The dusk colors settled in like a heavy blanket among the field of old oaks, giving it's surroundings a hazy atmosphere. The treetops block out most of the evening rays, letting in only pools of sunlight every so often. Night would soon be here along with the monsters that lured within it and that was something Phay didn't want to be caught up in.
She walked in a steady pace mentally kicking herself. Of all the places she could take an unexpected nap she had to take one in the bloody woods! With not only wild animals to kill her, vampires, werewolves even black angels could be nestled in here, ready to jump at her in a moments notice. She sighed trying to calm herself she stopped for a moment looking,listening...
and with the faint chirp of a few sparrows Phay let go of the breath she had been holding. As long as she could her birds or any other animal she new she was relatively safe.
Phay kept walking, hoping for the life of her she was heading back towards the city, as much as she hated the city it was a lot safer than the woods, well not really but for her in the city she had more room to run to hide to escape even fend off anything that tried to kill her but here in the woods, where you could see anything, there was no where to hid and no where to run.
She looked up and off in the distance saw the clearing of the sky starting to open up into the field and then from the field to the city. She was relieved but the feeling didn't show it on her face. It would be night time in a few minutes but that is all the time she needed to get out into the field at least there she could see things coming at her from a distance.
Suddenly she stopped her eyebrows crippled with worry, she turned around slowly, though not showing on her face the fear creaked up her spin as she listened to the heart pounding noise of nothing...
The birds had stopped singing.

isis;;
A soft sigh came from the necromancer. It seemed like things may have been getting better for her, but still, she was afraid of the world around her, the places that she had grew up in. Balam had been some comfort, yes, with the shifter's soft well-spoken words, the quiet reassurance he had given her in their first meeting. However, Isis was still terrified of the men that approached her, the Lycans in the city in general; Dark Fang had left a deep scar on her mind and emotional ways, besides those that lacerated her body. On her cheek there was one, a very small scar, that even a vampire could barely see. It ran down from near the bottom of the woman's eye to her jaw-line, like that of a tear-drop. There were those around her neck, claws marks, thick and jagged lines from his hands. And then, long, deeper ones that had run down her back, once porcelain skin ruined and marked up horribly, all for the sick pleasure that the Lycan had wished to be presented with.
However, things were looking up for her. Isis had become more social, almost back to par with what she usually had, though even then, she was a quiet person. The outdoors, isolated from the people of the city, had become her sanctuary, along with the lower crypts of which her master kept the books and ancient artifacts that he had collected over the years. A soft breeze blew by, ruffling her red clothes. They were robes, her baggy red pants acquainted with bare feet most of the time, the red shirt she wore with a wide v-neck, enough to show Isis’ thorn tattoo, symbolizing she was a slave to the world around her. The short blond hair she possessed was blown in her eyes as well, and a pale hand came up to brush it away from there.
Isis moved quietly through the woods, dark and sinister to some, and inviting to others. However, as she kept moving through there, coming into the forest from the city, not wishing to spend the night in the tower that Lucis Erif owned. Despite having a curfew with him, as was with the usual rules he had for the slaves, Isis was becoming more and more independent from him, preferring to be alone, not in the company of his other slaves. It became very quiet all of a sudden, and Isis was jerked back into the reality of where she was. A small, short laugh came from Isis as she realized it was because of her it was quiet. The animals knew that she wasn’t really alive, not really dead, either, and so, a mix of the two, having died once herself. The necromancer could make out a shape coming toward her, definitely feminine, though the slave wasn’t sure what species she was. “Hey,” she called out, softly, knowing that they would be able to hear, as she stood next to one of the large oak trees, using it as a place to lean up against.

Phay automatically jerked her head up towards the noise, there standing between her and her safety was a figure clothed in red. Phay narrowed her eyes, pulling her hood up over her head so that it would be harder to see her face, she also pulled her cloak more around her so you could no longer see the rest of her body. Her hand gripped her sword, ready to be unsheathed at a moments notice.
As Phay got closer she began to make out the figure that had so casually slumped themselves against a tree, It was a girl about her age if not younger; big round almost innocent eyes looked at her from under her pale locks, along with a small cheeky smile that should have stretched from ear to ear but was held back by the girl but the eyes...
There what caught Phay attention the most, they were deep chocolate brown, soft and almost welcoming they weren't hard and cold like so many others she had seen and most certainly not like hers. They were like a portal into the girls soul, the honestly, the caring, the genuineness that was so clear to read. It was over powering Phay had to turn away from them. She wasn't about to be fooled even if the girl was innocent and defiantly not about to make a conversation.
With that she passed the girl acting as if she was invisible. Only when a small hand touched her shoulder did Phay flinch and snap, she wiped around causing the poor girl to fall backwards. Phay loomed down on her the sun casting a shadow on her making her seem a lot sinister, she face was almost completely cover in shadow and the only thing that glow was the soft icy stare of her cold eyes.
The girl looked up at her if anything a little surprised maybe afraid. "Back off..."Phay voice though deep and angry, still held her accent and as Phay continued to stare into those deep pools, she only got angrier.

Isis watched the girl come forward toward her, but she ignored her. It seemed that this woman was not a threat; at least, not yet, according to the way Isis worked. One of her small, slender and pale hands lightly touched the older girl's shoulder, and that caused the passer-by to snap. Shoved to t he ground roughly, Isis twisted so that she was facing the woman, who had very little of her body showing. Big, brown eyes looked up at her, a slight fear there, but mostly of mild surprise. Isis knew very well that people weren't always friendly and caring; few in this world of cruelties were. The eyes of the woman were coldd, and had something hidden beneath them, so it seemed.
"I won't hurt you," Isis whispered, not out of fear, but more like a gentle reassurance to the woman. She may have been two years older that Isis, but the blondie had seen too much of the world for a person her age. Isis had been to hell and back, liuterally and figuratively. She had seen her own family slaughtered, and had died herself to go to hell and reciee the necromancer powers she now possessed. Isis had been brutally raped, had been shaken up and near broken beyond repair, but had pulled through on a small string of hope that had manifested itself within her. "Not unless you give me a reason too," the taller, though more timid, of the two women continued.
Getting up, shakily at that, Isis looked at the woman before her. She was a curious one, a mystery to the necromancer, and Isis couldn't help but have a small smile spread to her round, child-like face. Almost everything about her was like that of a child's, though her chest said otherwise. "I'm Isis," she introduced herself, looking down to her bare feet, shy once more.

"And I'm none of your business. "
Phay's eyebrow gave a twitch, first the girl threaten her now she was introducing herself! and she had the nerve to act all coy and shy about it. Phay gave out a growl, of all the things she had expected in these god forsaken woods she had to say the this girl was the least.
The girl looked nothing older than a child but then Phay's eyes fell to girls breast's and...ah...
...
Well Phay guessed she wasn't a child, not to mention the slight tallness the girl had.
Then Phay notice something, the symbol that was crafted onto the girls neck. "You're a slave..."She hadn't meant that to come out especially so gently this cause the girl to blink a little she smiled again this time slightly wider maybe thinking she was easing up a little. Phay quickly hardened herself, no way she was going to let some halfwit toy with her.
She back away slightly listening, the birds were still gone...that meant this girl was anything but human. The girl continue to smile at her, she was practically beaming with happiness. Ugh it was giving Phay a headache. She held her head closing her eyes maybe when she open them the girl would be gone but when she did the girl was still there...
Still smiling...
Finally shaking her head, collecting herself, Phay looked at the girl one more time, before turning away from the girl looking back at the direction towards the city.
And without looking at her Phay simply said. "Go away..."

Isis wasn't stupid. She was simply stubborn.
Most people didn't see that, and so, Isis never explained things to them. A small frown came over her mouth that was once in a slight smile, as the woman made it so that Isis had no clue who she was, not in the slightest. However, it was easy to tell she wasn't a vampire, Lycan, or shifter.. vampires had that noticeable chill in the air, and Lycans and shifters had pupils that were like slits at times, or extended so far that the iris wasn't seen especially in a dark like this. No cat ears proved that a neko was out, and a fellow necromancer was easy to spot. However, this lady didn't have anything like that, and so, she was either a physic vampiress, a soul eater, a white angel, or a human. Black angels were the fallen, and had a broken or deformed wing for all to see.
"Yes," she replied simply, looking to the woman who was still unnamed, the small smile back on her face at the friendliness. "I'm a slave." The thorn tattoo hd survived the brutal attack of Dark Fang, and so, it was easy to see. She didn't question Phay's odd antics, but the smile began to slip away as the urge to figure out what was wrong with the stranger started to grow. The woman would not look at her, but turned away, and Isis' brown eyes grew sad, and the smile went away altogether.
"W-what's wrong? I didn't do anything, did I?" she hesitantly asked, not sure of the outcome of her question. Isis wasn't acting like her usual self, becoming defensive like the woman in front of her, or simply choosing to confront the person. "I haven't harmed you, haven't insulted you, and yet you ignore me for no reason." The childishness was near gone now. "So suck it up and tell me why you don't like me, right off the bat, before you even give me your name..."

Phay look at her for a quick moment before looking away again she didn't feel like answering anymore questions. She didn't understand why this girl was getting so worked up over it. Usually people especially from this city are the same way as Phay cold, distance. She was sure this was nothing new to the girl and yet there she was getting hot-headed over something so stupid.
When the girls last sentence escaped her lips, Phay finally lost it, she whirled around. The sky blue in her eyes had darker dangerously making her look like a serial killer ready to purge there next victim.
" Because I do! I don't need a reason." She back up a little the hatefulness dripping from her voice like venom.
"My name shouldn't matter to you, because frankly this is as close as we are going to get." She reeled in toward Iris who by now was back up against the tree she had be so casually stumped against only moments ago.
"So I'll say it again and this timeListen!" She growled her voice was dark. "Goaway"
By now Phay had be brought out into a full blown temper, which was odd she distinctly remember having a little more patience than this. Maybe it was this girl...something about her was making Phay go over the edge but she couldn't pin point it. She back away completely from the girl once again turning back towards the city and began walking away never once looking back at the girl.

Isis had to hid the amused smirk. She was good at reading people, and this woman seemed to be frustrated not only at Isis, but herself as well. Leaning back up against the tree, Isis let her yell at her, an impassive expression on Isis' face. A soft frown was on there as the woman started to walk away toward the city again, and Isis followed, ignoring the lady's harsh warning from before. The woman was getting annoyed with Isis, yes, but she wouldn't give up. Her gut was telling her not to.
"Hey, no, come on.." Isis' voice had a hint of sadness in it, not liking to be hurt like that, even by a stranger. "It won't hurt to talk, you know.. I have no weapons on me; check if you want." Isis wasn't lying, for the only weapon she had was simply the dead, though that wasn't something she would point out to the stranger. "Honestly. J-Just.. just please don't walk away.." Isis didn't touch the woman again, but followed behind her. She was out of range if the woman wanted to hit her, so it was good enough a safe place, for the moment. It was the desrie to not be alone, to have that overwhelming helplessness engulf her that made Isis follow the stranger, besides the fact that the lady wouldn't talk to her at. She was terrified of being alone again, and now the woman was beginning to enjoy having people to talk to, to have them to associate with and lift her spirits, to make her feel loved for who she was, and not to be afraid of everything in the world that hid in the shadows.
A shattered piece of glass pierced her bare foot, and Isis stopped to lift it off the ground to take it out. However, it proved slightly difficult, and so, she hurried to catch up with the woman that had so coldly left her and refused to talk at all. It was pathetic how the necromancer followed the woman, so out of her character. "Please," she whispered one last time.

The girl wasn't going away, no instead she was following her like a lost kitten. Pleading for her to wait and talk with her. Most of Phay's anger had left and now she was mostly just annoyed. Annoyed by the girl, annoyed with herself, annoyed with the fact that it was now dark and she was no where near the city.
She listen to the soft footsteps of the girl behind her, She didn't understand this girl one bit worst off the girl was making her feel weird, she didn't like the feeling that was growing in her chest, she had never felt it before and her gut told her to stop feeling it before something bad happened.
The girl's footsteps change slightly, there was a gap in one step Phay glanced over her shoulder, to notice the girl bent over holding her foot were a piece of glass had lodged itself. Good now maybe she could get some distance between them she walk a little faster.
The girl gave one last whimpering plea and Phay caved in. She abruptly turned around causing the girl who was trying so hard to catch up with her stop also only she must not of been expecting it do to the fact that she once again fell backwards.
She stare up at Phay kinda dumbly as if she hadn't thought Phay would turn around and Phay wouldn't had she shouldn't have...but much to her own secret amazement she did.
She fucking hated herself for it too. Looking down at the girl she lifted an eyebrow at her, though she doubt the girl could see it.
"You're so pathetic..."

Isis didn't show the satisfaction that had wormed its way into her when the woman gave in to her small and desperate pleas. Her foot had stopped bleeding already, and a small smile came her way, spreading across her face, ignoring the woman's harsh words for the time being once more.
However, the surprise couldn't be fully contained, and it showed very clearly on the round face of the woman. "I'm not pathetic. I'm just.." Isis let her words trail off there, looking down. "Why won't you talk to me?" she whispered, a small hand reaching out to her, hesitantly, afraid, almost.
Isis was actins quite oddly, usually a confident person, soft-spoken though, most of the time. It was... different, being ignored, and having someone walk away from you. No, Isis was not pathetic in the least, but a bit desperate to cling onto this new bit of company that seemed to have captured her interest for the moment. After all, this woman was still a mystery, having not even introduced herself to the necromancer, her large brown eyes seeking those icy ones that rejected her with the expression held within. A soft sigh came from the blond woman, a hand withdrawing from the woman, not wishing to antagonize her. That hand then went up to trace the thorn tattoo around her neck, the mark of a slave visible to all the fell upon that area of her body, the upper torso, along with her breasts.

Phay grumbled, glad the girl had put her hand down. Not wanting to know what she might have done if she had kept it up any longer. Then she notice the girl trailing her hand along the tattoo, she was looking away almost like she was doing it unconsciously.
"Say..." The girl looked up at her hopefully and Phay automatically shut herself up. She looked away from the girl but then glance down again to see that Isis was giving that sad puppy look.
She scratched the side of her head; this was becoming awkward. What could Phay say to ease the girl away from her more gently. "I'm nothing but trouble..?" No that was lame plus it didn't sound like her at all.
Then Phay notice the small piece of glass that had crested itself inside her foot and with that Phay cold exterior dulled a little though not completely gone, her voice soften like that of a mother talking to her child.
"Now...now there is no reason for this okay?" she patted the girls head gently. She knelt down the cloak never revealingly the weapons that lad underneath, she pulled the small knife out of her boot, grabbing the girls foot gently. She felt the girls foot flinch slightly but ignored it.
Using the dull side of the she pulled the glass out of the girl's foot, making sure it was painless she flick the glass away. Putting her knife in her boot she stood back up the cold exterior was coming back but there was a slight, very faint gentle tone to it.
"Besides don't you have some master that you should be with right now?"

Isis just wanted the woman to soften up in any way possible. The small necromancer wasn't sure how the woman looked at life, though she seemed kind of bitter. Bitterness ruined lives, even the seventeen year old knew that, a life lesson that she had seen come into play many times with her life as a slave. The woman spoke, and her eyes lit up, with something like hope, though they disappeared the moment she looked away from the necromancer. Isis gave her that sad look with her large brown doe eyes, letting her know that she wouldn't be giving in so easily.
As the woman touched her, Isis smiled completely, content with the woman opening up to her just that tiny bit. As she bent down to her foot, Isis flinched backwards, though the stranger ignored that as well. It seemed she had no problem dealing with blood and gore, though that didn't shock the little necromancer. Isis had no problem with that either, it was just her own blood and such that she didn't like to see. She had nightmares when she was little, about the vampire tearing her up, and Isis was forced to watch herself be killed, the insides of her body unnaturaly being pulled out, a toy for the bloodthristy beast...
The glass was removed from her foot almost expertly, and Isis bit her lip as the pain sprung up, but was then nulled easily. "Thanks," she said softlyknowing that someting, probably more weapons, were hidden beneath the cloak that hid nearly everything about the stranger. Isis had seen enough blood and gore, along with assasins, murderers, rapists, mecenaries and the like, to know how weapons were hidden. Not all those that she summoned back from the netherworld were dead, decaying, and having no mind at all, under the girl's control. "My master has no need for me at the moment," Isis said just as soft, her voice not quite breaking the silence that still surrounded the two ladies. It was because of Isis, yes, and a palm dropped to the ground, spread out, to sense any other beings besides themselves. There was none.
"If he did.. then that would be a different stroy, no? Besides, Miss...?" Isis let that part upturn into a question for her name, licking her lips, for the forest did strange things to the girl, a tension relieved from her. "If he did, I wouldn't be here at all."

"Uh...huh" Phay really didn't know what to say to what the girl had said since she never really had a conversation with a slave before. The whole concept kinda creep her out.
The girl had left a gap open for Phay to tell her name, maybe if she told her the girl would leave her alone. She growled in frustration turning away from the girl staring up at the night sky. "It's...Phay."
She could feel the girl smiling at her but she did her best to resist looking back to see. "I have to go..." The girl gave a pleading why and Phay sighed. "Because I'm tired and I have to find somewhere to sleep..." She looked at the girl and she could tell she was getting a rather odd look from her so she decided not to finish the sentence.
With that Phay walked away from her again, she could her the girl give a sigh of disappointment. Phay stopped looking at the girl one last time she looked like she was finally giving up.
"You can walk with me...just until we get to the city." Phay had thought out loud and for a moment hope the girl hadn't heard her but fate wasn't that kind because seconds after she had said it the girl was next to her smiling. "Wait...I..ah," Phay sighed in defeat growling she began walking again.
"Just...don't fall behind..."

Isis was practically a bundle of joy, the new person in her life introduced as Phay. The necromancer knew that she wouldn't hurt her, not when the woman had helped her after getting so annoyed with her from before. The woman could stand Isis even for just a bit, it seemed, and so, Phay would most likely befriend Isis. "It's not awkward talking about me belonging to someone. It doesn't hurt my feelings, you know," she said gently, letting the newfound Phay know that Isis didn't mind that at all. It wa the usual curiousity, and so, the necromancer would have liked to sate that, being a friendly person to some people. Phay was one of those people. Isis wanted to melt that ice around her heart. Nobody should live like that, and as a person who controlled the undead, Isis knew what made people become the corpses that she controlled: regret and bitterness.
"I won't fall behind," Isis commented lightly. "Really.." A soft sigh came from the blond as well. This woman didn't want to open up, but Isis would gently do so, and learn new things as well, as she usually did with people. "Why don't you like hanging around people? You being a human, I can understand that to an extent" _Isis had figured out that she was a human, it took some figuring out, though not much- "but I won't hurt you. As for a place to crash.. I'm not sure if I can help there.."

She sighed really to tired to answer any of the girls questions. "Well it is for me. Look can we just drop the whole slave thing..." Phay wouldn't denied it, that sentence came out rather harshly.
The girl next to here gave a little pout, looking down at her feet as they walked. "Look don't worry about it because I don't need your help finding a place to stay." That was suppose to have come out a little nicer but as Iris lowered her head further Phay knew she lacked any sort of people skills.
"I'm not use to talking to people on a regular basis that's all." Phay wished she had kept her harsh tone because now Iris had pushed herself closer to Phay. Phay pushed her back clearly stating without words that Iris was getting ahead of herself the girl drew back but never seemed bother by it .
"So if you're not human what are you?" Phay didn't really care but at least if she talked to the girl, the walk would go by faster and the faster she got to the city the faster she could ditch this girl and all the trouble that no doubt followed behind her.
