay. "That was really smart you know. I'm impressed."

"Well...when you live on the streets you learn a few things..." Phay frowned turning away from his gaze. She did need praise...it felt weird. Though as much as she hated it she could feel the slight blush on her cheek. She could feel the mud dribbling into her shoes...after this they were gonna need a long bath. Well she didn't know about him but she would have to use the river or pond. Phay sighed being homeless sometimes really did suck.
She looked around, sure was dark now...she hadn't actually though about what to do after this, should they just stay were they were or try and find there way back to the city hopefully before the mud dried off and they became lunch. She leaned back looking up at the stars, enjoying the opened sky. She could feel a content smile creep upon her cheeks. "So what should we do now?"

This predictment actually made Zain laugh. He did not figure this would happen tonight. Appearing in this odd place and then hideing in the mud with this woman to hide from some freaky ass monsters. Oh yes this was definently a story to retell again haha. "Ha..wow... Well it has definently been one hell of a night Phay. But I think we should go now while the cost is clear. Besides I can not imagine you prefer to be all muddy?" With that he got up as he looked around. It seemed clear as he leaned down holding his hand out to her to help her up. He was curious if she would actually accept it, he had a good feeling she would though. Now that they been threw this it would hopefully make things easyier. Unfortuently though things just never went the way you want them to go. Peering upon the roof one of the creatures stood there. He was apprently smarter than the rest and different in color. His skin was black and scaley. And with this one he had eyes unlike the others. Fortuently he did not spot Phay yet. Slowly Zain moved his hand back as he looked up to the creature. He already extended his power for the day. Being in a human body meant he could only use so much power before causing his vessel to litterly exsplode. None the less this was not good. "Heh..looks like I will haft to forget about that bath. Listen to me though Phay. Im going to lead this one away. When I go I want you to get up and head east, it will take you straight to a meadow. From there head north and you will run into the city. I want you to run and do not turn back nomatter what you hear do you understand me? Should be easy seeing as you are used to being independent. I could tell by the look in your eyes." Zain was having a hero moment..which was unlike him. Truthfully he was not sure what he was thinking as he began to back away slowly while smileing at the beast. " Here ugly ugly ugly....come get me...you ugly son of a bitch.."

Tromping hopelessly through the woods, Dirk found himself lost as he stood next to a tree scratching his head. He had never encountered a forest like this one in his travels and it made a chill run down his spine. Picking a piece of bark off with his knife, Dirk stashed it away in the satchel on his belt, Trega would find this interesting he thought to himself.
He was about to continue on when a swift movement out of the corner of his eye caught his attention and he stood still with one foot raised in the air, listening for any sounds belonging to something else with a grip on the claymore strapped to his back. Right now he wished Trega was here, she would have smelled anything long before Dirk would and many other things he couldn't. Hearing nothing and seeing even less as darkness crept around him, he decided to continue on through the woods, his head on a swivel as to keep a constant lookout for anything suspicious or dangerous, and a hand latched on his claymore.
Dirk's stomach grumbled and the Warrior groaned as he rubbed it. His food ran out a day-and-a-half ago and all he had left was his flask of grog and it was hardly appetizing. Though he had hopped to trade it for some food when he met someone, right now however he hopped he didn't meet anyone here, for he figured anyone crazy enough to live here was well... crazy.

Phay did what she was told, though feeling sightly bad for it. Part of her wanted to help but she knew she would only get in the way. Taking off she trudged through the woods. The mud still thick and heavy on her making running at her full speed very hard. Following Zain's directions as best she could she finally saw the clearing heading into the meadow though it was still a good distance away.
Running up a small hillish mound of earth that seemingly had stop short in a small cliff, jumping off she had expected to land on more earth and not a body. They both landed on the hard ground, Phay practically on top of him. She glared at him. "Watch were the bloody hell your going!" She stood up quickly, looking the man over; blinking at him. "What bloody age are you from? What, did you escape from the loony bin? "
Phay never gave him time to answer before taking off again making her way to the meadow, she stopped standing amongst the array of different flowers, looking back at the forest hearing the faint roaring of the beast as she stood completely torn about what to do.

Well it was his gallant moment. Unfortunately it would be spent running for his life. And being so dirty as well? This was not the way a gentlemen of his standards should go out. With that though he began to burst forth his wings. It was always so painful for him to do so seeing as his wings always resided beneath his human hosts skin. With a few more cracks and bone forming they burst ed forth splattering some blood around. This only drove the beast behind him more wild with its blood lust. Zain had a idea though, He was not going to become this meals lunch. As he spread ed his wings he began to take off as all sudden the beasts tongue whipped out and latched onto Zains leg before flinging his into a near by tree and releasing him. "Damn it! What the hell was going on he thought? How can such a creature exist and be this strong? There was noway this creature was of earth." Zain rose slowly to his feet. In times like these it paid to have weapons. But Zain was with out. Hell..he would have been happy to have a little pocket knife. But there was a reason for him thinking so. You see Zain tried to avoid fighting because it activated his instincts. And that was not good. Bad would become a understatement in fact. Shame he did not have more time to think as the creature ran forth lunging at him, jaws open and those razors for teeth ready to rip anything they touched. It was to late. No way to avoid, this creature was just way to fast and big until it happened. Inside Zain's mind a voice spoke."WAKE UP!" Zains pupils nearly disappeared as they formed into the smallest of slits. His wings went entirely black in hue while his hair went fully blonde. Within his mouth his own canines began to elongate as Zain leaned down as the beast lept over him. It was like he was in slow motion before Zains eyes. Pity for the thing, Zains nails now became like four inch daggers as he slashed away at the under belly of the creature. Not killing it but making it wish it was as Zain rolled out of the way. His stance low to the ground as he licked his lips. The old rational Zain was gone for now as he let out a wicked laughter that would send chills down even the strongest of foes. "AHH HAHAHAH!!COME COME...I WANT TO MAKE YOU BLEED MORE HA HA!" The creature turned and roared at him. At least he still had some fight in him.

Dirk blinked at the canopy above him, wondering if what had run into him was friendly or not when he heard a woman's voice. Looking in the direction of the voice he would see a flash of a red cloak as she ran away. Not sure what happened, but what he DID know was that was another person, and she seemed in quite the hurry. Still it was another person and quite possibly one with...
'FOOD! HEY WAIT!' Dirk yelled as he sprung to his feet. Taking a few wide steps to chase after her when out of the darkness came a roar and then the echo of someone laughing like an idiot. Great... there were crazies here he would think to himself as his hand strayed to the ivory horn at his belt and he debated whether or not to call for Trega. He thought better of it, he didn't want to scare the woman when he caught up with her.
'HEY WAIT' He would yell again while running after her. 'I NEED SOME FOOD! I'LL TRADE YOU FOR SOME!' He was either very brave, stupid, oblivious to the danger, or a combination of all three. Either way he need food and the woman was his best bet for anything right now, he sure did not want to eat whatever creatures lived in this messed up forest.

Phay was about to turn and make her way back to the city after hearing the faint but very real manically laughter that she knew had come from Zain, Phay didn't want to get caught in that crossfire between two insane creatures. Though she nearly tripped over herself when she heard the man that she had just had an odd encounter with bellowing his way towards.
Phay turned back around watching the man run towards her, what the hell? did he want the hole bloody forest to notice them?! Phay growled folding her arms in front of her chest, very much thinking of ignoring the man and running back to the city letting him deal with the hoard of monsters that had no doubt heard him screaming at the top of his lunges.
Though the thought of using the man did cross her mind, he looked strong enough maybe she could get him to help her help Zain, though she didn't know if the man was any longer sane but still she couldn't just leave Zain to try and fight off the forest by himself. She waited for him draw nearer maybe the man would trade his abilitles for a honest meal...

(Yay I thought you forgot about this thread phay lol)
The beast was livid as he limped to wards the chaotic Zain. His eyes were wild and Zains showed no difference. Though each step the beast took he would loose a bit of blood that seemed to just spit out of his stomach. Looking closely you would see the outline of his guts. Zains claws apparently struck very deep as Zain began to step forward twitching his fingers. His footsteps becoming silent. Now he was merely stocking the creature that was at first hunting him. O the irony. "Come now..Do not be afraid....Im just gonna getcha and slice ya and KILL YA SOME MORE!"
Zains wings spread ed and then flapped down to send Zain sailing at the creature like he had a rocket upon his back. As well the creature shot out its tongue wrapping around Zains hand as he yanked his neck sending Zain into a tree. It was a good try but Zain angled his wings and soared past the tree gaining more velocity and speed before sailing past the creature striking him down before landing with a thud as he began to walk. Behind him the creature turned its head to roar only to have its eyes glaze over and its head slowly slide off to the ground from the clean cut. It was now over...but for Zain the party was only beginning as he began to make his way to wards Phay and there new uninvited visitor. With a loud cracking noise Zains Wings folded and resided back into his back as the two holes slowly healed shut. Aside from the blood upon him, everything would look normal.
"O where..o where could my new little friend be.., Did she..abandon me...hehe..."

When Dirk caught up with Phay his legs burned from exhaustion, the lack of food would do that to a person. He stood against a tree bent over huffing away. Why did he split up from Trega, how was he supposed to know she was going to take this long to hunt, she was never this long. Dirk would look at Phay as he stood tall, letting out a sigh of relief. 'Haaa... it sucks to be this big sometimes.'
Remembering why he had followed her Dirk would take a step towards Phay and held out his hand. 'Greetings, my name is Dirk.' His stomach would let out a large growl and he would grip it with his other hand. 'Er, you wouldn't happen to have a bit of food to trade for something, I ran out the day before yesterday and I haven't found my partner.'
Normally he would have waited for Trega, but he doubted she would find him here in this strange forest. Right now he would do anything for some food, he'd slay a thousand monsters, or chop down one of these large trees with his claymore.

Phay simply looked down at his hand, not bothering to be to polite, "Phay..." She said simply. She lifted an eyebrow at the man taking in how he looked more closely. If anything he looked very odd to Phay, but she wasn't a judgmental person so she said nothing. Instead she looked back at the forest; the dark hollowing amber glow it gave off was less then inviting but still Zain might need her help.
She turned her attention back to Dirk her eyes flashed him a dark look that hadn't been intentional it was just her instinct. "Yeah I got food..." Her voice was bitter, but to tell the truth she didn't have much only a sandwich and a few apples that where safely hidden in her pouch which lay hidden under her cloak. "But, I'll only give them to you if you promise to help me." She folded her arms nudging her head in the direction of the forest. "I got a...uh..." Phay sighed mentally she didn't want to say friend she really didn't. "Well anyway, he's in there fighting creatures by himself and I\m worried that he might be in trouble."
With that Phay began walking, deciding whether she got help or not she was going back to find Zain. "If you agree then come on...if not have fun starving." Phay looked back only slightly but there was a light smirk on her face. Out of habit Phay but her hood back on making her way back into the forest.
