looks can be decieving...
Araceli stands at an intimidating 5'8", and having always been considered too tall to be a lady of delicate sensibility, she has a nasty habit of hunching in a particularly modelesque way. Ari's hair is a dark menace. Usually piled atop her head or thrown hastily into a ponytail, her hair is full of wave, bloated with volume, and is very very naughty. Her dark chocolate brown hair often has a mind of its own. Araceli's deep hazel eyes are usually a reflection of her sporadic mood. They appear lighter or darker depending on the state of her emotions.
She has pale skin, an uncanny mark of her Vampyrism--as are the two delicately extended canines that protrude from her gums, among many other, perhaps more hidden traits. Araceli has never tried to mask the fact that she is indeed a Vampire, but of course, when the situation calls for it, she is a pro at hiding her true nature.

the essances of the woman...
Araceli is an extremely quick-witted, clever and - most importantly - a sarcastic female. At her most calm and centered state, Araceli exudes a pleasant sense of kindness and social prowess, her tenancy to be liked by everyone a mere consequence of her very nature. However, as congenial as Ara may seem to most, she has a wrath that can smite anyone who opposes her. Thankfully, Araceli is not one to be easily offended, and holds her rare malice for only those that do her a severe injustice.
Araceli loves to travel, and is considered by some to be overly flighty. Ari is a very determined person, and will get done, what needs to be done, but she just loves the feeling of being free. Ari is a little bit in love with herself. Which doesn't mean she doesn't love anyone else. Ari has a big heart that can fit a multitude of people, but whenever she catches a glimpse of herself in the mirror, she can't help but smile. Ari is a jack of all trades. She a diplomat, a fighter and an anarchist all rolled into one. Her personality is one big contradiction, and she loves herself that way.
Ari is slightly quirky. A few of those quirks inlude: If Ari is in a room, all the doors must be firmly shut or she cannot concentrate. When Ari stretches one muscle, she must stretch out the rest of her body or she is completely uncomfortable. Ari hates spiders. If there is one in a room, she will not, under any circumstances re-enter that room for at least two to three hours.

She was born Principessa Araceli Romana Lucca Alric De' Medici in 1634 on May 8th, in Florence, where her mother, Consort Queen of Florence, Margerat De' Medici ruled over the area and over the highly powerful De' Medici clan. The family is known throughout history as being one of the most sharp witted and devious group of social climbers to ever grace the crown, and the rumor mongors wouldn't be too far from the truth. The family was a fearsome thing and was most definitely not one to be trifled with. And with that said, Araceli was absolutely no different than her mother, or any of her other kinsman. The woman, when mortal was fierce and remarkably loyal to the line. She was extremely intelligent, having been tutored by the brightest minds throughtout Italy, quickly learning French, English, Latin, Romanian and Spanish in no time flat. She was incredibly keen when it came to affairs of the state, and though she was remarkably young, she was fast being groomed to be the most powerful woman in all of Italy and its surrounding territories. It was a month after her 19th birthday, and exactly three weeks before her corination to the thrown when she met a darkly handsome man name Kale Magahura Lucani. The man was a complete mystery to her, and to her mother, but he charmed his way through the social ranks with great ease until he was well situated within the dominion of the Queen. Margerat was very, very fond of Kale, and had high hopes of making him Araceli's consort.
It was two days from her corination that Kale kidnapped her from the palace and took her to his tattered villa on the outskirts of the city. It was there that she was bitten, there that she consumed Kale's blood, and there that she became what she is today. Una Vampira. Kale left her, broken and bloodied, not long after she completed her transformation. She was weak with bloodloss and starving with the thirst that was brought on by her new species, and she was completely alone. Araceli was strangely well aware that she could not return to her mother's palace, she knew that she would never be queen. The woman was eternally a princess, and she was damned angry at Kale for what he had done to her. He'd ended her life, robbed her of her title and her family and then deserted her. She decided, on that day, that she would find Kale and have her revenge on him.
But after seven years of searching and not one hint at the man's whereabouts, she gave up her determined attitude. She was constatly starving, because even after seven years, she was still a new Vampire and still extremely ravenous with blood lust. The Vampiress roamed the countryside of Florence quite alone for several months after she'd given up her search, keeping a close but distanced eye over her mother. With the loss of Araceli, the heir to her thrown, Magerat had been struck with illness brought on by stress at the disappearance of her most treasured daughter. Although Magerat cared deeply for Araceli, the woman never showed it, and left Ari with a feeling of grudging resentment towards her mother. It always seemed, to Araceli, that the Queen was much more interested in the woman Ari was going to be after she ascended the thrown, than the woman she was, as the princess. And so, it was when Ari was lurking around the castle in the dead of night that she happened upon the first other immortal that she'd ever seen since Kale. His name was Liam, and he was an insanely beautiful man. The two almost got into a fight, upon first coming across each other, but it was Liam who stayed the battle, sensing within Ari the familial ties that bound them both. Liam was a chylde of Kale as well, and, much like Ari, had been abandoned very soon after his siring. Liam had been alive for a far greater time than Araceli, and he began to teach her the ways of being a Vampire. Though Ari was completely opposed to the taking of human life, Liam didn't mind it, and so while Liam fed plentifully on the blood of mortals, he in turn offered her his own neck in which to take sustenance.
Araceli and Liam were nigh inseperable for centuries. They traveled the world together and became exceedingly close, sharing their unlives together. In the late 20th century, however, the two decided to part ways for a short time, and that was when Araceli met Logan Darc. Logan was, if anything, a bastard of a man, but she loved him with all of her heart. He became her second sire, and she was bound to him, and inducted into the house of The Sanguine Ankh. It was there that Logan and his sire, Elisha, taught her the method of "La Bevanda Poco" or The Little Drink. Ari learned, with a great deal of self control that only came with age, to take small drinks from her prey, and leave them with enough blood to merely make them dizzy and lightheaded, so that they would forget the incident altogether. She fed herself well with The Little Drink and grew stronger and much more skilled because of it. During her time in the Ankh, she developed a love for Logan that was fierce and untethered, but the man was an emotional mute and in love with his own sire, Elisha, and therefore could not give Araceli the love she so desired. It killed her to watch him, everyday and he pined for Elisha while she pined for him, and so she left, severing her bonds with Logan and with the family. It killed her to do so, for she loved Elisha, and loved the members of the Ankh dearly, but her love for Logan was driving her mad, and she felt as though she needed to get away from him.
She met up with Liam in around 2003 in New York City, and they continued on together in the city until he was brutally murdered, given the final death by someone right under Ari's nose. She knows that Liam's killer was a professional, for the Vampire was over 1,000 years old, and incredibly powerful. She--being so sick of the people around her disappearing--fled New York and moved south a bit. It was not long after Liam's death that she stumbled upon Noctum, a city so teeming with supernatural beings that she couldn't help but be interested. It was in Noctum that she met the White Archangel, Malachi, and fell very, very deeply in love with him. After an 8 month relationship, Chi proposed to Araceli and accepted most readily, and they married on April 25, 2010 at 8:00pm at the Noctum New Testament Church. The couple is extremely loyal to one another, and very madly in love.

A Brief Description of Why Ari Would Be Good For This Role:
Araceli is a born leader and is an entirely no nonsense type of girl. The Vampiress is fair, but very strict and is more than willing to do whatever it takes to rein the Vampiric community in, if only to keep them from hurting mortals. It is Araceli's wish to teach her kinsmen "La Bevanda Poco." Araceli would consider her alignment to be Lawfully Good, and, though many of her kind will disagree with her agenda, she is a remarkably hard woman to resist. Given this role as the Lady of the Vampire House, Araceli will strive to unite the Vampiric community against those that seek to destroy them, give them the power in their fighting prowess, and make sure that the secret is kept.
