Her curls bounced against her back as she jumped over the broken bench and sped off into the wooden area. She looked like a goddess of a hunt running, but she did not feel so. If she could get out of this alive, she may yet establish herself somewhere more prosperous. The smell of blood reached her delicate nose and she looked down to see that she was torn on her neck and partially exposed down the middle of her abdomen. Her bright eyes searched for any coverage, or at least some water to kill her scent. Lycans were brutes and they had not taken care of her very well. Idiots, they had no idea what they had in their hands when she was turned over. She was a notorious slave; once one of the most valued ones alive.
Until she killed her last master.
Ravina Crosse gulped in the night air and listened for water. If she could just kill the smell of the blood, she would be fine. Ravina ran faster than most humans but not fast enough to stay alive. This would require a bit of cunning. Ravina stopped where she was and grinned. Tugging off her skirt, she threw it over to the side and then proceeded to pull off her shirt. She had underwear and a camisole underneath; she would be fine. As soon as she had her arms free, she was running in the direction of what she hoped to be a safe area.
Before she could pass out, she found herself in a little hidden alcove type woods and sat down with her head resting on the tree behind her. Maybe she would be better off just living wild and feeding off of passerby. Or she could just fake being a whole vampire and return to Bulgaria. Ravina laid her head back and slowly drifted off to sleep. Oblivious to anyone or anything as her body finally relaxed.

Kayen Storm was walking through the woods on the edge of the city. They were not very far from his home either, so he had no reason not to be out for a walk in the night air. His dirty blonde curls hung about his muscular shoulders and his multi colored eyes scanned around slowly. Black leather combat boots crushed the ground below him as he stopped.
He smelled blood and further away, fainter, he could smell Lycans. Turning on his feet, Kayen hurried towards the source of the blood. As he drew nearer, he could tell the blood was Vampiric and he ran faster. Just as Kayen came upon the scantily clad woman, so too had a pair of the hunting Lycans.
Kayen quickly drew a pair of silver 9mm Berettas from his black cargo pants and he opened fire at the Lycans as he ran up a nearby tree and flipped over the Lycans. One of the silver bullets hit a Lycan in the chest and the other was struck in the head. Both of the creatures howled and writhed in agony as they died.
The handguns were holstered and Kayen quickly knelt over the woman. She was beautiful and at least part Vampire -- and he was short on allies right now -- so Kayen decided to help her. He gently patted the girl on the cheek and spoke loudly enough for her to hopefully hear "Wake up!" Kayen knew more Lycans weren't far and whoever she was, she had to be important.

Guns, she could smell the silver and her eyes snapped open for a fraction of a minuet to see Lycans being shot. But her body was weakened. Ravina needed blood...she had not had any for a long time and being half Vampire still meant you needed it every once in a great while. Her body shook as a coldness set in and she rested her dark head back against her tree she had claimed. Whatever it was could just go away. She wanted to sleep as of now.
Ravina awoke with a jolt and stared back into a pair of blue eyes. Instinctivly, she went into attack mode and showed her fangs growing over her full bottom lip. She was not afraid of anyone and she was not in such a mood to be toyed with. "Go away!" she hissed violently. Her eyes roamed over his body and she saw the guns. He had shot the beast. He had helped. Ravina bowed her head and sighed, "I am sorry. Thank you." She pushed herself up slowly and looked back at him. "Help me and I will do you great honor." Her voice was thickly accented with Bulgarian and her eyes glowed in what little light shone through the trees.

Kayen hissed right back when she hissed at him and she could see his fangs. When she apologized, he relaxed and then he nodded when she asked for help. He wrapped one of his strong arms around her back and then he stood up with her in his arms. He knew she wasn't fully Vampire so he had to get her to safety quickly and his home was a little too far.
He looked around quickly and then he started to walk with the woman as fast as he could towards an abandoned building. He guided her into the door and quickly up a set of rotting stairs and then he laid her down on a very old looking couch as he whispered "My name's Kayen. What happened to you?"
He quickly lifted the woman's shirt just enough to check her for wounds because he didn't know how much healing ability a hybrid would have. He was also trying to ignore the blood because hers was Human enough to make him crazy. "Does blood accelerate your healing process like a full blooded Vamp?"

She turned her head away when he hissed, but kept her eyes locked on his. She was not going to be afraid any longer. No, never again would she be put through hell. Ravina sighed in relief as he acknowledged her apology and helped her up. If she stayed calm and kept her promise, she should be alright for now at least. She was still extremley dizzy and she felt sick from not having any blood. It really should not be this bad, but she had lost so much earlier.
Ravina moved as quick as she could as he led them to a run down building. At least they would be hidden here. That was all she cared about. She laid down heavily on the couch, her long dark hair fanning out over the cushions. She was dead beat and weary. Never in her life had she been so tired and ready to just give up. She nodded in acknowledgement of his name, "I am a slave. The last master to hold me was abusive. He came to me one night...and I killed him. He was Lycan and beat me...raped me...did awful things. Now they want me for revenge killing."
Ravina squirmed as he lifted her shirt up to check her. She was torn a little, but what was worse was the blood loss. And him being a full Vampire was most likely going insane from the smell of her. She was once again dizzy as she tried to lift her head to get a better look at him. He was tall with blonde hair, that was all she could get before she fell back into the couch. "Yes, blood does help me." Ravina sighed and tried to shake off the dizziness, "My name is Ravina Crosse."

Kayen knelt down next to the couch with the woman as she told her story and then he nodded his head. When she introduced herself, he smiled softly. He looked around again and then he sighed once more. He had to find her a source of fresh blood and that meant he had to leave her for a few moments. He stood up and pulled one of the handguns from under his trench coat and then he held it out to her.
"Silver bullets... 15 rounds. I'll be back quickly I'm going to find something for you to eat." Kayen smiled reassuringly to Ravina and then he hurried downstairs and out of the building. It didn't take long for him to find a small homeless camp. As he snuck through the tents, Kayen eventually found a younger girl who didn't look like an alcoholic. He tore into the tent and covered the mouth of his victim and then he started back towards Ravina with her.

Ravina was thankful he did not get rid of her when he heard the part about her last master. Many wanted her dead after killing him. Ravina was not sorry that she chose to do it though, she would rather have the Lycans kill her than suffer what she did in that holding. She tried to smile as best as she could, but the moment called only for a tiny grimace and an up turned corner of her lips. She was thankful, she would have been tortured back there. Her golden eyes watched him as he stood and pulled the guns out.
She nodded, "I know how to use them. Thank you, Kayen." She watched him go and turned her head back around. Ravina was used to comfort, luxury, and yes, she was very spoiled for a slave. She had been treated like a prize and she had acted like one to her last master. So no, she did not feel bad for the killing of him. A short breath caught her attention and she sat up with the gun raised. Surely they could not have tracked her this far? Ravina pulled the gun and prepared herself, she was not taking any chances tonight.

Kayen had reached the front of the building with the still struggling girl in his arms. He hissed loudly as he yanked her into the dark building and Ravina could probably hear them. Unfortunately, if there were Lycans in the building Kayen wasn't exactly paying attention; he was fighting with the soon to be victim. The girl screamed and slapped Kayen and then he quickly punched her across the face.
A few minutes later, Kayen carried the girl upstairs and dropped her on the floor next to Ravina. She was unconscious with a huge bruise on her jaw. Kayen looked down to Ravina as he stepped towards her. "Feast... she is yours, Ravina..."

She could smell the flesh as Kayen and her meal came into the dark building. It was fresh and clean compared to the things she had been sucking dry lately. Her teeth pressed against her lips as they grew in anticipation of fresh blood. She ached for it almost. Thankfully the Lycans had not found them as of yet. Maybe she could revive herself enough to get out of this alive and be on her way. Ravina would keep her promise, then leave. It should be as simple as that. Ravina picked up the sound of the girl's scream and smiled wickedly. She loved to play with her food if she could. The Bulgarian hybrid was rather ruthless and cruel about her food.
She gleamed at Kayen as he tossed the girl to the floor. She was perfect, her tiny body held just the right about of nourishment she needed to revive herself. Her long legs slid around and she stood her full height with a smirk on her full lips. Her body stooped to pick the girl's head up and she took her chin to force her head back into a sickening angle. With a swift motion, her teeth grew their full length and she latched on to the girl. Fresh blood poured into her mouth until she moaned with happiness and lapped up the last of it. She tossed the girl down and licked her lips happily. "Thank you. You have been most kind... I owe you my life now. I shall go with you if you wish me to."

Kayen grinned slowly as he watched the beautiful specimen of a Vampire drain her victim. The very sight of it started to arouse him and he shook his head gently to himself. As she fed, Kayen walked over to the window and peered through the boards covering the broken glass, looking around for any Lycans that may have found them. It looked safe still...
Turning back to Ravina, Kayen walked over to her and he knelt down to check on the drained girl. She was still alive, so Kayen covered her mouth with one hand and wrapped the other hand around her throat. As the girl struggled unsuccessfully, Kayen looked up to Ravina and spoke coldly "always make sure your victims are dead... we don't want wild, untrained Vampires running around. This one would have wreaked havoc."
Once the girl was dead, Kayen stood up and licked the blood from his hand. He stepped over the dead body and started towards the stairway, looking back to the half Vamp. "Come with me. You will come with me to my home where you will be safe from the Lycans. And then we can get to know each other more... and you can explain to me how you ended up with the fleabags."

Ravina's eyes always turned a honey gold after feeding. Whether it was just from her personality, or her ancesery, it always happened after she fed. Her body rejoiced in the fresh blood and she always became more aware of her sexuality of course, like any Vampire. After making sure her face was cleaned, she turned back to look at the Vampire that had saved her. She owed him her life pretty much.
Her golden eyes watched as he checked the girl she had drained. No, she had not killed her like she assumed she had. Ravina was still learning the tricks of drinking the last drop. She would have to be more careful indeed. As the pittiful thing struggled in his powerful grip, she watched rather amused with a small knowing smile on her face. At least now she would remember to do that next time. She nodded her head slowly and stored what she learned away in the back of her mind.
"As you wish," was all she replied as she stepped over the body with her bare feet that were a bit dirty from her escape. She did not care where he took her or what he wanted, as long as she did not have to go back with the Lycans. If there was one thing that disgusted her most, it was those beast. Ravina pulled her hair out of her face as her feet made little tap noises on the stairs.

Kayen led the pair out of the building and he looked around quickly. Taking a deep breath, he smelled the air... the scents were many but he was only seeking the Lycans. There was nothing nearby, they had evaded them... at least for now. Kayen smiled back to Ravina as he started to walk down the streets quickly with her toward the edge of the city and the graveyard.
